Senator,

I would like to cordially invite you to chair the upcoming conference of The Society for the Improvement of the Outer Rim, known informally as the "Cormond Conference," on Brentaal. As you are doubtless aware, the conference is a meeting of distinguished politicians, as well as business leaders, academics, and Outer Rim improvement advocates. The goal is to come up with a comprehensive plan to raise the quality of life for the people of the Outer Rim, to bring economic opportunity, and to provide for the free exchange of goods and ideas.

Since you are a well-respected Senator with a reputation for impartiality, and since your government has spoken of taking an active role as a "big brother" to the Outer Rim, it seems appropriate to me (and to many other members of the Society) that you be the one to chair the conference. If you are interested, we would be honored to have you. When you can, do let me know if you are able to make it and I will pass the word along.

Regards.

Senator Cambrist,

I will indeed attend, and if you are still wishing so, chair this conference. I believe it is a step in the right direction, and I applaud you for making recent efforts to improve the Outer Rim. If you don't mind, I will bring with me a guest speaker who has spent her professional career working in the Outer Rim. Doctor Gaia Aurelius is a Deralian Doctor of Medicine, who received her doctorate from Coruscant University, and has worked with Doctors Without Frontiers, a charitable organization consisting of various medical professionals volunteering to render their services for free to the downtrodden of the Outer Rim, now serving as the organization's President. I feel she has qualifications and experience that is necessary for this discussion, and its absence would cause some of the most vital issues of Outer Rim improvement to go unnoticed.

Also, as an aside, while this entirely up to you as it is certainly a controversial issue, I would recommend sending an invitation to Mical de Crion. Politics aside, he has spent alot of time working in charitable organizations, with a focus on urban renewal and development as well as issues effecting impoverished Imperial citizens, to which his input could be useful, as long is the Conference were not to turn into a political based affair and remain its apparent humanitarian effort. Were this to turn political, rather than humanitarian, in its effort... I, myself, would have to walk away; as a forewarning to the Society.

Sincerely,

Viceroy Titus Veritas, House Veritas
Consul of the House of Lords

Former Senator of Deralia and the Tammuz Sector (50 BBY - 30 BBY, 18 BBY - 10 BBY)
Former Chairman of the Imperial Senate Defense Committee (18 BBY - 10 BBY)
