Greetings,
It has been some time since we last spoke. I hope you had found a fruit basket with a bottle of Telosian ale I had sent over after that meeting we had pleasing. However, this is not a pleasure call. The reason I contacted you was about Presidium Da'shune of Independent Hapan Nation. Due to the attempted assassination on both Senator Oriel and Presidium's lives and the battle that had raged above Parein II, there is no doubt the Empire had the Presidium in custody. Due to the circumstances that had happened, I have reasons to doubt that Mr. Da'shune would be so cooperative with military officers. I would like to volunteer myself to be the primary investigator. I believe he will be more willing to speak to someone that is not part of the Imperial starfleet. That a Senator would be a better person to talk to.
I have had experiences in this sort of thing. I will relay any useful information to you and His Majesty, and report on any progress. Please do let me know if I can do this honorable deed for the Empire.

Your offer is appreciated. However, with regard to Mr. Da'shune (the term "Presidium" has not been recognized as there is no diplomatic recognition of the "Independent Nation" that Mr. Da'shune claims to have governed on the Imperial planet he invaded and occupied), he will be completely forthcoming with Imperial authorities, whatever the altered state of consciousness or magnitude of pain is necessary to facilitate this. The Empire is in no mood to "ease" information out of Mr. Da'shune when he was complicit in the murder of an Imperial Moff and the attempted murder of an Imperial Senator. Information shall be furnished in a prompt and linear manner from Mr. Da'shune to Imperial authorities, of this there is no doubt. In fact, I suspect it is occurring as we speak in a classified location.
If we have need of the more gentle approach you suggest, however, we will keep you in mind, Senator. Thank you for your willingness to serve the Empire.
