| Grand Vizier,
As per the orders of the head of Imperial Intelligence and Lord Gemmell I have moved to the location of Inquisitor Deschain to provide (as instructed) a polite observation for Director Isard as well as the Ruling Council. Unfortunately, I Inquisitor Deschain does not recognise Director Isard as his superior or the jurisdiction of IntCon to maintain a watching brief on him (thus apparently considering himself and the Inquisitorius not part of Imperial Intelligence?)
I would appreciate clarification your Excellency and a clarification of my orders.

| Lieutenant Gemmell, perhaps I can clarify this for you so that we needn't trouble the Grand Vizier. The "Inquisitorius," as it has fashioned itself, is a branch of Imperial Intelligence that is very much a part of the command hierarchy under Director Isard. As Deputy Director and Auditor General I personally object to any implication to the contrary. I will make Inquisitor Deschain aware of his place in this organization if necessary. In the meantime, inform him that you are assigned to his retinue because of concerns that the Director (and Deputy Director) have about the conduct and indeed the feasibility of his current operation. You shall be shown due deference and be accommodated in terms of access to documents, personnel, transport, etc. Be wary and aware, Lieutenant.
