| Sluis Van 0335 Coruscant Time Toben Domon sat quietly in his darkened officer; the only light coming from the massive space station that sat above and to the right of his orbital facility where he often worked. It was calming for him, to be so close to the ships that were built by his people. Despite the fact that much of his vessels went to the Empire, he took comfort in the fact that were, at least to him, works of art. These days, beauty was a hard thing to find. It had kept him awake many nights now; the Empire. Domon had given far too much to this speciest government, and he could only keep complying with their votes in the Senate or face the possibilities of scandals. He saw all too well what they were doing to de Crion in the news. Fortunately, he'd kept himself out of the limelight and safe along with those who supported the Empire. Now though, perhaps he had done enough harm. He wouldn't be around forever, and no sentient wanted to be remembered as someone who endorsed an evil regime. Perhaps it was time to use his resources to reach outwards and contact the various groups that opposed the Empire. He'd never be able to produce battleships for them, that was sure. But help in other ways? Sluis Van was full of possibilities. For now though, he simply thought and waited.

| Time had passed since his "supposed" identity had met with a Mandalorian. The time spent with the man was rather interesting. He couldn't really convince Jaboa in joining, but agreed to let him think about it for a while. The only thing that concerns him is that he wouldn't be able to get a Mandalorian to join his secret resistance, and that was something the rebellion would have used pretty well. At least Tremaine had understood why Jaboa was hesitant to join, or at least he hoped that was the reason. There were already a Mando'ade resistance and Jaboa probably didn't want to leave them hanging dry. Tremaine was inside his usual Theta-class shuttle, waking up from his nap a moment ago. He woke up based on his instincts, it tells him that something was wrong. He, along with his bodyguards, were on a business trip for the Loyalist Gas Mining Corp deep in the Outer Rim and was trying to get back to Coruscant. One of his bodyguards cursed something out before dropping the shuttle out of hyperspace. Tremaine raised his eyebrows, "What's going on?" The next moment, the pilot had told Tremaine that they were in need of refuelling. He had let out a heavy sigh, wondering how this could have happened. It doesn't often happen with someone as important as Senator of Telos IV, but it could have happened. The men could have miscalculated the destination to stop by to fill up the tank. It won't be a big deal for Tremaine as long as it isn't someplace like Azterri. The console beeped, the pilot turned his eyes toward Tremaine. "We're dropping into the system that inhibits Sluis Van." He had never been to Sluis Van before, but the place was well known for its shipyard. He had heard of it during his time as a soldier in the Clone Wars. It had been site of some battles between Republican army and the Separatists. Also, the name Sluis Van had come up a few times during a few of the discussions among the Senate due to their Senator, Toben Domon. The name hit him, perhaps the Senator is at Sluis Van and he could help clear Tremaine's landing clearance. The Senator would order the pilot to speak with the docking authority to see about landing down to refuel the shuttle.

| Sluis Van's fleet had been recalled from the action that had turned out not to become a blockade of Volus. As such, the Theta-class shuttle was greeted cordially by the Sluissi operators who made the docking authority. Within only a few moments, the craft was identified as being registered to Senator Fowlkes and as such, a pair of Law-class patrol craft were assigned to escort the Senator. His request to refuel his shuttle was more than reasonable, and he was directed not to a landing pad, but to an orbital refueling station that would be more convenient. A message was sent to Senator Domon as well, informing him that Senator Fowlkes was present in the system and of the man's purpose. Domon, being the sort who was rather polite, took the time to personally establish contact with Fowlkes' shuttle. "Senator Fowlkes, welcome to Sluis Van. It is a surprise to see any Senators out this far, I must say. If you have the time, feel free to come by my office for a bite to eat before you step out." Domon always stood on formality.

