Grand Vizier,
With Lord Robeir currently a figurehead of the Cronese Mandate, the running of the day to day operations of the Cronese Mandate has fallen to me as I was named First Minister. As such, one of the first acts was to ensure that the Ash Worlds, currently a low value Sector of the Galaxy, is to be utilized properly to see revenue from the area begin to flow to the Empire. As such, the Cronese Mandate is currently preparing colonist to lay claim to the worlds of
Reports of the Sector indicate that its population is limited, while those few worlds with any population at all were subjected to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the war. The Cronese Mandate also believes that it holds a historical connection to these planets as they once were part of the ancient Kingdom of Cron, which the Cronese Mandate was fashioned after, with many of the worlds the Mandate currently presides over as having been members of the ancient kingdom. We believe that the recolonization of these worlds is essential to turn the poor Sector into a thriving one. Should these first rounds of colonies and colonists take to their worlds, more are willing to be sent in the next round to build new homes and work the worlds to produce thriving and loyal Imperial worlds out of these barren and untapped worlds.

Since your message was sent, it's my understanding that the Cronese Mandate has changed its plans with respect to the Ash Worlds. In the event you're still interested in my counsel, however, I would advise you that any Cronese claim to these worlds on historical grounds is specious at best. The Cronese Mandate is not the Kingdom of Cron. Indeed, the Cronese Mandate was constituted to guide the Cronese people to a peaceful, prosperous, and pro-Imperial future, not to be preoccupied with the distant Cronese past.
Nonetheless, Imperial Center would not be opposed to Cronese colonies on the worlds in question. The Cronese Mandate has as much an interest in the Ash Worlds as anyone else in the region, if not more so. However, the Senate having recently passed the Ash Worlds Governance Act, it would appear your claim (if, in fact, you still assert it) has been confounded.
