| The Senator stayed relatively confined to her stateroom during the two day journey from Coruscant to Rothana. She had never been, and trusted her personal guard, Riley, to pilot the private vessel she was using that was registered to Chandrila. There had been work for her to do and catch up on, so she took the quiet time during the trip to do so. the trip to Naboo had set her behind just a little bit. Riley informed her of their impending arrival nearly an hour before they would dock at the shipyards. She glanced over her shoulder at the hulking figure in the doorway of her room and nodded her approval. "I appreciate it, Riley. When we arrive at the shipyards, I will only require that you accompany me until I meet Senator Veritas. I am sure that I will be in more than capable hands." He nodded his response and left so that he could begin the landing/docking procedure. Ilanah stayed put and sat down at her vanity and made sure that she looked perfect before she pulled her golden curls up halfway with a clip. Idly, she added a little more facial powder before her gaze went to the wrinkled note that was laying on the vanity top that she had brought with her. It was the note Kal had left. For a moment, she wondered where he was and what he was doing. She had to put the thought out of her mind, as she had her own job to do. The ship shuddered a little as Riley landed and the Senator stood and smoothed her cobalt blue and perriwinkle gown with her hands, before she pulled the matching long coat over top of it and left it open so the front of the gown showed. She picked up her thin datapad, and then almost as an after thought, she tucked Kal's note into her jewelry box. She would send him a message later, after this meeting went well. Ilanah met Riley in the corridor and left the ship, with him only two steps off of her heels and to her right, taking care not to step on the short train of her dress. Hopefully, she thought, the Senator would already be there and waiting, and that she would not have to look too hard for him.

| She would indeed not have to look too hard for him, for he was awaiting her when she arrived and greeted her at the ramp of her ship. He gave a polite half-bow to the young Senator out of respect. "Senator Thanatos, it is an honor and a pleasure to finally meet you in person. I had intended to attend Moff Brandt's party of a couple of months ago to do so, but business kept me off Imperial Center," he said. He then turned and motioned for her to walk with him. On either side of the shuttle, with enough room in-between, stood two companies of Stormtroopers, totaling the entire battalion that was stationed aboard the shipyards. In front of them, however, stood their officers, in full military dress, the black uniforms being contrasted with silver trim and epaulletes. After them, stood both wings of fighter pilots, also in their full military dress; behind them stood their flight technicians while a general grouping of dockworkers stood behind the Stormtroopers to match. After this, the command staff of the shipyards stood as well, also in full military dress, the grey of their uniforms making the silver trim less noticeable. Next to Veritas stood the commander of the shipyards, Commodore Jon Vonlin, albeit in his regular uniform. "So, how would you like the day's agenda to proceed? What ever makes you feel comfortable, works. I have set up a tour of the facilities, and we will have a conference room for discussion of Chandrila's new fleet; either of which we can do first. Is there anything else you wanted to cover while you are here?" he asked her, with a charming smile. Since he had cut his hair and shaved his beard he was perhaps slightly less grandfatherly than before, but nonetheless, he maintained the same attitude; an overall pleasant and caring old man.

| Ilanah smiled warmly as the senator bowed to her, and immediately she curtsied formally before she simply took his hand in both of hers gently, squeezing the digits lightly in her warm palms. "Senator Veritas, you have no idea how much I have looked forward to this meeting over the past three days." A moment later, she would release his hand and then hold it out for Riley to hand her the datapad, which she took before she glanced to him and nodded that it was alright for him to go. Riley moved off and returned to the ship. The senator would look to Titus again. "Please, Moff Brandt throws a lovely party, but business is business and knowing the Moff, there will always be another party, Senator. Perhaps at the next one you will save a dance for me?" She smiled brilliantly before he gaze trailed lingeringly over the ranks of stormtroopers, then the sharply dressed officers, and their Commander. That made her nervous, but she did not show it outwardly at all. As her gaze when back to the Senator, she spoke again. "And please, call me Ilanah, I insist." She said kindly as she patted his arm lightly before he started rattling off the agenda that he had in mind for the day. "Whatever you recommend, Senator. It is you who are helping me and I am at your mercy. Your expertise is what I covet, so please, lead the way." Ilanah said as she held the datapad against her with her fingers interlaced together over it. "I read on the journey that this shipyard is a subsidiary of the Kuat Drive Yards. Does that mean that they make the same kind of ships? Or different? As I said before, I really have no knowledge of ships for things such as the defense of my planet and people."

