| Senators,
I have been following recent events in the political world more than I'd like lately; largely in part due to my traveling to lobby for further supporters of GalacticAid. I hesitate to speak my mind on this issue, largely because it is outside my sphere of influence. Nonetheless, and I apologize for placing Senator Domon in the limelight, the situation regarding the Sluis Sector's Khedive and the Sluissi as a whole is becoming largely out of hand, it seems to me.
Having been the sole ruling member of House Malos before I stepped down, I am familiar in many ways of the campaigns of slander that I suffered, and it strikes me that Senator Cambrist, just man though he may be at times, is conducting an unfair campaign against Khedive Thisst and, by extension, making it harder for GalacticAid to be established within the Sluis Sector. If anything, a sector that held Separatist tendencies, I believe, would be far less willing to accept a human-run organization for aid and succor; I would be more wary of any beings who didn't embrace GalacticAid as a way to all help our less fortunate neighbors; but that is neither here nor there.
As I said, I am hesitant to ask this of you, but I would urge you to follow the wise path and help Senator Domon push through this; all the lies and falsehoods that have been printed out about the Sluissi, their Khedive and even the human-Sluissi relations in the sector could very well damage a productive place, and I would hate to see that happen.

| Dear Lord Stark,
Are you asking me to vote in favor of the Khedive being established as the sector authority of the Sluis sector?
I have no quarrel with Senator Domon, or his people for that matter and Empress Teta is a largely cosmopolitan world - but I do not clearly understand how this impedes the activity of GalacticAid within the Sluis sector.
From what I have gathered, the Sluis leadership insists there is no bias against humans, so why would they hesitate to accept aid from GalacticAid?

I find myself in agreement with Ava. I am not sure how or why anyone would not accept the assistance of Galactic Aide if needed, even the Sluissi. Senator Domon is a reasonable fellow, this I am sure of.
Either way, he does have the support of Chandrila in his plight.

I cannot ask you to vote for Khedive Thisst's authority of the sector. I fear though, that without a clear ruler and, mind you, from an outside perspective, the Sluis Sector is a hotspot for a lot of problems, and I can hardly expect GalacticAid, an unarmed peace organization, to build and maintain a compound for aid and valid supply lines at possibly great personal risk to themselves. Mind you, I envision the worst possible scenario, but I hope that the issues between Brentaal and Sluis Van, whatever they may be, can be resolved among themselves. Regardless of how that works out, clear leadership is part of what GalacticAid relies on in its host worlds and sectors. For the time being, I shall place the construction of a GalacticAid compound in the Sluis Sector on hold until the issues are resolved.

The GalacticAid foundation within the Senate - passed unanimously, sir, provides for exactly this situation. It is intended as a humanitarian organization - so for starters - you should plan on it going into potentially dangerous areas, as any war zone or disaster zone might be (which the Sluis sector is certainly not currently), and why would GalacticAid be in any danger from anyone but pirates? - And with both the Sluissi forces and Brentaal in the region, the pirate problem shouldn't be significant.

It seems things have gotten out of hand. Read the Sluis Sector News's holopage. I am tentatively going to proceed with GalacticAid's work in the Sluis Sector, but I am dispatching my own guards, if Senator Domon should agree, to provide oversight and assistance to them. Private security, one might call it. Either way, it seems as if there was not enough security when this occurred.

No man may ever challenge your love of the Empire, or its people. If he does so, he is wrong and a fool. You, Senator, are a patriot for what you have done for Acherin and for your unfailing, unwavering loyalty to the Empire that many have fought and died for. Nonetheless, we cannot be too quick to cast blame on the Sluissi, Senator Domon or even the Khedive of the Sluis Sector. Even from reading the news and reports, there is something obviously wrong with the attack at Praesitlyn. I do not believe any security teams would be necessary for GalacticAid to erect a facility on Sluis Van itself; this is strictly in regards to the Praesitlyn facility.
That being said, I appreciate your offer, Senator Tu'Rot, but I do not wish to add too much fuel to the fire. Brentaal and all the planets who have lost people in this tragedy will be clamoring for blood, revenge, better security and wanting to place their own security teams there. For the sake of the people of Praesitlyn, human and Sluissi alike, it would be best if we minimized the amount of armed guards wandering around. I would not see innocent or frightened people shot by mistake with so many nervous sentients on the world right now.

You are correct, and terrorists are the worst of the lot, following traitors. The problem though is that is not the Sluissi or residents of Praesitlyn who are terrorists in this matter; they are victims the same as the miners from off-world. Nobody has asked for an additional security team from any world thus far. If it eases your mind though, I will accept Acherin security forces to accompany my own guards when construction begins on the GalacticAid facility on Praesitlyn. Is this acceptable?
