Pter Casiri Captain Khanda hasily typed commands onto the holo-keys located on the arm of his command chair. The forward viewscreen switched to the aft camera, the yellow star Maridun caused the camera to polarize immediately. The entire bridge could see the Imperials coming, A Victory-class star destroyer and hordes of incoming tie fighters and bombers. /c
Pter Casiri They had fought off the previous wave of fighters, losing only one gun crew when the rear shields failed temporarily. The commuications array was still intact, they could still transmit the data to the team. The planet Maridun wasn't far now... A small shuttle criused over the rain forest on Maridun. Onboard the shuttle were four members of the /c/
Pter Casiri Antarian Rangers. Pter Casiri first mission as a Ranger hadnt risen to his expectations yet. He sat at his console, manning the only laser turret the shuttle had. The flew in silence, approaching the rendezvous point with the Corellian gunship.

Dustil_Sushere : Commander Sushere would have his flagship, and the only warship of the True Patriots, was in the nearby system of Kattelyn System. The True Patriots were looking for a suitable planet to establish a base on. They were heading for Atraken, an area that were mostly abandoned since the end of the Clone Wars. It was one of the reasons why he wanted /c/
Dustil_Sushere : to check it out. Most of the population on Atraken were wiped out, which makes the planet useless for the Galactic Empire. Still, Commander Sushere needed to be sure. An Venator-class Star Destroyer dubbed Freedom was about to get into the orbit of Atraken to begin the planetary scanning.

Pter Casiri :: The gun crews all reported to the weapons officer on the bridge. However, because they were panicked and dying as the torpedoes smashed away their guns, their messages to the officer were distorted. The Captain could read on the young ensign's face that he was beinging to panic himself. As well he should, their situation was growing worse. /c/
Pter Casiri What's the status of the encryption software, Lieutenant?" he asked the comm. officer. She contined typing without awknowledging him at all. Before he asked again, she turned in his direction and nodded. "The software is ready, sir.We can transmit." There was no time to hail the team planetside and give it to them directly. /c/
Pter Casiri The Captain gathered his thoughts, but the battle didn't give him a moment''s pause. The tie bombers had dedicated themselves to the destruction of the corellian gunship's engines. Their salvo would have been met with a wall of laserfire if they hadn't already destroyed the laser cannons. The exlosion rippled deep into the aft of the ship. /c/
Pter Casiri The bridge shuddered, consoles exploded into the faces of some of the crew. Captain Khanda held on tightly to the arms of his command chair, but was thrown half way across the bridge. The gunship spun on its axis, tumbling helplessly through space. The hordes of tie fighters surrounded their victim while the victory star destroy moved into range /c
Pter Casiri with the tractor beams. The distress signal was sent out automatically, the communications systems rigged to be the last to fail on the dying ship. Planetside on Maridun, Pter and the other three Antarian Rangers waited patiently in the jungle for the gunship to arrive. That was until they recieved the distress call.

Dustil_Sushere : Commander Sushere looked out the window, wanted to see the surface of Atraken himself. The planetary scan had been completed, and it had been reported as a location that wouldn't meet Commander Sushere's criteria for a base. He had let out a sigh, turning his eyes away from the window. "Move the Freedom back into hyp-" His orders were /c/
Dustil_Sushere : interrupted by a beeping. "A distress signal coming on, Sir!" A soldier would reply, and moved on to use a full encrpytion code in order to be able to read it immediately. Commander Sushere would walk over to the radiotransmitter, "Who was calling out for help?" The soldier would shook his head in response to his question, "It'll take a minute /c/
Dustil_Sushere : to figure this one out." The Commander looked at another soldier, "Have the pilots on stand by, and our ground troops prepped and ready to go in case this is something we can help with."