| He smiled at Thanatos' returned greeting, impressed by the young woman, and gave a light chuckle at her insistence of casuality. "Very well, Ilanah; and you may call me Titus, if you wish. I will certainly save a dance for you at the Moff's next event. I apologize if the welcoming is a bit much, Commodore Vonlin insisted," he said. Vonlin would smile at this, "The best for a Senator, only surpassed by the Viziers, the Executor, and the Emperor," he replied. Listening to Thanatos further, they walked out of the hangar and through the hallway that the hangar exited into, and boarded a tram, which would hold only the three of them. "I hope you don't mind Commodore Vonlin accompanying us?" he asked, before answering her question. As the tram began moving, he would speak. "We'll take the tour first. Now, Rothana Heavy Engineering is indeed currently a subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards, as your research indicated; once they were an independent company. While they are a KDY subsidiary, they still maintain a limited amount of corporate independence. While the Imperial Navy trends to a more direct preference to KDY, the Republic Navy of the Clone Wars in fact had a slight preference for Rothana at the beginning, slowly moving over to KDY as the war dragged on. While being related, we have always adhered to a policy of treating to two companies as their own separate entities," he said. At this point the tram emerged from the hangars and traveled along a transparisteel tube that ran out through the shipyards, but for the very first minute, across empty space itself, on the bottom of a supporting strut that was part of a system that connected the two sections. It would provide a stunning view of not only the planet below but the shipyards, the various projects under construction, and the small Imperial defense fleet off in the distance. "Rothana has many of its own unique designs, but they do work on Kuat designs as well, and are capable of repairing any Imperial design." he told her, as they neared the shipyards themselves.

| "It is his station, so of course, he would want to extend the best possible greeting. I am very impressed, Commander, at your initiative to make both Senator Veritas and myself feel welcome, as unnecessary as it is...on my part at least." She smiled warmly at the Commander as she took a seat across from him and smoothed the silk of her gown before she answered. "And I hardly mind one bit." Her voice had a light accent to it, a certain Chandrilan charm that lingered on each of her carefully formed words. Ilanah would nod in response to Titus telling her about the Kuat Drive Yards and Rothana still being treated as separate entities though they were under the same banner to some extent. "Oh....my...." She murmured as she tram left the hangars and traveled towards the shipyards. Her interest was directed from Titus, towards the fleet that was in mid-construction. "The Empire certainly has some very impressive ships, Senator. I have not seen many up close, only in passing while leaving and returning to Coruscant." She smiled as she turned her gaze back to the older man. "I imagine they are just as amazing on the inside. Sleek and streamlined." She commented with a small smile. "So do tell me about these ships we are seeing here. What do they do and their purposes? I like to be well informed before I make any solid decisions, which I am sure you understand, Titus?"

| "Yes, we try to not make the Imperial Navy such an intrusive presence at Coruscant, hence most of that area's fleet being docked at Anaxes. Keeps the people calm and at ease," he said. He was personally enjoying her slight accent; he enjoyed all accents. Her use of such would, without himself noticing, slowly bring out his own accent with every exchange between them. "Primarily, Rothana is the biggest contractor for Acclamator Assault Ships. They sit at seven-hundred meters, can carry an entire Grand Army of the Republic configuration Division, and have the ability to land on a planet, sporting twelve Quad Turbolasers along with complementary Missle Launchers. Rothana has also become a primary manufacturer of ships like the Victory Star Destroyer and Venerator Star Destroyer, among other KDY designs used in the Republic Navy and either not used now in the Imperial Navy or being phased out. I have a complete list awaiting us in the conference room," he said. "Indeed, I do understand wanting to be informed. I try to keep myself such in all regards of governing the Imperial people, but, regrettably, my forte is merely matters of defense. Nonetheless, I still try," he said smiling, as they began to pass through the shipyards, showing various ships in various states of construction.

| "I voted in favor of the defense bill, so of course I also need to be sure that these ships are outfitted within the absolute letter of the law." She said as she continued to look out of the window of the tram. It was interesting to see all of those things, as she had never seen anything like it before. The Chandrilian fleet had been Imperialized before she was Senator, so she didn't have the access before. Finally she turned her gaze back to Titus and she smiled warmly. He looked so friendly and fatherly, and that put her at ease. And it almost made her hate what she was doing, even though part of it was completely legitimate. She really, truly did want a fleet for Chandrila. "Do you think that the Acclamator is an appropriate ship for Chandrila? Or is it too much?" Ilanah asked him as she wrote down what he had told her with the stylus on her datapad. "Of course I will heed solely to your advise as this is your area of expertise." She smiled again. "And I will repay the favor....for all of this."

