Grand Vizier,

Your traitor and leader of the rebellious group knows as the Libs is Tremaine Fowlkes, Senator of Telos IV. I suggest we move as quickly as possible to cut his assets and place Telos IV under immediate Imperial occupation. If you have no further immediate orders for me, I will proceed with this course of action.

Regards,

Rath Deschain

Inquisitor Deschain,

Tremaine Fowlkes? Are you certain? The man is a non-entity in the Senate and even on Telos IV, rumor has it. Though I suppose his inactivity as a Senator begs the question of what he has been doing. Any assets he has in Imperial banks are now frozen, and his diplomatic clearance revoked. I've seen to it the Sector Rangers have issued an APB on the Senator for "questioning"―you'll be notified when he's detained. At this point, however, we're refraining from public accusations against Fowlkes; I suspect it may prove embarrassing for us if Fowlkes is proven to be a traitor. Discretion is the order of the day, Inquisitor, and it's what you're best at.

As for occupation of Telos IV, it won't be necessary. The planet's government was dismissed some months ago when it handed its presidency to a common criminal in a beaten-up Corellian freighter. The inactivity of Senator Fowlkes is what spared him from dismissal, but he's been marginalized on Telos IV ever since an Imperial Governor was appointed―I don't recall the Governor's name, but it's not important.

What is important is that we move quickly to destroy what's left of this "Libs" organization, before Fowlkes―if indeed he's our man―marshals the forces he has left for an attack. Imperial Intelligence is going to take a more active interest in this case, Inquisitor; your path may cross with Intelligence agents who will be following the same leads as you; when this happens, do be as cooperative as possible. Thanks to you, the Inquisitors are far ahead of the other Intelligence branches on this case, and we must take care not to have a repeat of the Amorris incident.

Well done, Inquisitor. I have no doubt your interrogation of the captured rebel was thorough indeed. Did she name anyone else?

Sincerely,

Sate Pestage
Grand Vizier of the Empire
Assistant to Emperor Palpatine
Chair of the Imperial Senate

Grand Vizier,

Discretion is what you require and, as ever, I live to serve the Emperor and the Empire. Indeed, Tremaine Fowlkes was the name brought forth under truth serum and some unpleasant means of base torture. I have remanded the personage of Mika Jeebs to Imperial custody within the Imperial Palace for further questioning. Unfortunately, she named no further names but the persons of Damian Baird and the Jedi 'Havoc' were also captured during the raid. To ensure prisoner separation, I ordered both Baird and Havoc transported aboard an unassuming CR90 that should arrive within a matter of days to Imperial Center.

As you say, the Libs must be quickly and efficiently curtailed. It is my intent to gather my subordinate, Inquisitor Thanatos, from his home on Chandrila. He was working an alternate angle and I will confer with him to cross-reference any material he may have located. As always, I will do my best to bring the criminals to justice.

Glory to the Emperor.
