| Grand Vizier Pestage,
It has been a short time since the droid issues on Imperial Center. Word has only recently reached me that one Lorrdian citizen, a certain Alyn Stark, may have been unjustly imprisoned by Imperial forces who acted too hastily. I would request his release, if even on a probationary period, under the grounds of misleading information. From the information I have heard, Mr. Stark attempted to rescue Lorrd's Senator, a Roman Lekpin by name. Beyond that point, the eyewitness who spoke to me was unable to confirm or deny his treatment, save that Imperial forces apprehended Stark and some of his people.
I appreciate your assistance in this matter, Grand Vizier.
Signed,
Kanzad Shirnoq Moff, Kanz Sector

| Moff Shirnoq,
His imprisonment was not unjust. Mr. Stark was engaged in vigilantism and defied instructions from the Imperial pilots who proceeded to shoot him down (Imperial pilots who were, in fact, fired upon by Mr. Stark's droid starfighters in the middle of a droid uprising—there is nothing "hasty" or inappropriate about how the Imperial pilots reacted to this). It's possible that having his Moff's advocacy so readily at his disposal has led Mr. Stark to feel entitled and somehow exempted from Imperial laws, but this is not the case outside of the Kanz Sector and I would expect that it isn't the case there either.
However, we'd prefer to avoid a controversy and since Mr. Stark's motives were understandable, I have already ordered his release.
Sincerely,
Sate Pestage Grand Vizier of the Empire Assistant to Emperor Palpatine Chair of the Imperial Senate

| Grand Vizier Pestage,
While the Empire does not advocate vigilantism on any level, patriotism and love of the Empire are still worthy motives; albeit in Mr. Stark's case, delivered in a manner that could be interpreted as troublesome at the time it occurred. Fortunately, as I was informed, none of the pilots were harmed. I would have it known that Mr. Stark will remain unaware of my advocacy on his part; it is not good for a man to believe he is immune from justice, but I speak for him as a productive member of the Kanz Sector and as a well-known figure.
Nonetheless, I am sure he will take his brief time in custody to heart, and I am pleased to hear of his release.
Sincerely,
Kanzad Shirnoq Moff, Kanz Sector
