Crin stood in the cockpit of the CR90 staring out at the tunnel of hyperspace they were currently traveling through. The ship would make good time because of the fact Volus was just off one of the main trade routes of the galaxy and would be arriving on Coruscant shortly. She would keep her arms folded behind her back, her hands resting together.

"General Star, we should be arriving on Imperial Center shortly." One of the pilots said glancing back over his shoulder at her for a response. She would just nod in return to acknowledge the statement. Behind here there was the typical activity on board the ship her aides going back and forth trying to get all of her predecessor's motions filed up and the bills before the senate in order to offer her a report when they arrived in her office. It was a busy day as the funeral service for the long time senator had been that day and the crowds had come out to pay their respects to the man who had served as their voice to the galaxy for 4 decades and had served them for almost his entire life.

Crin had known she would be selected for the job when the Senator retired though she had secretly been dreading it. She was a soldier and always had been. She'd served most of her life in the Volusian military leading a large group of militia in their fight against the Separatists years before. A war during which she had become highly decorated by both Volus and the Republic as she had gone off world to continue the fight shortly after they had beaten the separatist forces on Volus, but that had been a long time ago. Since then she had been moved up in the ranks gradually until she reached Brigadier general at which time the King informed her that he would be asking her to serve in a different capacity in the future. The galaxy was enjoying a relative peace after the war and he wanted her to serve as their Senator when the now late one had retired which had been coming.

Despite her initial hesitation at the offer she had finally given in agreeing because it was the best way that she could continue to serve the people of Volus in the years to come. She would turn away and begin to walk back down the hallway feeling the ship come out of hyperspace moments later and smiled a bit to herself. 'Perfect timing' she thought to herself as she continued on towards the back of the ship and the main ramp. She would be the first one off of course as was the custom.

She herself had eschewed from guards on this trip as she was more than capable of defending herself as she had shown during the clone wars. The ship itself had left right from the funeral so she was still in the official dress uniform of the Volusian military with the bar and single star still on her shoulder. On her chest she wore just a select few of the medals she had been awarded over her years of service as was the custom to wear at official events.

Up in the cockpit her pilots would transmit all the required information even where they were planning to land. They had done this dozens of times before with the previous Senator and as such knew the drill. The ship would continue on down finally coming to a landing in one of the larger hanger bays in the Executive building the one the ship had been permitted to land it. It would take several long minutes for the ship to finally get settled and for her entourage to meet her at the ramp before it opened and they were allowed to proceed down.

It was a lovely afternoon on Coruscant. Ja’nar had made her way up to some of the senatorial landing pads in her tea length dark blue cotton dress, a white satin sash was tied around the waist of it and finished it off with a lovely bow in the back. Ja’nar was waiting on an old friend. Sure they were not best friends. Ja’nar could not confide in her like she could with others but this woman would be a helpful and powerful ally within the senate and Ja’nar could use some more friends at the moment. She was surprised to see no one else was there to greet the soon to be new senator from Volus, perhaps it was because they were all in their offices thinking of more ridiculous things to bring up in the senate. Ja’nar however was free since she did none of that.
As the ship landed a few yards in front of her a little smile would touch her lips as she waited for the ramp to lower. She would of course continue to smile as she saw the familiar female form appear at the top of the ramp. She would wait for them to proceed down the ramp before greeting them.

Crin was not expecting a waiting party nor did she really desire one either, it just wasn't who she was, and since the representative was with her, she knew that there likely wouldn't be anyone waiting. Though as she reached the bottom of the ramp a soft smile would touch her lips a bit at the sight of Ja'nar waiting for her. It had been a long while since she had seen the other woman, not for many years. They had been friends for a while though truth be told they weren't overly close. Crin would begin to approach calmly motioning for the aides to go on ahead towards her office so she would be alone with Ja'nar for at least a moment to have a friendly word. Ja'nar would realize that Crin must have come straight from the funeral for the late senator and hadn't bothered to change out of her dress uniform on the flight to Imperial Center. Typical for her, far more comfortable in the attire of a soldier than the attire of a Senator.

Senator Fowlkes had heard Crin was coming to Coruscant, the one that had helped set the meeting up with Trask, a Jedi Knight. He also found out that she was a Senator of Volus. If she's a friend of a Jedi, then maybe she can be trusted. It'd be good to finally find someone with the money and resources to take in Jedi fugitives and establish a resistance cell other than himself. The Senator of Telos IV didn't show himself up, it would probably be suspicious for him to do so. Instead, he had sent an aide. The woman was instructed not to look in the datapad he had given her in order to be given to Senator Star.

The aide would approach Senators Cerra and Star carefully as not to startle them. "Excuse me, I apologize for the intrusion. I am here to bring a message to you directly from Senator Fowlkes. He said specifically that it's for your eyes only." The aide would take the datapad out of her purse and handed it to Senator Star before running off to return to her daily duties. The message on the datapad simply says:

"TRASK SENDS HIS REGARDS. THANK YOU FOR HELPING OUT, I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON. ~SENATOR FOWLKES"

Crin would take the pad from the aide giving a slight nod. "Of course, Thank you." she replied moving to take a quick look at it. The message was simple but incriminating but it told her that there was someone that she could trust on Coruscant. So, Trask had made it through the meeting that had been set up via her contact and Trask. She would take only a couple of minutes moving to press a few buttons on the pad wiping away the message. After which she would type a short reply before passing it back over to this aide. "Please return that to Senator Fowlkes, his eyes only of course." she said with a soft smile. There was a short message on this one another small piece of information that likely only Tremaine would understand. "HE HAS ANOTHER ACQUAINTANCE COMING IN SOON." Anything further and she would ask in person no need to have a middle man between them since they were both senators now. But on the bright-side she now knew there was someone she could trust already here.
