| Office of the Moff Allied Tion Sector Government Headquarters Lianna, Allied Tion Sector
To: The Honorable Sir Reuke Cambrist Senator of Brentaal, Chairman of the Imperial Senate Commerce Committee From: His Excellency, Shey Versio Moff of the Allied Tion Sector Subject: Cronese Embargo
Encryption: Beta Violet
Senator Cambrist, I consider myself a reasonable man, with reasonable expectations of the planets and member governments of the Empire. I am also an unhappy man. It appears, in response to this incident involving Cronese expatriates within my sector returning to their homes, the Cronese Mandate has deemed itself above free trade and have halted any movement through their space to Embaril. I wouldn't care what the Cronese do, if it weren't for the fact that Embaril sits upon the border with the Cronese Mandate, and a super-majority of its non-Perlemian Trade Route originating trade, is now blocked or several backlogged due to necessary re-routes. I will not stand for the deaths of nobodies and some dramatic chest-thumping disrupting my economy.
While I wish to respond otherwise, I am inquiring as to what your Committee can do to take care of this issue for me. Should you be able to provide a satisfactory solution, I would be endebted to you, Senator Cambrist. You are a good man, and as loyal as they come; above all else, you are a man of trade. Provide me with a solution to this problem, before I must resort to more... direct... measures.
With regards.
His Excellency, Shey Versio Moff of the Allied Tion Sector (9 AE - present) Governor of Procopia (0 AE - 9 AE) Temporary Governor of Volus (9 AE)
Baron of House Melantha

| Your Excellency,
I would like, first, to advise you of the prudence and generosity of your restraint in this matter. While it is only right to consider "direct" measures, I would argue that it is premature. Rest assured, the Commerce Committee is firm in the opinion that this Cronese embargo on your world is an undue impediment to free commerce in the Tion Cluster and will be informing Robeir, the ruler of the Cronese Mandate, of this opinion in the coming hour. It's my expectation that the possibility of a resolution of disapproval in the Senate will persuade Robeir to reconsider his embargo. If not, "direct" measures are also a useful deterrent, naturally.
I'm pleased to hear that we're of like mind on this issue and that we should be able to work together to remove what we agree is an unnecessary obstacle to the prosperity of sector and one of its constituent worlds. I'll keep in touch with your office on this issue.
Regards.
