Dear Senator Fowlkes,

There is a sense in the business community that the Loyalist Mining Company, your company, has not quite recovered from its repeated losses at Kuantar, and that perhaps a lack of investor confidence is preventing it from "closing the deal," as it were, for mining rights on Monor II. I would like to help. A conglomerate of prospectors from Brentaal has submitted claims to the Imperial Bureau of Resources for tracts of land on Praesitlyn containing concentrations of carbon and timber, and there is some confidence that these claims will be approved. While I don't speak on behalf of this conglomeration, its representatives did ask me if I knew a company that could help them extract these resources and the Loyalist Mining Company came to mind.

I know your company specializes in gas mining, but does it also mine hard minerals? If so, you may find a lucrative partner on Praesitlyn.

Regards.

Dear Senator Cambrist,

Thank you for your concerns. You are quite correct. We have been struggling to compensate for the losses from pirate attacks at Kuantar. It is the reason why I have been hesitated to meet with the Priest at Monor II about..."closing the deal," as you simply put it. So far, to help with the losses, I have opened two subsidaries but they are local business stationed in Kwymar Sector where my homeworld resides. They are only enough to keep the company running. I have considered relocation, but I have not found a suitable replacement.

Praesitlyn? Now, that is an interesting choice of a planet. Sure, we specialized in gas mining but my business associates and I have been considering broading our business for a while now. We could purchase mining equipment specifically for this kind of operations. This is an intriguing offer. However, before I agree to this, I would like to meet with you on Praesitlyn to see the planet for myself whether it would help turn things around for my company. When is the best time to meet, Senator Cambrist?

Regards,

Tremaine Fowlkes
Senator of Telos IV

Senator, I've not visited Praesitlyn myself and have no plans to do so, however I can arrange to have the relevant documents sent to my office if you'd like to meet there to review and discuss them. I'll be available after tomorrow afternoon's Senate deliberations if you'd like to meet then. I'd like to make it clear, however, that I'm only advocating on behalf of these prospectors as citizens of Brentaal; I'm not being paid to do so and can't close a deal with you myself, but I can certainly speak on the matter and pass along your questions and concerns to the relevant parties. See you tomorrow?
