Verilia has advanced his business ventures in no small way in the recent years and threatens the free market with the attempted inroads he has made into the mining sector.
I would like to invite your mining company into an alliance and strategic partnership in order for us to be able to secure the mining rights on Shola without intervention from the Moff's Eos Corp. Your involvement (as an equal ranking Moff) would be very useful and would allow us to counter any possible political action he might take in order to prevent our involvement at Shola.
RimCo, and specifically Anaxes remains serious about this enterprise and Anaxes alone will contribute at least two Capital-class vessels to secure the rights on Shola and to prevent Eos intervening to contest the rights, and as per the agreement will use their full armament to secure the rights.

I have had my doubts for some time as to the legitimacy of Moff Verilia's Eos Corporation. The rate at which he acquires additional contracts and companies is highly questionable, and I suspect connections to underworld groups. My own investigation of Eos Corporation had not yielded any results as of yet.
Dorvalla Universal is a small corporation, Senator. I do not fund it out of my pocket and indeed, the only coin from my pocket was to purchase the initial shares. All workers, hirelings and additional companies and facilities have been purchased with revenue from the corporation's profits. Indeed, you stating you can field two capital-class vessels only reminds me that the Dorvalla Space Corps is little more than a well-organized, if not exactly well-equipped, mercenary force.
Nonetheless, I am interested in this partnership. I could front half the cost from my own coffers and the other half from Dorvalla's expense account, providing we can be assured of relatively good odds of beating the competition.

I hope the Senate Ethics Committee will be able to investigate Moff Verilia in future and hope you will do all your can to lobby Senators to vote in favour of the present proposed investigation.
If you front half the cost, I will be happy to provide as many capital-class vessels as possible to the operation, and seek to secure the world, any back up in the form of small and fast vessels to fill the gaps formed would be inestimably useful.
Proposed contract
We would be willing to grant your corporation 20% of the mining rights involved (likely all your company would be able to exploit), 80% would go to RimCo.
We will establish the initial landings and begin to prospect, and establish your company a command HQ on the world, in addition to one for ourself.
Amity between RimCo (and its associated forces from the Anaxes Interest Protection Squadron) and your corporation - No attacks will be launched by ourself on yourself, you will be protected as if you were a subcontractor of our companies.
Free of charge protection for all Dorvalla Universal Corporation vessels (where available) from the Anaxes Interest Protection Squadron's New roving anti-piracy unit.
In exchange for
Half of the funds for the initial entry into the competition.
Us providing 2 small capital-class vessels for the protection of operations, including at least one Nebulon-B class vessel.
Logistical support for our vessels where possible.
Any small vessels you can deploy.
I feel this is generous and gives us both a deal we can work with, while considerably expanding your own mining potential under our protection.

Your proposal makes a good deal of sense; indeed, I would be quite the fool if I did not jump at it. Let me clarify one detail before we proceed. This deal is in effect at Shola and exclusively there, correct? Profits from Shola will be split eighty-twenty in your favor, but this deal will not extend outside of Shola, correct?

Does your company produce high grade durasteel? We are considering gaining more suppliers in order to be able to expand operations under the Anaxes Durasteel name.
Profits will be split 80-20 as you say, but this will require your company does 20% of the mining.
Amity will extend until such a time as you are notified of its termination, you will have our guarantees that we will at no point in the future act with force against any of your concerns at Shola. We will also attempt to conduct ourself as friends, meaning we will attempt to avoid treading on one anothers toes into the future, this will be based however on reciprocation and a continuing relationship between our companies and will not be a contractual arrangement.
Anti-piracy protection (if our anti piracy unit can protect you) will be given when possible and for free of charge indefinately.
You might consider becoming an Anaxes Citizen, it would then be more easy to justify deploying Anaxes vessels in your own interests in future.

Dorvalla Universal does not, at this time, work with durasteel. I am simply trying to discern the full limits of our agreement, Senator. This eighty-twenty split and the aid of Anaxes; it will be such at Shola, but Dorvalla Universal has little need of additional protection outside of that area. As you may known, most of our operations are at home in the Abrion Sector, minus a few outside portions.
As for becoming an Anaxes Citizen, I could see where dual citizenship could be beneficial, but my duty is to the Empire, then the Abrion Sector, and it would not do for the people of my sector to see my running about, claiming alternate citizenship.
We may work together at Shola, Senator, and even collaborate together in the future and, of course, if one or the other of us wants an out, we may say so, correct? If this is so, then I will collaborate with you on Shola.