Pter Casiri The distress signal gave location and IFF transponder signal. The Corellian Gunship Peregrine continued to broadcast on all frequencies, a malfunction caused by the damage to the communication systems. The Imperials would have intercepted all their transmissions regardless. Captain Khanda blinked his eyes, soaking his left blood. He sat up /c/
Pter Casiri with a start and checked the gash on his scaple which was bleeding. As he staggered to his feat, he tried to speak but was choked by the smoke that filled the room due to numerous electrical fires. He applied pressure to the wound on his head and composed himself enough to speak. "Damage report!" he called out. The weapons officer the first he /c/
Pter Casiri could make out with his blurred vision. The ensign gestured to the navigation console, with the lieutenant still in his seat, his head off at an unnatural angle. "Nabtrin is dead, sir. I've checked the controls, we're dead stick," the Ensign said. He clasped his hands together and began rubbing them as if he were cold. Khanda ignored this. /c/
Pter Casiri "Ousii here, Captain," called the communications officer. She appeared injured, favoring her left leg. She swept the debris off her console and attempted to reboot the system. The tie fighters continued to rain laser fire on the gunship, though the shields had compensated for the cavity and now strong enough to deflect laser fire. /c/
Pter Casiri Khanda knew, like everyone else onboard, that the Imperial wanted prisoners. Prisoners to interrogate, prisoners that would eventually lead them to the many strongholds of the Origanization and even Jedi refuges. "Is communication online still?" Captain Khanda asked. "Uh... Yes, sir." "Upload the HT-01 data, prepare to transmit," he said. /c/
Pter Casiri They hadn't contacted the team, they couldn't send it to them. Instead, they sent it to a hacked satelite which originally was intended to contact the team with. Stored there, it could be downloaded manually. From here it could easily fall into enemy hands, but it was better than allowing it to die with them.

Dustil_Sushere : The signal would finally be encrypted, it gave them location and IFF transponder signal. "Take us into hyperspace now, to the next system. We'll be there shortly, have the pilots in their fighters and the troops into the transport!" Commander Sushere shouted out the order, and walked over to sit down on his command chair. "We're going to rescue /c/
Dustil_Sushere : them, whoever it is. We can't have them fall into the Imperial hands!" After a few minutes of calculating the coordinates to Maridun, Freedom entered hyperspace. The pilots rushed over to their ships, and the troops would begin to pour into a transport. The Commander kept his eyes out the window, up until the moment when they were ready to /c/
Dustil_Sushere : drop out of hyperspace, of which a few minutes had passed. "Drop us out of hyperspace!" The Freedom had done so a moment later, and the blue tunnel of hyperspace had disappeared. There was a sight of a Victory-class Star Destroyer and a swarm of TIE fighters pummelling a lone Corellian gunship. "Launch the fighters, all of them but keep the /c/
Dustil_Sushere : transport on stand by!" Twenty-four ARC-170 starfighters, twenty-four V-wing starfighters, and 12 BTL-B Y-wing starfighters were departing the hangar bay of Freedom. The Venator were getting itself in range for engagement with the Victory, "Fire the turbolaser turrets first! Aim for their engines!" All of eight DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser /c/
Dustil_Sushere : turrets would begin to rain laser bolts toward the Victory, and their starfighters were heading for the TIE fighters. "Put in the IFF transponder signal that were provided to us and patch me through!" Commander Sushere would rotate his chair to the left, putting himself in the sight of the holotransmitter. A late twenties man in an uniform /c/
Dustil_Sushere : would appear, "This is Commander Sushere of the True Patriots, I received your distress signal."