| "I will ensure you are breaking no laws, Ilanah. I can understand how daunting such a task as you are undertaking can be, especially if you are without any experience or knowledge in the field. I will see to it that you and Chandrila are well taken care of," he said with a smile and warming gaze. He stood and walked towards the door of the tram to look down on the various workers for a moment. "An Acclamator would be perfect, an Acclamator-II to be precise. Since you are in the Core you don't have to worry about much more than smugglers, so such an anti-capital ship vessel would be a perfect selection for a flagship," he walked over to seat back down next to her. He took time to observe her, take in her presence. She was indeed beautiful as well as charming; her insecurity about things she knew little added even more to the charm. Rather than off-putting in an ignorant manner, it was more of inviting thing; a curious mind begging to be taught. He was always willing to be a teacher in any manner of subjects, always willing to enlighten others. Many said rather than star athlete, soldier, and politician, he should have become a teacher. Then again, he had plenty of time in his life, as far as he was concerned, to pursue other ventures, despite what some may have said otherwise. "You show a talent for the martial arts, I am impressed. Perhaps you don't need my help after all," he said to her with a chuckle as he looked at her. "You doubt yourself too much, Ilanah; you are very intelligent, perhaps one of the most intelligent delegates in the Senate. I believe you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it," he said with a smooth, reassuring voice.

| Her gaze would follow the old man for a moment as he walked to the door and looked down below. She looked back to the datapad she had been writing on and rested it on her lap when he came back and took a seat next to her. "I am not so sure about that, Titus. There are some things that I am very intelligent in regards to, but ships are not one of them. Until I was elected senator, I had only left Chandrila once in my life." She smiled a little and tapped her polished fingernails lightly on the edge of the datapad. "But...I am willing to learn what I need to know. I want to help make the choices, not just have them chosen for me. If I had wanted that, I would have simply hired on an adviser from Chandrila." She paused for a moment and toyed with the slender platinum band that circled her finger. It was out of habit, nothing more than that. "And also, I just wanted to meet you. Out of the senate. Sometimes people are so different there and in the world. Does that make sense?" She looked to him and offered another small smile before she changed the subject. "So....I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. Is there more to the shipyards that needs to be seen? Or shall we make way to the conference room?"

| He smiled at her, "It does not require a knowledge of something to learn it, merely a will to as well as an open mind," he said, looking off again afterwards. "I ventured off world once in awhile, growing up on Deralia. Rothana here is in fact one of the main foreign employers of Deralians, with my father working here when I was a child. He would try to bring me out on some of his trips here for work, and I would get to explore the ships that were still under construction but pressurized. I have many fond memories of this place," he said with a pleasant look off into the distance. After a moment, he returned to the present, turning to her again. "It is good that you wish to be an independent but educated leader. I'm afraid too many focus on being yes-men or fiercely independent, rather than finding the middle ground that betters their people," he said, rising as the tram entered another tunnel, this time that of the main facility. He continued, "Take, former Senator Star. She was so caught up in remaining independent from everyone else that it ended up turning nearly the entire galaxy against her and Volus, even my world, which had been working on building an alliance with Volus, had to attempt diplomatic efforts at resolving the 'cotton crisis'. On the other hand, take someone such as, Senator Oswaldt. Absolutely anything the Emperor or Grand Vizier... really anyone that is in the Imperial bureaucracy and above him, he will follow along with. I am a friend of the Emperor's but I still apply logic to my consideration of all measures in the Senate, and anything I am told by those higher up," he said; if one could tell, the state of the Senators was a subject of soreness with him. She was, thankfully to him, one of the bright spots, even if they conflicted at times at a philosophical level. Upon the door opening, Commodore Vonlin also rose, and Veritas turned, his left arm aimed out of the tram, with his right hand being held out for her take and help her up.

