Mr. Vega,

You are aware, of course, that I'm indirectly responsible for your current position as CEO of Imperial Surplus, Inc., as the company was created by a piece of legislation that I authored, The Peace and Parity Act. However, you're perhaps unaware that I'm more directly responsible too in that I spoke with Senator Veritas with regard to the appointment of a CEO and recommended you for the position. I see you as a pragmatic individual, and it's this quality that I intend to appeal to today.

I am calling for a boycott of the Sluis Van shipyard over its release of an updated Separatist design, the C-9979 lander (I'm sure you're familiar with it. I'm sure the weathered wreckage of C-9979 landers still adorns some of Brentaal's more remote landscapes). I'd like to solicit the support of Imperial Surplus, Inc. for this endeavor and, in particular, its advertising budget. Brentaal's government is prohibited from spending taxpayer credits on advertising for extrasolar political causes that are not of direct import to Brentaal. Nonetheless, I'd like to see an advertising campaign to raise awareness of this boycott and I wonder if your company might undertake it? I needn't remind you of your company's interest in this; this updated C-9979 design is not only a competitor to yours, but it is in fact a direct competitor to the ships you sell from the very same era. It's a symbolic slap in the face, Mr. Vega.

Moreover, should Imperial Surplus, Inc. launch an advertising campaign in support of this boycott, I don't doubt that you will find interests on Brentaal willing to invest in the company.

Regards.
