I have been much concerned about you in recent weeks since your abrupt departure from the Senate, though I most certainly sympathize as to why you left. I apologize for not writing sooner, but I was attending a small soiree on Lorrd and lost track of time with work.
I hope that you are well, aside from everything that has happened recently. I wish that there was more that I could have done, but unfortunately I just do not have the pull or ability to out convince the "O's" when they have an "opinion" that is forced on all.
That being said, I would very much like to come to see you on Derailia. I have something personal that I would like to ask you, and I feel that a holo is just not a good way to convey what it is that I need. Please say that it is alright. Either way, I am going to arrive in a few days with my husband (whom I very much want you to meet), and will just have to stalk you until you agree to see me!

It broke my heart to leave the Senate as I did, and even more so to be unable to fulfill the demand of my people in representing them, but the Senate spoke, and my honor forbade me from remaining in the Senate chambers. Perhaps one day, I may return, but at my age, I doubt it. I am humbled, however, at the fact that despite it all, and the issue my world currently faces, and your stance with those opposed against us, that you would remain thinking of me. It is distressing to see how Deralia has been treated lately in the Senate, and I fear poor Augusta is not performing well under the stress of having to fend off nearly the entire Senate at the very beginning of her service. While you may not believe you have the pull, my dead, you would be surprised what a single voice can do. A statesman from the Republic's founding days said once, "Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." This quote is what I always kept in mind when I did not have the voice of my people to guide me... I feel that sentiment has been lost upon the Senate of late.
Ah, but you do not write to read the ramblings of an old, disgraced politician. I am a very... unoccupied man, and my home will always be open to you, Ilanah. Feel free to drop by at anytime, for you are always welcome. I look forward to seeing, and meeting your husband. Stalking will not be necessary, my dear. My curiosity, I admit, is peaked by this personal proposal you have of me.