| Ilanah mulled his words over in silence and then she nodded a little in agreement as he spoke. "They are the extremes, of course, don't you think?" She offered a small smile before her gaze went back out the window of the tram to the shipyards. They truly did impress her, and she enjoyed seeing things that she had never seen before. "Let us not think on them any longer today, Titus." She could tell that it bothered him, it was obvious in his expression. He was such a sweet old man, and while he may have been hardened by years of war and troubles, she wanted him to feel at ease with her. In the back of her mind she stored away the information regarding Titus knowing the Emperor. She placed her slender digits in his hand and gripped it lightly as she stood in one graceful and fluid movement. Ilanah removed her hand from his and followed both Titus and Commodore Vonlin from the tram. "Have I mentioned that your facility is very impressive, Commodore? Very orderly and well run." She commented as her gaze focused on the corridor around them. Her gaze fell to Titus again. "I appreciate your choice in this shipyard. I admit before I contacted you, I only knew of Kuat." She smiled a little. "But I think....I think that this place might just be perfect. Would it be a problem for me, should we choose to have a fleet built here and get permission from the senate and the Emperor, to travel a couple of times and see the fleet in construction? Like you said you did as a child, Titus....that would be very interesting."

| ((Sorry about taking so long to post on this, and the shortness)) Commodre Vonlin gave a polite head bow to the Senator, "Thank you, Senator Thanatos. It is an honor to hear your compliment," he said to her as they continued on. Veritas smiled to her before leading her on to the conference room. As they walked, he responded to her. "Most do only know of Kuat, which is a shame when there are countless fine shipbuilders throughout the galaxy to do the work of so many. It warms my heart to hear your approval of Rothana and it would be more than possible to have the work done for your fleet here. As for visitation, it would certainly not be a problem, although I couldn't guarantee to you my presence during every visit if you wished for it, though would certainly try," he said to her before leading her into the conference room in which they would be left alone. He walked over to the end of the long table, and pulled out an end chair for her to sit on, with the spot having a datapad sitting before it.

| Ilanah wandered down the hall between the two gentlemen until they came to the conference room so that she and Titus could have a sit down and chat about the ships that she needed and wanted for Chandrila. Being the gentleman that he was, Titus pulled out a chair for her and she sat carefully on the edge of the seat and laid her own personal datapad aside the one that was provided there. "Oh please, Titus, I wasn't asking that you would come with me each time. Although that would be a bonus for me, of course, to be able to spend more time with you of course." She smiled a little and turned her personal datapad on. A message from Kal popped up and a fleeting smile crossed her face before she quickly closed the message, to be read later. "So where to begin? You mentioned the Acclamator....I assume that the schematics and everything are on this?" She motioned to the other datapad before she reached and turned the device on. Added (15 Mar 2011, 4:00 PM) --------------------------------------------- A high pitch bleeping sound emitted from the datapad of the Chandrilan senator out of nowhere. Her gaze went to it and she touched her way through a few screens before she found the message and scanned it with her cobalt blue eyes. She turned her gaze away from the datapad for a moment and she looked out the window at the floating shipyard outside. The Imperial fleet was half built and glittered in the lights that shone on it for the workers that labored tirelessly and around the clock. Her gaze went back to the two gentlemen in the room. Fortunately for the young Senator, she had found out what she needed and would be able to contact Tremaine as soon as she was aboard her own ship, and safely away from the shipyards. "I apologize, Gentlemen, but I've just received a message from my aide on Chandrila and I am needed at home immediately." She said as she gathered her personal datapad and commlink before she pulled herself to her feet. Ilanah kept her eyes on Titus for several moments as she watched him shuffle through his notes. "I appreciate your meeting with me and your assistance, Senator. When we are both back on Coruscant, I hope that we can meet for lunch. In a non-official capacity." She had enjoyed her time with the older gentleman, despite the fact that her intentions were not entirely honest. It bothered her that she had to lie to him, but it was entirely necessary. Ilanah laid her belongings down for a moment before she moved around the table. In a gentle, and graceful movement, she planted a tender and chaste kiss on each cheek of Titus Veritas. "Thank you so much, again." She murmured before she moved away and picked her things up once more. "Commodore Vonlin, would you mind escorting me back to my ship?" Ilanah gave him a dazzling smile before she started back down the same corridor to the tram that would take her to her ship. Once there, she would part with the Commodore, in a much more formal manner, and then board the Chandrilan ship before she saw Riley. "Get us out of here, Riley. And let me know once we are far enough away to establish a secure connection with Senator Fowlkes." The Senator said before she went back to her stateroom and laid her datapad down and peered out the window as she ship lifted off and departed from the Rothana Heavy Engineering Shipyards.
