Mr Inquisitor Deschain. I am waiting to you to inform you that this is in no manner an aggressive move against Volus from the Vjunite Government. Please note that a Unanimous Vote in the Senate granted Vjun the right to own this station and place it close to our Citizens' research station close to Volus for their own protection.
It should be noted from the multiple raids that the Volusian Security Forces appear to be stretched beyond breaking point and are unable to extend their defences to protect our citizens from any raids which may occur against the Vjunite Science Commission Sensor Array. As such we have taken these extraordinary measure for the protection of our citizens. It should be noted that this is a static defence station and does not threaten the Volusian Government or its Space in any manner. Vjun will always strive for the rights and lives of its citizens and will take any and all measures necessary and legal to assure their safety.
This said, the Volusian Government is illegally detaining two Imperial Citizens and a cargo vessel containing more than a million credits worth of Vjunite property. If you are able to see that these are returned to us un-harmed, we would be most appreciative. It should be added that the Vjun Government is a friend of Volus (despite what its misguided leaders may think) and we have nothing but friendship and amity in our hearts with regards to these poorly led people.
We hope that with the arrival of Imperial Forces, that the Vjun Science Commission Array's crew will not be forced to act in the defence of Volus, as it was forced to do today in repelling smugglers from the Volusian System.
I hope this soothes any concerns you may have.
Sir Charles Latromry
Gentleman-in-waiting to Lord Bernard Oriel, Earl of Malreaux
