Recently I was allowed to speak on behalf of my Nephew-in-Law, such that I have done in hopes of this conflict coming to a conclusion as well as doing so voluntarily with out any hard feelings or ill will, yet it would seem that Senator Oswadlt did not understand that as much. I would like to bring up charges against the Senator.

The first being from this comment, a comment of Slander and of falsifying documents.

I had sent no such message to the Senator asking him to lay off my Nephew-in-Law, nor did I allow anyone from my office to do so. I can assure you that any such document he brings up and claims to have been sent by my office to him is a forgery and was not created by myself, nor by my office staff.

The second charge being from this comment, one in which is directly threatens a Moff's family

Such an open statement that he would volunteer to take violent action against my family is disturbing and worrying in the least.

While I do not defend Governor Oswaldt, I hasten to point out that his "threat" of violence seems, to me, to have been cloaked in such hypothetical circumstances as to be a patently meaningless threat. Neither of us, I am sure, share the Governor's apparent concern that your nephew would induce the Cronese Mandate to secede. The people of the Empire have repudiated secession, as we know. As for the letter, I don't know what the Governor is referring to, but if a document has been forged for the purpose of slandering your name I will, of course, take this seriously and direct Tomas Crowe, the Director of the Imperial Security Bureau, to investigate the authenticity of the document, if you wish.

On another topic, I appreciate the concern you have for your nephew and I hope you're able to act as a moderating influence on him, as you mentioned in the Senate. He, like a few Senators of late, is flirting with Crionism—a naive tendency to slander the Empire and call into question the motives of Imperial officials like you and I. It seems there is nothing I, specifically, can do to stop the censure of him that is taking place, but I hope you're able to disabuse Lord Zarcaine of his Crionist tendencies and, in the future, make me aware of any concerns you have so that I may see to it those concerns are represented in the Senate.

I will speak with my Nephew-in-Law on the comments he made, and knowing him he will listened to a well thought out and concerned lecture. I can assure you though that he has no separatist views, nor does he support what you call Crionism. He is an upstanding citizen as well as a well spoken voice for the needs of the people as you have without a doubt seen. I believe though that it is the other Senators that have the problem. While I understand that it will be difficult to bring up the Senators on the above mentioned charges, I would ask that an investigation is launched into their backgrounds and their activities. For all their chest thumping and boasting of supporting the Empire and openly accusing others of rebellion and sedition, do we not know if they are the one who have such views and are trying to ensure that the light is not cast upon them by spreading doubt and accusations towards others that are merely trying to help the Citizens of the Empire.
