Dear Senator Ray,
I'm contacting you to ask a personal favor. Myself and my world for that matter, have been outside of the recent conflict between your world and that of Deralia, but I'd like to ask that especially after the news broadcast in which your General Eel spoke of executing the Deralians caught on your world; that they be transferred to another world where they might be given a more fair trial.
I completely understand such a desire to see that kind of justice done, but I can only believe that the men Dantooine has in its custody were following orders they were given. I also understand that you may not have much say over the judicial matters of your world, but in the interests of due process and the rule of law, I had to ask.
I firmly believe that it takes a much bigger, and better people to do the right thing, than it does to simply get revenge, or even.

Rest assured that no such thing will happen to these men unless decided. However with that said, I cannot and will not allow these men to simply be transferred to another planet, for the very reason of the chances of them getting free doubling. I believe that keeping them here on Dantooine would be the very best choice. However, to decide their fate, I will call for the Senate to elect a Justice from a selection of 10 worlds to be sent to Dantooine to hear over the trial. And with you being one of those 10 planets, you have one week to select a Justice and I will ensure that transportation is given. Safety will also be assured.
