| The Jedi chuckled when he saw six MagnaGuards walk into the conference room. They had indeed reminded him of the Clone Wars the most. He had encountered them a few times in some of the battles, won some and lost some. They may be droids, but they are such a formidable opponents. Darwin then looked at a black-robed man, he assumed that it was Shiva. Now, that's a man he hadn't recognized. "Not that I'd attack you, but it's always nice to see more than one MagnaGuard around. They bring back memories." Darwin looked at Kaylie for a moment before looking back at Shiva, "First of all, I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet with little, old me. Secondly, the Jedi you sent to meet with me didn't leave me anything on how to contact you. Besides, I'd feel better discussing about a possible alliance with you than a couple of Jedi working for a Separatist. No offense intended." "I know I spoke to you about trust in the message I sent you, but you know the saying "Sometimes old habits die hard." There is a reason why I prefer to have a meeting with you. You see, I have never heard of you fighting in the Clone Wars. It's not just that, but the Separatists also used questionable methods that were used during the war. I wanted to see if you could prove to me that working with your faction is the best course of action in defeating the Empire someday. I want nothing more than getting rid of the Empire and returning freedom and justice to the galaxy. You understand what I'm saying here, Commander Shiva?"

| "Technically speaking, Mr. Sky... you are a Jedi working for a Separatist, just as they are. Being members of your former Order, I assumed you'd feel more comfortable working through them than through myself. After all, as you said, old habits die hard. You would not have been brought into this miniature sanctum if I had viewed you as too great a threat after all." Shiva paused to consider the Jedi's words and then reply in kind. "You would not have heard of me in the Clone Wars. If you had, something would have gone horribly wrong. There were seven shadow commanders in all. None of us knew the identities of any of the others, at least truly. The only one we did know was our head, a Sith, or so he called himself. Darth Novak. He's dead and gone these days, lost during the Battle of Coruscant, or so I can assume. "If you want to get rid of the Empire, Mr. Sky, you're going to have to get your hands dirty. I can't put it more simple than that. I issue orders that I expect to be followed to the letter, whether it is a raid on a military convoy... or a bombing of a civilian center that will impact the Imperials negatively. If I can play a planet off against another planet, I will do so to make the Imperials step in and crack down on them. "In short, Mr. Sky, I will use every and any means to reach this end that I seek."

| The Jedi crossed his arms and slowly stood up, but didn't do anything to indicate that he was a threat to Shiva or any of the MagnaGuards. "So there may be more of the Dark Acolytes working for the Separatists after all this time? If they're still around, how do yo know they won't rat on you to the Empire? I mean...Count Dooku was working for Emperor Palpatine in secret, and they may turn out to be Imperial agents working for the Inquisitorus." Darwin wasn't going to trust the darksiders, especially not after Palpatine issued Order 66. "No offense, but I knew there was something wrong with you Separatists during the Clone Wars. You guys have no morals. A bombing of a civilian center will taint the Separatists' image. Your men...or droids in this case...will be viewed as terrorists rather than saviors. That will put an impact in your recruiting. I want to get rid of the Empire as much as you do, but targeting civilians isn't the way to go. This is not how we should win the hearts of the galaxy. People fear the Empire for a reason, and you don't want them to view the Separatists as simply another Galactic Empire. If my crew and I are going to work WITH you, I do not want to see a civilian get killed off." Darwn's tone was firmer than usual, something Kaylie wouldn't have seen before, "I'm sorry if I sounds very criticizing of your work, but you know us Jedi. We don't condone terrorist actions. You want to defeat the Empire, do it the right way! Once you gets more warships and more fighters, you should assemble a fleet and defeat an Imperial fleet to prove to the rest of the galaxy that the Empire can be defeated. That will inspire the rest of the galaxy to take up arms against the Imps! You, Commander Shiva, should show that the Separatists aren't the bad guys here, The Empire is."

