I, Simon Levi, Imperial Sector Governor and Moff of the Tammuz Sector do adopt the following proclamation. Ribaldequin Augustus, Imperial Governor of Deralia, has informed me of the proven loyalties of the people of Deralia, and their willingness to comply with all Imperial rules and regulations, as well as of the Sector and Planetary edicts issued by their Governors.
This loyalty is not undeserving of reward, and in exchange for this dutiful service, I am pleased to announce the withdrawal of the requirement for Labour Corps service to a much lower level, now requiring one day's service a year to be served in the service of the State, rather than seven.
Also, we are well minded to allow those who feel that their Labour in the Labour Corps is somehow unfair a degree of conciliation and leniency, and announce the requirements will now change so that citizens will only be liable for Labour Corps service once they are demonstrably unable to maintain a human standard of living. They may, however, participate voluntarily and sign on for one year contracts which will pay a small stipend on completion.
Having had concerns expressed to me about the absence of King Deralius I have been asked by your Governor to act in seeking a desirable outcome for you, and the restoration of your King to his rightful throne, which it appears he has abandoned. Should the King remain absent for a further twenty one days I will petition the Senate to introduce a caretaker government for Deralia until the King's return to office.
Also, in order to thank you for your contributions, I have (after consultation) decided to cut the sales tax on all items from 17.5% to 15% for the next six months, so that all members of society are able to benefit from the prosperity that the Sector has enjoyed over my tenure thus far.
Should economics allow, I will be aiming to keep this cut in place into the future and pursue a policy of rewarding the worlds in the Sector which are loyal and contribute well to the Imperial Treasury, while sternly chiding any insolence or attempt to destabilise Imperial policy in the Sector.
