| Senator,
The Empire has received a tip from Trama'dol Station, near Dantooine, that a rebel "drop" is in progress there. We have no information on who sent this and its authenticity can't be verified. It's our understanding that your militia has also received this tip. The Empire has insufficient resources in the area to investigate itself—are you able to do so? The Tartan cruiser Mighty Boushh can escort Dantooine's ships if need be.
If this is the "Mynocks," as the tip claims, it is in Dantooine's interest to be rid of them. Remember that this group fomented rebellion on your neighbor, Alurion, and it can foment rebellion on your world too, Senator.

| If I may, I'd urge Dantooine to proceed with caution. This tip was sent to "Imperial forces," and Imperial forces have been ambushed in the Riaoballo Sector before. Then, as now, the presence of our ships in the sector was public knowledge because of Senate debates and media coverage. While I wouldn't be so hasty as to declare that "it's a trap," I'd simply advise caution; have your ships conduct long-range scans, Senator Ray, to see if there are ships lurking on the edges of the system. And, if possible, send someone ahead to Trama'dol Station to find out what's happening there first. I'd like to do this myself, but the Riaoballo Sector hasn't been a priority of Imperial Intelligence and our nearest agent is on Sinsang, too far to be of use to us here.

| Unfortunately,
I am taking a stance of planetary protection rather then forming a hunting party. Dantooine has limited capital ship capability itself, and if it is indeed a trap as Director Olsen has cautioned, then I will not leave Dantooine defenseless. I would like to take this time to inform the both of you that torpedoes were fired upon the planet, however when entering orbit, they begun to split apart and started spitting propaganda pamphlets on the ground. It will take the Militia a long time to collect them and burn them.
However, while the Khoonda Administration would like to indeed take a stand in piracy acts, we first must look to our own people for protection from anymore threatening action.

| We know. Has the possibility occurred to you, Senator, that rebels moving weapons into your sector could be a prelude to rebellion on your world? Your "stance of planetary protection" will be blown all to hell when that happens, won't it? By the way, you're welcome for driving the Monorians away.

| There's no need to berate the man, Deputy Director. He has his priorities. If we can't count on Dantooine as a partner in the maintenance of peace and order in the Riaoballo Sector, we'll simply need to find more willing partners among its neighbors. See to it, Deputy Director. And good day, Senator Ray.
Regards.
