| Reuke,
Do I detect hesitation from mighty Brentaal? Well, no bother if you don't wish to come along on the jape to Chandaar, all the more glory for Anaxes - although you are most welcome to join in the festivities if you wish. I was wondering, however, if I might be able to secure a couple of things as a favour, one gentleman to another.
- That a small squadron of Brentaal vessels would grace the Axum System, Deralia System and Acherin System with a polite visit, merely as a formality but naturally to aid local defences should such aid be required in the event of an attack - while the fleets of these worlds are largely occupied on law enforcement duties. - That Brentaal places observers aboard the bridge of our Flagship, you're welcome to attend personally too if you wish.
In exchange, I would be more than willing to help Brentaal with a small donation of say 5% of any profit generated from the Blockade.
Yours Sincerely,
Senator Hubert Ordan __________________________

| Senator,
First Admiral Lancaster of Brentaal's Combined Defense and Merchant Fleets is in hyperspace at the present time with a squadron of ships bound for the Auril Sector to participate in war games with your forces and those of Deralia. We were not made aware of a change of plans, nor indeed that the blockade of Chandaar had been accelerated to before the war games (or, perhaps, that the war games have been canceled altogether?) despite the advantages of coordinating our forces and establishing command and communications protocols before a real action at Chandaar.
You do detect a reluctance on the part of Brentaal, Hubert. Be assured, however, it is owing more to our disinterest in the Cronese situation than to any lack of fortitude. There is little appetite on Brentaal for any of its people to be casualties of what is essentially a Cronese-Tionese ethnic dispute (vexing though the Cronese Mandate's intransigence undeniably is).
Naturally, however, Brentaal will support its valued allies and trading partners and act in accordance with the will of the Senate. While it is unlikely at this time that any of Brentaal's vessels will directly participate in the Chandaar blockade, we are amenable to the supporting role you've described. Indeed, with Brentaal's fleet apparently not occupied with war games in the Auril Sector, we're quite able to "look in" on Anaxes, Deralia, and Acherin. And a delegation from Brentaal's embassy on Chandaar will be honored to board your flagship, observe with interest the progress of the blockade, and of course to partake in the festivities for which Anaxes is renowned.
If circumstances merit, Brentaal may consider more direct involvement at Chandaar at a later time. She will, as ever, be steadfast in support of her allies.
Reliably,
