| Venerable Senator Ryuun,
I write to you to express my concern about the draconian act you've just prepared to the Senate regarding flags. On Monor II it is a commandment of the MAKER that no flag or icon may appear above the standard of the MAKER.
Allow me to quore Benedictions 5:12-13 "12. Thus the standard of the MAKER and his chosen, the Priest-Prince shall remain forever at the altar, entrance and fascade of every institution of the Church and shall never be surpassed in height, breadth or width by another. 13. All those on Monor II who fail in this duty to he MAKER shall be visited with great perdition, verily, for nineteen generations."
In this context, the Church (being a theocratic state) extends to all buildings with Judicial Legislative or Administrative roles.
Thus I request and require you to either withdraw this clause, or allow an exemption for religious groups or those who have an ancient customary tradition governing the use of the flags and symbols.

| Priest-Prince Agapos the Ninth,
While I understand that this ruling is troublesome, I will see what can be done to make some alterations within the wording. For the time being though, I would like to see the reaction of the rest of the Senate to the bill as it stands. Trust that, as always, I have the best intentions in regards to these matters.

I recognize and understand fully where you are coming from, especially the reading from the Second Book of Agapos. However, you must be aware of the Empire's policy that nothing takes precedence over the Empire. The Empire sits above all planetary and religious forms. Having an Imperial flag fly higher than your own should be an honor; it is not an attempt to arouse problems between Monor II and Druckenwell.Added (17 Sep 2012, 5:15 AM)

| Druckenwell is immediately to withdraw all personnel (including visiting Civilians) and military assets from the Monorian System, the Monorian Accords are to be considered suspended.
Synthetic Cirrifog will no longer be produced, as the Church of the Maker is the patent holder it issues a revocation of permission to produce it.

The Druckenwell-owned station at the borders of the Monorian System will remain where it is. We have no assets directly in Monorian space and as such, is not subject to removal.
Synthetic Cirrifog Lot Type 37-002-861-B will no longer be produced by Druckenwell as the Church of the Maker does indeed hold the patent rights.
I might point out though that if the Monorian Accords are suspended Monor II will be refunded the money for the cirrifog patents and the rights to Lot Type 37-002-861-B will be returned to Druckenwell.

I would also like the Priest-Prince to be aware of several facts. Monor II has very, very few friends in the Empire. Were I to judge is correctly, Druckenwell may very well be the best friend Monor II has at the moment. My patience with the Priest-Prince's antics is not unlimited, and even now, the Empire stands poised to destroy your Maker who stands in the way of progress. You must recall, Priest-Prince, that the Empire can come in here and simply take the cirrifog if they want.
If you are willing to see reason, then the Monor Accords will be reinstated with the following modifications:
1) "Monor II will purchase the patents for the synthetic production of Cirrifog in exchange for exploitation rights to 5% of the Monor Cirrifog reserve (pending normal rules). "
This will be altered to:
"Monor II will sell back the patents for the production of synthetic cirrifog lot type 37-002-861-B at the same cost it purchased the rights from Druckenwell. Druckenwell will also be granted exploitation rights to 10% of the Monor cirrifog reserve."
2) "The Druckenwell station close to Monor II space shall be brought into orbit of Monor II and be made a joint-venture of Monor II and Druckenwell, with the crew being 50% from each world and private companies being encouraged to operate on the station to help bring Monor II's economy into the modern galaxy."
This will be altered to:
"The Druckenwell-owned station will be granted placement right as Druckenwell sees fit in regards to distance from Monor II. The crew will be composed of 90% Druckenwell personnel and 10% from Monor II. Private companies will be invited at Druckenwell's discretion."
3) "Druckenwell will be allowed to maintain an active military presence at the station near Monor II."
If you are willing to see reason, Priest-Prince, then I will have your answer in twenty-four standard hours. If not, I will inform the Empire of your lack of cooperation and you will be dealt with accordingly.

The non-Druckenwellian exploiters of Cirrifog will be allowed to continue their permitted quota of exploitation.
