My dear Moff Brandt,

It's been a long moment since we've had cause to converse. I would not trouble you but for the sake of clarifying some rumors I have heard lately. I do not keep up with much in the Senate, but as of late, Senator Ryuun of Druckenwell has been in contact regarding some plan of that Cambrist fellow's regarding the Outer Rim. Some such about helping the poor and downtrodden and removing pirates and threats to His Majesty's Empire. I am curious, if these are true, as to how much the Abrion Sector will need to contribute.

As you might be aware, the Abrion Sector is known as of late for having the lowest amounts of pirate activity among the majority of Imperial-controlled Rim sectors. If the need arises, I am willing to contribute some of my captains and crews who have received recognition in the bloody warfare that surrounds eradicating such distasteful enemies, but I must keep a tight ship at home. Do let me know.

Regards,

Geoff Cole

My friend, Moff Cole,

I am quite familiar with your success in the Abrion Sector, and I congratulate you for it. You'll be interested to know that it has not gone unnoticed here on Imperial Center; last weekend, in fact, I made a point of mentioning your counter-piracy campaign at His Majesty's court, and all of the councilors and officials present were familiar with it too, and impressed. There's also been word here that His Majesty is thinking of creating a new rank that is superior even to Moffs, a "High Moff" or "Grand Moff," and the talk here is that you'd be a good candidate for it (if anything comes of it, that is). But I digress.

Between you and me, I've been hearing that this Outer Rim improvement fetish is more than it seems. Cambrist isn't the sort of man to do anything out of the goodness of his heart, for one thing. But I was also talking to Ars Dangor about it the other day, and I had the distinct impression that he knew something about it that I didn't. When I asked him how many "boots" the Empire intended to send out there, he smiled that smile of his and said "We'll see." Could be quite a few, could be none. I can't be sure, but it's definitely being talked about in higher circles than yours or mine. I'll keep an ear open, of course, but in the meantime I wouldn't worry about it requiring too many of your forces, if any. On the other hand, if you want to put some forces in there, you're the man they'll probably go to.

I hope that you and all are well on Abrion Major. Do let me know the next time you plan to be on Imperial Center.

Regards,

His Excellency, Rainier Brandt
Moff of the Imperial Sector (i.e. Coruscant, et. al.)

My good Moff Brandt,

You do me far too much honor and glory to bring me up at His Majesty's court. Truly, I am in your debt, and I await eagerly to see what His Majesty intends to do. I cannot fully take all the credit though for though I was the tactician, it was the loyal men and women under my command, fighting for the glory and unending honor of the Empire, that has made such victories possible.

If a man is needed, I would offer my own Captain, Jeremy Brogan. He has been an excellent captain upon the ISD Cloak and his capabilities as a squadron leader are unmatched, at least among my people. I am sure he would fairly jump at the chance to have a hand in such a historical operation. I confess that at times, I feel the pull of the adventure myself... alas, Abrion and the sector are my home and I safeguard them against the enemies of the Empire. Better to let the younger generation try for glory, no?

I hope to visit Imperial Center within the month, time providing that I may. I hope to call upon you when I arrive.

Regards,

Geoff Cole
