| Outside the Senate Building, as Senator Bernard Oriel of Vjun was leaving the building, Director Isard stood, wearing his red uniform with the stance of a commando. Behind him, were four Imperial Intelligence agents, one from Renik, one from Sedition, and two from Special Intelligence. Behind them, stood a team of Ubiqtorate Guards, and at each side of the Senator and his personnel, swooped in a squad of Stormtroopers, as well as a squad of Coruscant Guards once they could also exit the Senate building right behind them; a regal looking man with fine clothing was also to the side, with an odd air about him, watching the entire scene. As he was boxed in, Director Isard walked forward to Senator Oriel. "Earl Malreaux, Bernard Oriel, Senator of Vjun; you, and your staff are hereby under arrest for the preliminary charges of Treason and Espionage. Do come along quietly, I'd hate for your loyalty rating to fall," he spoke to them. Upon leaving no less than a meter of open space in the perimeter created around them, the Stormtroopers and Coruscant Guards now with weapons trained upon them and the Ubiqtorate Guards visibly tensed.

| Oriel advanced out of the Senate, on his own save for a tall, gaunt figure advancing down the steps next to him, and not with any mob of soldiers or anyone. "Of course submit to your arrest Director. All for me?" he said in a jovial voice. "Its good to see that the personal touch is employed throughout the Empire, Director Isard."

| The tall figure advancing down the steps beside Oriel was, of course, Imperial Advisor Gemmell, who was most displeased at this frankly crass show of force which would likely serve to undo many of the loyalties his department had worked to instill. It was not seemly to arrest a Senator in this respect, especially on the Senate steps, neither was it seemly to do so with a platoon of soldiers for one man. "This is.. not what I would expect from you, Armand." he said examining the man with a curious eye, wondering what had possessed the Head of Imperial Intelligence to this public arrest madness, and what had made him so mad as to bring a platoon of guards to do it.

| He nodded to Oriel, as the surrounding Stormtroopers, Coruscant Guards, and Uniqtorate Guards eased up. "Thank you, Senator. The Coruscant Guards will lead you to the shuttle that will take you to the detention center," he said to him, turning to Advisor Gemmell. "Vizier Gemmell, a pleasure to see you again. I know the show force is oversized, believe me when I say that I uncomfortable with it... however it's more meant for others than Senator Oriel," he said, as the Stormtroopers worked on keeping press and anyone else away from the Senator, the Director, and now Gemmell. Behind him, the shuttle would lift off, and head to its destination.

| As Gemmell made an about turn and returned to his office (to write a quick letter to Sate Pestage, Lord Vader and the Emperor), Oriel conducted himself peaceably. Knowing that he was not a man without allies in the Empire, he was a loyal subject of the Emperor and had committed no wrong. He had full confidence in the Imperial System.

| The silence from Gemmell was slightly offensive to the Director, but it was no matter. He walked over to his own shuttle, after seeing Oriel's take off, and returned to his office in the Imperial Palace. Senator Oriel would be dealt with by the appropriate staff upon his arrival.

| By the time Isard returned to his office, Lord Vader was there. Waiting. It was difficult to tell when the Executor was displeased, but it was usually safe to assume that he was. Especially when dealing with Isard. Especially today. He rose menacingly from the Director's chair, and stood to his full, formidable height with his gloved hands coming to rest on his belt. There were no pleasantries. "Why have you detained the chamberlain of my castle, and his son?" he said in that deep, foreboding voice of his. The Dark Lord of the Sith remained standing behind Isard's desk, leaving the man with nowhere to be. Of course, Vader didn't want him to be comfortable, although the Executor's very presence here would all but assure that he wouldn't be.