| Shiva shrugged slightly. Some risks were taken, true, but the cost was worth the gain. The more Sky spoke, the more Shiva wondered if he wasn't going to have to remove the man. He could very well turn into a security risk. "Mr. Sky, you truly don't understand, do you? Let me spell it out for you. There will be no titanic struggle between a Separatist fleet and an Imperial fleet. No shipyard large enough to create ships I would need will work for us. They fear the Empire too much. Secondly, I do not have the resources to build any such fleet of ships. What I can and do afford are mercenaries and pirates whose snubfighters and freighters I can afford to replace if they are destroyed. The galaxy will always view Separatists as the enemy. Even those who do not will not side with us for fear that the Empire's wrath will fall on their heads, or the heads of loved ones. "You may not condone terrorist actions and as such, if you accept our missions, I shan't send you on any that are not legitimate military targets. You need to understand, Mr. Sky, that war is a dirty business. If I cannot fight an open, clean battle because it would cost me everything, then I will fight a shadow war. It is what I did for the Separatists and it is what I will do now. The Empire has enough military that they can clone, conscript and build enough to overwhelm us. Instead, we hit them where it hurts: the populace. We remind the people that the Empire is not safety and with every bomb I set off, the Imperials crack down more. The people will not stand for it and eventually, they will revolt. When that day comes, Mr. Sky, I shall not be there to lead them. I will be in my quiet corner of the galaxy away from whatever remains of the Empire and whatever new government replaces it."

| The Jedi nodded, "I can understand that, and I can deal with that. But we don't necessarily have to contract with a shipyard to build up warships and fighters. All we have to do is recruit more people in order to be able to operate warships that we could hijack from the Empire. If we could use Imperial star destroyers against them, then I believe we can secure a few victories." Darwin decided to calm himself down a little bit, he knows he can be so passionate sometimes. "I know war is certainly a ugly business, but I am just saying I don't want to be the one killing civilians. I will be fine with working with you on one of your missions as long as it doesn't involve killing civilians. That's the one difference between you and I. I will lead the people if I have to. I will, to the best of my abilities, fight the Empire until they are in ruins or until I die. Either way, I expect to inflict as much damage as possible. Now, I know we are old enemies and all but the real enemy here is the Imperials. We gotta work together if we ever hope for a victory one day."

| Kaylie sat silently through most of the meeting, and didn't speak up mainly because she hadn't been spoken to. The droid were unsettling at best, but she made no move there either. The thing she didn't understand was why the were arguing if they were all supposed to be on the same side....against the Empire. Still, she didn't say anyhing She did find that she was surprised at Darwin s tone of voice as she had never heard him speak like that.

| Shiva snorted in unveiled amusement. "If you believe you can muster the soldiers willing and crazy enough to hijack a Star Destroyer, you go right ahead with that operation. I think you seem to forget that we are the rabble and they, the rulers. We fight how we can, Mr. Sky, and a single Star Destroyer is hardly worth the cost of lives and lack of future recruitment if things go badly. No, I'd put my faith in swarms of smaller ships and armed freighters if I were you. "If you wish to lead the people, I welcome you to it. I've already begun carving out my own niche where I bother no man and no man shall bother me. For now, then, we have an accord Mr. Sky. Have you anything further?"

| The Jedi nodded at Shiva, slowly taking out a datapad out of the robes he was wearing at the moment. He was doing it slowly as not to provoke Shiva and the MagnaGuards. The next moment he tossed it at the shady guy, "There's the frequency to contacting my ship inside that datapad. Contact me when you need my help, and I'd like to do the same thing so if you could give me a way to contact you...it would be great." Darwin looked at Kaylie and Artie, nodding at them to follow him. He'd casually walk toward the door, but not before he stopped and turned around. "Uh...you know, no offense to the Separatists but the Empire already proved their superiority over the droid army during the Clone Wars. You want to win, a step to that is to produce more of those MagnaGuards and the Droidekas. Just thought I'd suggest something before we part our ways for the time being, Commander Shiva." The Jedi once again turned around and walked out of the room, hoping that the Separatists wouldn't try something stupid and bring them back to the Proclarush Taonas.

| Inwardly, Kaylie rolled her eyes when Darwin motioned for her to follow him. It might have been just as easy for her and Artie to stay with the ship while this meeting had happened. She had questions for Dar, but she would ask him when they were, hopefully, returned to the ship. Silently, she followed him, and the droid rolled along behind the pair.

| Indeed, the small group would be returned to the shuttle with the intent to take them back to their vessel. Shiva had other places to be.
