Lord Zarcaine,

I hope your leave has been restful for you, Senator. And I hope you can return to the Senate soon, because your successor troubles me. I admired your words in the Senate at one point, and you confided to me that the Cronese Mandate had a desire to secede from the Empire. We had an understanding that Ralltiir would be the first world to support this bid for independence. But the words of Senator Goodchild seem to represent a 180 degree shift in policy. He's a pro-Imperial ideologue and, no disrespect to him, but he's bad as Ordan and Oswaldt. Do his opinions represent Robeir's opinions? I find it hard to believe he could appoint both you and Goodchild, who are political opposites.

I hope you can return to the Senate soon or that you can persuade Robeir to stand firm and appoint a Senator who shares our ideology and won't simply be another mouthpiece for the Empire. The Senate has more than enough of those.

Sincerely,

Eli Fitzgerald
Senator of Ralltiir (10 BBY—Present)

"I was elected to do some flamethrowing in the Senate. To a light a fire under those Senators and make it hot for them."

Senator Fitzgerald,

My leave has been restful to a point, other than Senator Oriel making an unannounced stop at Chandaar and attempting to seduce and steal away my wife, whom it would seem has begun to dabble in politics, as well as other internal whispers and slanderous lies that have been spread by channels like the Outer Rim Herald and Cronese Broadcast Company, all in all it has been a good reprieve. Though I believe that I must take some more time to collect my thoughts, and spend it with the family, as my wife's parents are not doing so well, and I suspect that she will need the emotional support in the coming days as they come closer to passing on and joining the, well I suppose that belief is now taboo under the Empire.

As for Senator Goodchild, I have known him for a good time now, as we both served as Advisers to Lord Robeir. He is a good man, and shares many of the same believes as I do, though he may not be as out spoken about them. I'm sure if you speak with him, you will see that he is strong minded in believing that the Mandate should be free of the Empire, though at this time he knows that such actions must be taken one pace at a time instead of a large leap as I had been voicing.

I hope that this response finds you well, as I hope that the "Force" will be with you.

Signed,

Lord Zarcaine Kuriyoshi
Lord of Chandaar
