Lord Robeir,

In observing recent events it has occurred to Brentaal that the Cronese Mandate would benefit from improved diplomatic and commercial relationships with worlds that are influential in trade and politics and other areas of concern to the Cronese people. Brentaal has no intent at the present time to participate in Senator Ordan's blockade of Chandaar, and I assume that the Mandate would prefer this to remain the case. To this end I mean to propose to you a trade agreement between Brentaal and the Cronese Mandate based on the following terms.

■ Elimination of all import and export licenses pertaining to one other's goods.

■ No tariff, duty, or fee shall be placed on the free exchange of raw minerals and ores.

■ A reduction of Brentaal's tariff on luxury goods from the Cronese Mandate from 15% to 7.5%, and a reduction of its tariff on Cronese durable goods from 10% to 5.5%.

■ A voluntary export restriction limiting Cronese goods exported to Brentaal to no more than 20% of Brentaal's domestic production of equivalent goods.

■ Elimination of any and all Cronese tariffs on cosmetics, cleaning products, flimplast and flimplast products, personal products, rubber, plastics, textiles, clothing and footwear, coffee, and toys from Brentaal.

We feel these terms are reasonable, and represent a fair "give-and-take" in the mutual interests of our people. It's Brentaal's hope that in advancing this proposal, the cause of peaceful relations between Brentaal and the Cronese Mandate will be advanced as well and, moreover, that the Cronese Mandate can be persuaded to reject its isolationist policies and embrace free and fair trade with the rest of the galaxy.

Cordially,

Senator Cambrist,

While your proposal for a trade agreement is sound and fair, it could not have come at a worst time. With the coming hypocritical blockade of Chandaar by morally corrupt Senators that would rather see a people suffer and punish a world for offering aid, it will be very difficult to keep any kind of trade agreement such as this protected and in effect as it would require the running of the blockade, and risk of life. Though it would already seem that Senator Ordan would rather risk lives in a blatant attempt at jousting as his previous communications with us have shown, with his blatant attempt at trying to get the Cronese Mandate to duel with his vessel, which as we understand will be holding diplomatic guest, clearly an attempt by Senator Ordan to show the Mandate in a negative light should anything happen to those diplomats due to his own incompetence in inviting them into a dangerous situation and putting their lives at risk.

However, we would gladly accept this trade proposal, though we request that we be given time to go over the terms so that we may come to an agreement that both sides can deem acceptable before being put into motion.

Signed,