Pter Casiri :: "We're being hailed by the Imperials... err now we're receiving a transmission from another ship in the system. They're responding to our distress call." Captain Khanda was more interested in their precious cargo. "Have you locked on the satelite?" he asked. The comms. had been transmitting on all frequencies. She had to correct that problem /c/
Pter Casiri before they sent that data. She encrypted the data and finally prepated to transmit to the weather satelite. She turned and began to speak. A direct hit from several torpedoes breached the shields and armored hull, causing atmosphere to vent debris and some of the crew into black. "The red emergency lights that had been on since they had /c/
Pter Casiri been ordered to battlestations finally died, plunging the bridge in darkness. Miniature explosions caused small fires to illuminate an even more devestasted bridge. The Imperial warship came hard about, bringing it's vulnerable aft sections away from the newcomer. Although the Venator star destroyer was a capable warship and carrier, the Victory /c
Pter Casiri Star Destroyer appeared up to the challenge and prepared to engage. A delay in commuications kept more tie bombers on attack runs on the Gunship. Lieuteant Ousii pulled herself to her feat. Her console was still recieving from both the Imperial warship and Sushere's Venator. She hadn't ordered to transmit the data either. Upon looking to the /c/
Pter Casiri captain, she found he was dead. Promptly, she transmitted the data to the satalite. She didn't respond to the Imperial star destroyer, contacting Dustil instead. "Commander Sushere," she said into her throat mic. The transmission on Dustil end would be distorted. "This is Lieutenat Ousii of the Peregrine, we're in bad shape." /c/
Pter Casiri She realizes she is unsure if the person she is speaking to is Imperial or not, very likely it could be. Those left alive on the bridge are tending to the wounded. With the captain dead, there is a gap in the command structure. The Lieutenant continues speaking anyway, trusting her intuition to continue speaking to the Commander. "We have people /c
Pter Casiri planetside... There is sensitive material on our satalite, they must get it. Do you under-" She was interrupted by an explosion that came first from the bulkhead and then enveloped the entire bridge. Bouts of flames erupted all over the hull before a single blast tore the ship into two halves.

Dustil_Sushere : "Don't get closer, maintain distance. The further the Victory is, less chance of them to effectively hit us." Commander Sushere would order his crew to keep the Venator flying right on the line of range, if needed they can always leave a few more feet to get themselves out of range of Victory's line of fire. The man refocused his attention /c/
Dustil_Sushere : toward the garbled transmission. A Lieutenant is talking to him? The Corellian ship must be in a very bad shape, because a Lieutenant don't usually take over command of a warship. Their leader must be dead, but no matter, he would keep on listening. The words were breaking, no doubt an act of the Imperials. However, he was still able to make /c/
Dustil_Sushere : out what she was trying to tell him. The transmission had managed to let key words slip through. "I'm sending my fighters to get rid of the TIEs-" He was trying to speak more, but the transmission had ended. An explosion had engulfed the entire Corellian ship, there was no hope for them now. Nonetheless, his mission right now is to rescue their /c/
Dustil_Sushere : men on the surface. The Lieutenant had said that there were sensitive materials. If it could be used against the Imperial starfleet, then it would gain an upper hand not only for the True Patriots but for every resistance group throughout the galaxy. "Send out the transport, and have the fighter plow the way for them to get on planetside. /c/
Dustil_Sushere : We need that information, and to retrieve their men." The nearby soldier nodded at Dustil and began to bark out his orders, the Venator continued to fire their turrets at what's about to become a long-range engagement against a Victory.

Pter Casiri :: The Victory Star Destroyer had brought its fore to bear of the enemy. Having your back to your opponent only gave them the advantage. The corellian gunship had managed to destroy more than fify percent of the Victory's starfighter compliment. Many of the bombers had to resupply, which was a tricky procedure while the star destroyer was /c/
Pter Casiri engaged. The Venator had already deployed a considerable number of starfighters. Maridun was an Imperial mining world, apart of Imperial territory. Withdraw was not an option for the naval officers, even against a Venator. The wedge shaped capital ship closed range with the Venator until it was within range of the long guns. The slugging match /c/
Pter Casiri between Star Destroyer designs begun. On Maridun's surface, Pter stood beside Olsen as he tried to make contact with the Peregrine, unaware of its destruction. Oslen was the computer expert amongst them. Though they possessed many of the same skills in combat, espionage, and survial, Oslen had a talent with computers that surpasses many /c/
Pter Casiri professional slicers. "I had them for a short while, now they're gone," he said, mostly to himself. The other two Rangers, Callis and Adhen, approached Oslen and Pter. They appeared to be distressed. They were senior members and had a greater understanding of the Force than Pter. He expected they knew something he had missed.
