| Senator North,
I refer you to a recent Coruscant Journal article. I've followed this seeming conflict of interest on the part of Moff Verilia for some time, and I wonder if, with the publicity this predicament is now receiving, it is a topic worthy of a hearing of the Oversight Committee? I'm sure Moff Verilia himself would welcome the opportunity to address these concerns, and it seems from the article that you should have no problem finding individuals to testify on the subject. Just a thought, but one I offer for your consideration, Senator.
Regards.

| Senator Cambrist,
I did not see the Coruscant Journal article, as I am boycotting their publication until they adopt a more proper name, however the story did make its way to my desk. It is indeed worthy, although I don't dare to presume that persons selected by the Emperor are conducting themselves unethically, Moff Verilia seems to possibly be the exception. I will get the ball rolling on a hearing, and being the Chair of the Commerce Committee, I would like to personally invite you to participate as well in the hearing, with this being not only a matter of concern for the Oversight Committee but a matter of concern, obviously, for the Commerce Committee as well. I will let you know about the hearing once we have the date and time set.

The Honorable R.C.W. North Senator of Imperial Center Chairman of the Internal Activities Committee Mayor of the Galactic/Imperial City (22 BBY-18 BBY)

| Senator North,
I'm pleased that you're investigating this issue, because I share the concerns of commercial interests on Brentaal and elsewhere that Moff Verilia's ownership of Eos Productions, et. al. could indeed be a conflict of interest. However, I must respectfully decline your generous offer to sit in on the hearing into this issue, as I happen to own a small amount of stock in one of Verilia's competitors and I do not want to give the appearance of a conflict of interest (a concern that Moff Verilia doesn't seem to share). I will, however, follow the hearing with keen interest.
Regards.
