| Senator,
I have been assigned by the Procurator of Justice the task of ruling on the safety of the conviction of your citizens if your world wishes to push forward with this Judicial review, I would appreciate your assent; or if you wish to leave the conviction to stand then to inform me and I will see that it does.
It is intended this to be a discrete inquiry that will settle the matter in order that you and the Vjunites are better able to come to an arbitrated outcome and reduce the tension within the Outer Rim. If you push forward this review it is to be considered the final court of appeal on the matter, you will be entitled to full representation of your choice and the case will be heard by myself as Investigating Magistrate in closed session.
The case will be Sluis Van vs Vjun, and it will be contingent upon Sluis Van to prove that the conviction was an unsound one. I will issue a supoena for all the evidence in question (the Confessions in question, alleged weapon etc) which will be examined by a suitably qualified individual to verify their veracity, with copies of the reports forwarded to both parties.
I would appreciate a list of Witnesses you wish to call if you wish to move forward so they may be summoned to be able to testify promptly. Bear in mind, as this is a Vjun jurisdictional matter, this case will hinge on whether the prosecution is defensible by the standards of Vjun and not those of Sluis Van - however, we will not hesitate to suggest Improvements to Vjun to bring it's courts in line with a more Imperial Standard if they were found to be grossly out of step with the rest of the Galaxy.

From everything I seem to be hearing from Vjun, it appears to be a clear-cut case to them. However, there are a multitude of questionable elements I would like cleared up in order to better have Sluis Van's name not blacklisted in the galaxy. At this time, I do wish to proceed with the judicial review.