| Upon arriving, there would be over an hour of processing awaiting Oriel, along with another hour of waiting while the information was actually entered into the computer systems, and relevant preparations were made for him. Due to his standing however, he was in a low-security deluxe cell, similar to the conditions of most white-collar criminals, by himself while he waited. When Lord Vader greeted him in his office, he was a little surprised. He could have sworn the Executor was off-world, but it was no matter. His office was indeed spartan, in every sense of the word. He had a small window on the back wall, looking out towards the Legislative Borough, with a desk in front of it, and a chair behind the desk. The rest of the office was similar to the quarters on an Imperial warship, gray panels and white light. His door held the Imperial Intelligence emblem above it, with a small digital clock sitting between the door and the emblem, showing military time in Imperial Standard. Two chairs sat on the other side of the desk, and he walked towards his desk, setting a datapad on it, and staring up at Vader, the desk itself being the only thing separating them. It was as good as using paper for the hull of a Star Destroyer. Despite that, and the mounting and astronomical unease of the situation, Armand attempted to maintain his composure. "Lord Vader, a surprise, but pleasure, to be sure," he replied with a bow. Upon rising he took a parade rest stance in front of the towering Dark Lord. "Senator Oriel spoke in an open forum of matters of a sensitive nature, exposing classified information to any dissenters that might be listening to Senate debate. Thus, he was charged with Treason and Espionage. His father, was also arrested and charged, because Senator Oriel does not have legal access to this information, thus his father is the link to this information leak. We will being interrogating the two about the issue, and if it comes to pass that they are not guilty, then they will be released and a probe will begin regardless of outcome into the Bast Castle facility, and why Senator Oriel has information on its classified use as an Intelligence facility along side your personal use," he responded, attempting to keep himself calm as he awaited Vader's reaction.

| The Dark Lord didn't need the Force to know that Isard was not, in fact, pleased to see him. "You will do no such thing," Vader said to him, almost before the Director had finished. "I have already seen to the release of the chamberlain, and I suggest you release the Senator and question him on his time." The Executor pointed an accusatory finger at the man for emphasis as he went on, "Wounding Armand Isard's pride is not a crime, Director. Having arrested this Senator for all to see, you have drawn more attention to my world, and to the Empire's operations there, than he ever did. Let him go, and conduct this investigation of yours quietly. These aren't the Clone Wars anymore, Isard." Indeed, the days of Imperial Intelligence's wanton arrest of supposedly "treasonous" Senators had come and gone, for now. The times had changed, and the Senate was not as complacent as it had been then. It would be dispensed in due time, yes—the Emperor had foreseen this. But until then, it controlled the budget of Imperial Intelligence, and its compliance was required. It was not acceptable to arrest Senators in broad daylight on what were, in not only Vader's opinion, frivolous charges. So it was that Vader, of all people, was here as a voice of restraint. One wondered if either he or Isard appreciated the irony of this.

| He shook his head. "My pride is not wounded here, Lord Vader. Frankly, the public arrest was a formality on the part of Oriel, who was sure to comply, but more so of a message being sent to the Senate that it could not do as it wills, and that it must be the Imperial Senate, and must act in the best interest of the Empire, of which proclaiming state secrets is not." he said. He grabbed his datapad back up from the desk, and used the stylus to make a few clicks and then mark his signature. "Very well, as you wish. Senator Oriel shall be released. He should be exiting the Imperial Intelligence Central Detention Center in..." he said, turning to look upon the clock and then turn back, "exactly one and a half hour." He set the datapad neatly back on the desk. "To save an ally, you have emboldened our internal enemies. I hope you know what you are doing, Lord Vader. This exposure, arrest or not, of Vjun and the Bast Castle facility could lead to a drastic reduction in the facilities security and operations," he said, shifting to the left to face the wall, giving Vader ample room to leave his office.

| "Leave that to me," the Dark Lord said, his large frame rounding the desk and making his way for the door with his customary, long strides. His cape billowed behind him. An hour later, his shuttle would be cruising high over Imperial Center with its duo of TIEs as escort on the way to the Star Destroyer Exactor, in orbit. Soon, Vader would be on his way to Dressel. He had been on his way earlier, and preparing to leave the Imperial Palace, when he had been told of the Vjun incident and delayed his departure. Now, with this business behind him, he would return to the hunt. The Purge was not complete, and the Jedi would not escape him.
