Dear Senator Goodchild,
I'm going to be frank - you have little to no credibility in the Senate, largely as a result of the actions of Lord Kuryioshi and along with that Moff Verillia.
You saw how quickly Senator Terrawin called for Empress Teta to utilize more loyal shipyards than your own when commissioning a sector fleet, and sadly that should never be the case in the Empire, but events you did not control have made the circumstances under which you must now operate.
I'd like to meet sometime on Imperial Center with you, to discuss how you might best be able to improve your standing within the Senate. I would like to be your friend Mr. Goodchild.

Senator volFyr,
I could care less for the drama queen mentality, or the narcissistic views of those within the Senate. I am not here to worry about my image, I am here to do the job that was presented to me by the people of the Mandate. I am here to give them a voice and to ensure that they are heard, not to thump my chest and claim that worlds or their shipyards are not loyal. I am here to act for the Imperial citizens that look to me to give them a voice. I could careless for Senator Terrawin claiming that the Mandate is not loyal, or that we are aggressive. I'll call to the fact that Senator Terrawin has on multiple occasions blockaded multiple worlds and yet it would appear that using ones fleet to offer aid to a world, or to prevent further bloodshed on another makes one not loyal. I am not here to work on my image, or to kiss the ass of every other Senator in the Senate. I am here for the people of the Mandate, and it would seem that many of the Senators have forgotten that they are there for their people and not to be beauty queens in a popularity contest.

Senator Goodchild,
I am going to presume that you did not intend to infer that I am engaged in some sort of beauty pageant within the Senate. You'll note that I have personally traveled to galactic hot-spots to negotiate for peace and the common good, and that I am neither a hard-line liberal or hard line conservative.
I am also going to presume that you did not mean to insult my offer of friendship, I heartily agree with your viewpoint that you are within the senate as a servant of the Cronese Mandate, and that your primary obligation is to them. What I would like very much, Senator, is to help you be able to better represent that voice. Your predecessor made enemies for you, which puts you in the predicament of facing character attacks every-time you propose legislation or advocate new ideas.
I am trying to be your friend and help you help your people. I am going to be proposing new legislation shortly in the Senate related to the use of force between worlds, and I would like for you to be a co-sponsor of the bill. My office is currently drafting it, and if you are open minded Senator, I would like to forward it to you for your review before I submit it to the Senate.
There is little need for such a calloused response to my offer. I do hope we can be friends.

Use of Force by Imperial Worlds Act
In light of recent events such as the Dantooine-Deralia affair, it appears prudent to modify the existing laws related to the requirement to notify the Ruling Council of intended hostilities as well as to clarify the legality of hostile action between Imperial worlds.
Premise 1
It is unreasonable to sanction a world for actions taken that were not opposed by the Ruling Council, as Deralia's intended hostilities were not opposed by the Ruling Council.
Premise 2
Unless the law forbids all hostile action between Imperial Worlds, there must be circumstances under which hostile action is legal and sanctioned by Senate legislation.
Premise 3
It would be counterproductive to require a world to notify the world it intends to begin hostilities with of their intent.
Premise 4
The legality of clandestine forces must also be established, so as to establish some measure of protection for clandestine operatives taken as P.O.W's.
Article I
This legislation keeps in place the requirement to notify the Ruling Council prior to any intended hostile action taken by one Imperial world on another, while adding the requirement that within 48 standard hours of the onset of hostilities the attacking world must present to the Senate a report on the hostilities.
Article II
If the Ruling Council did not oppose the hostilities; there can be no Senate legislated sanctions of the offending world. This is not to say that individual worlds cannot begin operations in defense of the attacked world according to local treaties and the like per the Self and Mutual Defense provisions currently within Imperial Law, but bills such as the Deralian Chastisement Act would be invalid.
Article III
Worlds found to be harboring rebels/separatists/pirates/large criminal organizations are subject to punitive measures to include; loss of Senate representation, removal of the current government, martial law, surrender of all planetary fleet vessels and military forces, and criminal prosecution for government officials accused of collusion with aforementioned groups.
Article IV
Clandestine forces "special ops" are legal in so far as the use of force has been not opposed by the Ruling Council. If captured, they are afforded the same rights as traditional P.O.W's if their government claims them and presents proof that the Ruling Council condoned their use.

Dear Senator Goodchild,
I've been paying attention to the news recently and I am saddened to see Robeir's government again receiving negative publicity over trade regulations. As I've attempted before, I would like to assist you as best I can in mitigating the negative reputation being ascribed to your world and its leaders.
As you may know, Empress Teta is the primary producer of carbonite in the galaxy. In between efforts by ventures such as the Empress Teta Sector Fleet, the incorporation of Koros Spaceworks and expansion efforts by Koros Major University (I am currently on Dantooine negotiating with their government on behalf of my alma mater to establish a branch of the university there), my world is attempting to increase its influence and economic standing within the galaxy.
My world is interested in forming a mutually beneficial relationship with the Cronese Mandate, to better both our peoples financially, economically, militarily and culturally. I would like to meet with you in person to discuss potential agreements our people could perhaps come to to achieve these ends.
