I have gathered for some time that you have had mobilized an anti-slavery taskforce.
To me, the act of keeping another held against their will is an abomination. No man should gain the proceeds of another's labour.
It is with this thought in mind that the Alsakan Aegis Fleet has seen fit to grant several vessels as a force to patrol the spacelanes in and out of Hutt space. An ideal location from which to do this (in the minds of our Analysts) is the little known world of Rinn. Populated by a species of sentient upright rodent, this world is still in the pre-fusion era and looks no sign of advancing from this (despite the influences of smugglers trading with them). A force from the Aegis Fleet has been dispatched to secure the system so that we might begin the construction of a defensive structure there.
Ostensibly these defences will be for the protection of the natives (to prevent further outside contact altering their natural development). However, I intend to base the anti-slaving taskforce here for the time being. From thence the task force will make sallies into the spacelanes of Hutt space in order to interdict ships and search them for slaves. Any slavers (without permits) will have their ships confiscated, their slaves freed and will face the full extent of the law.
I propose granting slaves rescued in this way asylum on Alsakan, where we can find them housing and gainful employment or education so that they might be able to fulfill their potentials.
To you, Senator, I would like to extend the use of the repair and refuelling facilities we will have at Rinn for your own slavery taskforce. I would also like to welcome any investment or commitment of forces to the redoubt at Rinn that you might have available for such a use.
