At the Vjun owned Sensor Array so recently erected close to the Volus system, a small asteroid was detected heading inbound towards the Volus System. At its current speed and velocity it would have entered Volusian territory in approximately 98.2 standard years from now. While the Volusian Sensors on their pickets would surely detect the rock as it came towards Volus, it was part of the station's "Good Neighbour" policy to intercept any asteroids which it could, to save time and money for Volus.

A Star Tours StarSpeeder 2000 had just departed carrying a half dozen students and a few crewmen, spending their weekend rest period visiting Volus on this scheduled flight. As such, the Tug "Razmead" launched swiftly heading for the small asteroid and activated its tractor beams. However, the Vjunite crew were notified by the array as they targeted a quadlaser at the asteroid that it had an unusually dense core, likely of a useful metal with a heavy weight such as lead or gold.

The Tug then spent some time carefully manipulating the asteroid to a halt, before opening its rear airlock with a Crewman in Environment suit inside, who reached out and pulled it into the airlock, the door sliding closed as he secured it to the floor. Upon returning to the array, the rock was examined by one of the scientists aboard, who advocated crushing the rocky form to cause it to break away from the inner core.

After some hours the rock was duly crushed by one of the recycling presses, causing the rocky and icy exterior to fall off, before a loadlifter removed the core, a shimmering core of an alloy with a large amount of aurodium, the size of a mans head. Albeit adulterated with less valuable minerals, the smelters on Vjun would be more than able to extract the Aurodium from the core.

The Commandant then shut down the communications array from the station, preventing a signal being sent by any who would wish to sell out the station to nearby Volus, or even pirates. Jones was torn as to how to act, but took the safest option possible in loading the Asteroid aboard their Lambda-class shuttle and dispatching it with all possible speed for the closest large Imperial Installation (for security), taking an indirect but secure route via the best policed space lanes possible.

The rock was named on arrival at the Vjun Embassy at Nessem the "Stone of Justice", after the fact that a rock heading for Volus containing wealth was found by Vjunites just after Volus stole a considerable amount of Vjunite merchandise.
