| Admiral Hines,
While awaiting further orders as my vessel has finished refueling at Ord Biniir and my crew are currently running drills to keep sharp, I have been keeping myself informed of the current events in the Galaxy. The one that has most caught my eye has been the current "outrage" that Vjun has seemed to levy against the Sluis Van. It is difficult to tell if these reports of sabotage are genuine as already brought up by the concerns of the Sluis Van, though I find it more worrying that the people of Vjun quickly jumped to a planetary trial rather so quickly afterwards. I am merely suggesting that perhaps the Empire should place an Imperial Overseer at the Sluis Van shipyards as a precaution should these sabotage claims be true. I would also suggest that the Empire show a bit of compassion with Human High Culture. The fact that this was thrown to trial so quickly rather than brought to the Imperial Courts to show that the Empire can and will be fair with its Alien populace, if nothing more than to gain their trust in the Empire as a preemptive action against any Alien populace that may seek to attempt any rebellion against the Empire in the future.
Signed,
Line Captain Anderson Imperial Navy Captain of the Endeavor

| Captain,
Your political opinions are noted, but in the future I would advise you to keep them to yourself. It is fortunate that I am, perhaps, one of the more "moderate" Admirals attached to High Command—I guarantee you most others would not be as tolerant of your views of this Sluis Van situation as I am. But the fact remains, there should be no political discussions while on duty, and not on military channels.
Good work keeping your men sharp—peace has meant quite a lot of down time, and we mustn't be idle or sloppy between assignments. But you'll be pleased to know your wait at Ord Biniir is at an end, Captain. Proceed with the Impavid to the Savareen Sector, the location of the annual Orvax IV slave fair, due to take place in the coming weeks. We've received intelligence that a number of former Separatists may be selling slaves through proxies at the fair in order to raise funds for a renewed campaign against the Empire; it's possible they will commit ships to Orvax IV and the surrounding systems to protect their product—out-dated Clone Wars model ships, most likely; Munificent-class and Recusant-class, I expect. (If they show up at all.)
The Empire doesn't want to damage its working relationship with the Trandoshans by interfering with the slave fair, thus you and Captain Nelia must maintain a distance from the planet unless instructed otherwise. Position yourselves in an adjacent system and maintain active, long-range scanning. Deploy scout ships if necessary to detect any Separatist ships in the Sector. You are to engage any confirmed Separatist vessels that stray from Orvax IV or leave the planet once the slave fair has ended, if you can do so safely, of course. Establish communication with the Imperial Intelligence bureau on Christophsis—they'll assist you in identifying any Separatist vessels you encounter. If you should confiscate any slaves, secure them in your brig for later retrieval.
It's possible that circumstances at Orvax IV can change, requiring your involvement at the planet itself. If so, you'll be provided with more information and new instructions as the circumstances merit.
Good luck to you and to Captain Nelia. Be well.
Postscript—remember to make use of Private Halan's familiarity with the capabilities of Separatist vessels, should the need arise.
