| From hyperspace, Commodore Scumble burst, his YT-700 freighter "Scumble's Might" flanked by its companion vessel "Scumble's Wealth". The vessels slid towards Volus, broadcasting a standard trade code. Scumble picked up his blaster pistol from where it sat on the console and looked out of the window.. curious whether they had attracted any attention. Pete and Chad were also in the cockpit as it drifted onwards. Scumble hit Pete across the lekku with his Blaster Pistol "Get to the gun, worm". Aboard the BFF-1 there was just a protocol droid and R2 unit, in the cockpit and the engine room respectively, keeping the hulker ticking over as they cruised onwards towards their destination. The BFF-1 stayed just behind the YT-700 in its engine wash. Scumble pulled on a pair of headphone and awaited the hail from the Volusians.. he hoped this plan would work.

| Because the Volusians were evidently not responding, and as the Vjunites were nearby, evidently assuming the Volusians were too hard pressed to intercept these possible raiders, the Vjunites launched their Lambda-class shuttle on an intercept course, making a microjump into the path of the potential raiders. With weapons charged the Vjunite vessel identified itself and requested the business the rebels were on.

| The rebels, knowing the terrifying military might of the Vjunites dispatched the BFF-1 to flee. While the YT-700 began a desperate rear-guard action, opening fire upon the Lambda-class shuttle. Scumble did not want another run-in with the Empire, and he mistook the code of the Vjunites (along with the ship shape) for an Imperial ship. The laser cannon lanced out towards the Lambda-static in space.

| The Lambda-class, shocked at being attacked by the vessel it was merely questioning took a glancing hit to its wing before opening fire on the corellian transport, its shields powering to full as it made an evasive loop and began to rain fire down upon the YT-700.

| The YT-700 began to retreat before the determined attack from the Lambda-class, turning away and gunning its engines back to the jump point, its laser cannon turret chattering shots aft towards the pursuing Lambda-class. The BFF-1, reaching the jump point, made a jump for hyperspace, heading for Dac.

| The Vjunite shuttle, shocked by the lack of Volusian response assumed it was a trap and did not pursue the YT-700 closely, its lasers however scoring across its shields as it moved swiftly back the way it came. There was a hoorah from the crew as the raiders were driven away.

| The YT-700 juddered as the shields began to buckle under the relentless fire, however, the speed of the ship allowed it to quickly reach the jump point and get to hyperspace. Scumble sighed with relief as he reached the jump point, putting his ship into hyperspace and also heading for Dac. Hopefully he could buy water there without any Imperial complications. "Too close" he said to Steve sitting next to him.. too close by far. Hardly an auspicious start for the Freedom Eagles, but atleast nobody had died.

| The Lambda-class, still worried about the possibility of more raiders in the area made the jump back to the relative safety of the Array's environs. Sending a polite signal to the Volusians that they had been attacked while attempting to identify a ship in the systems outer reaches, but had scared the raiders off.
