Dear Exar,
I was approached by the President of Koros Major University, an institution of higher learning located on Empress Teta that is highly respected in the academic arena. They are looking into the possibility of opening branches on several Outer Rim worlds that do not have a well established academic infrastructure. I suggested Dantooine to him, in light of recent events I thought it might be beneficial to provide a means for your citizens to improve themselves perhaps attract more high tech business to your world? A Dantooine branch of Koros Major could only be beneficial in the long run for your world's economy.
I've discussed the matter with the King (of Empress Teta) and my government is willing to assume a majority of the initial costs in establishing the university and in scholarships and other grants to encourage your citizens to apply to and attend the university. I'm also of the understanding that the general level of education on your world is rather below that of the university level, and a focal point of the program would be an entry level curriculum aimed at allowing the majority of your population to gain the education similar to that of young adults on Core Worlds.
What do you think? Also - has anything more happened in the case of the captured Deralians? I'd like to visit Dantooine sometime in the future if you're able to host me, as a Deep Core Senator, I am very interested in bridging the gap between our people and ways of life.