| "Well, I've been traveling a lot lately." A light chuckle could be heard through the transmitter. "That actually sounds good. I think I'll take you up on that offer, Senator Domon." The Senator would order the pilot to take the shuttle to dock at the orbital refueling station. Tremaine kind of expected a welcoming committee being sent from Senator Domon to escort him back to the non-human's office. The Empire have used that term with much anger and hatred for some reasons. Was it because Palpatine had brainwashed people into believing that they were some kind of repulsive creatures? Was it because Tarkin's personal opinions toward Non-Humans had spread throughout the galaxy? Was it because the clones had shown superiority to many of the Non-Humans that allied themselves with Confederacy of Independent Systems? Perhaps each one played a contribution to Human High Culture. Tremaine wasn't the type to feel that the Non-Humans are beneath him, he wasn't raised that way. He also had a lot of friends that weren't Humans. He made those type of friends in school, military, and now as a Senator. As the shuttle had docked the refueling station moments later, the Telosian got up and walked toward the ramp that were opening up.

| A quartet of Sluissi honor guards awaited Senator Fowlkes as he disembarked his shuttle. While many, especially humans, tended to put focus on high numbers of guardsmen, whether well-trained or not, to impress others, the Sluissi did not tend to lean so much in that way. True, a Sluissi warrior had many advantages over bipedal humanoids but that was not the point Domon wished to convey with such a small retinue. No, Fowlkes' visit was an informal one and as such, there was no need to roll out the massive red carpet and holojournalists. Fowlkes would be escorted to Domon's office with little fanfare, keeping it simple as the Senator of Sluis Van preferred. Once in the office though, a Sluissi adjutant would offer Fowlkes drinks or food suitable to the human digestive track and human tastes.

| Once he got out of the shuttle, he was greeted by Sluissi honor guards. His own bodyguards came with him as well. Most Senators and someone with a lot of money does have a tendency to get as many guards as possible in order to protect themselves. Tremaine would like to think differently, and he actually does. Instead of having dozens of guards walking with him, he actually had two. He believed in small numbers for different reasons. Tremaine was a soldier himself, a veteran of the Clone Wars. That helped out a little bit, but the real reason was that he believed the smaller the numbers are, better operated they will be. That, and they'll be able to escape much faster and easier should they get in some sort of trouble. Eventually, he'd be led into Senator Domon's office with no one to remind everyone else of who Tremaine is. That was actually nice for a change. Tremaine was a soldier, and he isn't the sort that likes unnecessary attention. It was nice to have a moment of sensing normalcy. The Telosian would thank the adjutant for the offer, and decided to simply go for a drink. He'd also wonder if the Sluissi Senator would pop in anytime soon. It'd be an interesting experience for Tremaine to finally speak with a Non-Human Senator. That doesn't mean he looked down on those that aren't humans, just that Non-Human politicians don't usually speak out much nowadays.

| Domon had needed to step out, or slither out, as one might correctly say, from his office several minutes before Fowlkes arrived. Some of the finishing touches were being made to Sluis Van's new flagship and Domon, whose family held some considerable sway in the shipyards, had asked his opinion on naming the vessel that would be the pride and joy of the Sluis Van navy. As of yet, Domon had not decided definitively upon a name. Returning from his brief duty, he found Fowlkes in his office and moved to greet him warmly. "Senator Fowlkes, a pleasure that you could drop by my humble world. We are honored by your presence here. It is not often that human senators wish to come speak with those of us who are not of your species."

| Just as he was about to take a drink, Senator Domon entered his own office. The Telosian would get up and extend his hand to shake the Sluissi. Once Domon spoke of how uncommon human politicians have come to speak with someone different. He nodded, "Indeed, it's true that nowadays not many humans want to interact with someone other than their own species. But I am not like them, I am different from them. Human High Culture doesn't apply to me. Besides, some of the best people I've known aren't humans. I believe all sentient beings should be equal, whether it's humans or not." Tremaine decided to clear his throat before speaking once again, "I apologize if I seem to be rambling. It isn't often I do a such thing. When it does happen, it usually is about something I'm passionate about." He just realized that it was the first time he had opened himself up about the errors of the Empire, toward someone that isn't Senator Thanatos or anyone within his secret, and organized resistance.
