| ((Okay, posting now.)) Added (17 Jul 2011, 6:03 PM) --------------------------------------------- Kane's "slash" at Animus, such as it was, wasn't really intended to hit him but, rather, to force him out of his defensive stance and open up some vulnerability or other. Animus had exceeded his expectations; he was too greedy, like so many Sith, and he tried to do too much at once. To roll around Kane when he'd been advancing toward Animus at a slow, ponderous pace—and to do so before Kane would notice and adjust accordingly—was far too ambitious, requiring at least 2 and possibly 3 separate rolling motions. Kane, who hadn't put much (if any) strength behind his slash, easily held his lightsaber in place and stood still, watching with amusement at the Inquisitor attempted this intricate maneuver (and turning quite simply to remain facing him throughout).
Animus would be on his second or perhaps third roll, ruining his immaculate robes on the greasy floor, when Kane would simply deliver a powerful kick to his side. If it connected (and it was hard to see how it wouldn't, with Animus in mid-roll) it was sure to crack a rib or two. Having done this, Kane would simply take a step back, still facing Animus, and deliver a potent Force Push to him—intended to turn his roll into a tumble and, hopefully, cause Animus to lose his grip on his still deactivated lightsaber.

| He didn't care for one second that he got his robes really dirty. His only concern was to subdue the uh...experienced Jedi. However, he was still young. He was only twenty-seven years old, youth does have a tendency to try and do too much at once in order to show off the ability. Despite his Clone Wars experience, sometimes being ambitious and listening to your lustiness isn't the best thing in the galaxy. It proved right when the Jedi Master placed a kick onto one of his ribs.
"Ahhh!" He shouted out as his rolls was stopped. Indeed, a rib of his was cracked. At the very least, he could feel the effects of a cracked rib. Then another roll would begin, one that isn't caused by his own account. It was the old man's doing. The next thing Animus felt would be more pain. An impact would be placed upon his ribs, an impact equal that of a Force push. Indeed, it would send him into a bit of a tumble. The dark jedi really rolled some distance away from the Jedi Master. He finally came to a stop.
His robes would be filled with more grease, and several places on his robe looked torn. He upgraded from a cracked rib to one cracked and bruised rib, another one simply bruised, and a few scars all over his body. There was also a few scars on his face. He stopped rolling, landing on his stomach. The Inquisitor groaned loudly, gasping for air a little bit. He tightened the grip with his left hand, only to realize it was empty-handed. By now, the old man probably took it.
Animus groaned once again, being slow to get up. His right hand favoring his side, the Inquisitor would slowly build up the Force inside the palms of his left hand. Once it had been built up, it would be launched from the palm. Lightning bolts were heading toward the Jedi Master, hoping to keep him at bay for at least moments.

| By the time Animus had recovered himself, Kane had walked toward his crumpled form at a leisurely pace and closed enough of the distance to bring one of his boots down on the Inquisitor's lightsaber. (He also used this time to clear his mind and muster his ability in the Force in preparation for his next use of it). He picked up the lightsaber and studied it absently. "I told them you'd never make Knight," he said, "And you're not much of a Sith, either." He felt the hate in Animus and had no hesitation to add insult to injury—because hate didn't make you powerful, it made you foolish and impulsive. This was ironic coming from Kane, though; the Jedi Master looked upon Animus with ten thousands years of hatred of the Jedi for the Sith in his wizened eyes.
But he didn't look scornfully upon the beaten and bloodied Inquisitor for long before he regained himself and sent a blast of "Force lightning" in his direction. Kane, who still held his lightsaber before him, had no difficulty absorbing its energy like so:
He stood quite unaffected by the attack and closed his eyes, mustering the Force within him and focusing it on the tools on the hood of the landspeeder nearby. First one, then another, then another were hurled at Animus, who was undoubtedly deep in concentration. Whether Animus needed a reminder that a hydrospanner is sharp, a Moobian torsion valve is blunt, and a plastifibe agitator is heavy, he was about to have one anyway.

| Meanwhile, Vax was still in a slow-motion free-fall/run waiting to get to the garage. It was rather Matrix-esque with his cloak flying out behind him. As he slowly fell-ran, he considered the art of crochet and considered taking it up. Sadly though, he had neither needles nor yarn upon his person. And so, he continued on.

| The Inquisitor would notice that the Jedi Master's eyes were filled with hatred. He knew it all too well. That was in his very own eyes when he slew his former Master a decade prior to the present day. He tries to intensify his concentration on the Force Lightning, and that efforts would prove fruitless. His own hatred and training of the dark side arts couldn't save him from getting beaten up by an old man. A skilled old Jedi, that is. His concentration and the failed attack on the Jedi was broken by a counterattack. One that would certainly add insult to his injury.
Usually, it was a Sith that does the taunting during the fight with a Jedi. This time around, it was the other way around. The dark jedi wasn't in position to gloat, especially not when he's getting beaten up. He opted not to say anything. This is meaningless when a counterattack by the old man was already put in motion. The Inquisitor couldn't do anything to stop this move. "Ahhh!" Another painful shout came out of his mouth as the hydrospanner would cut the upper part of his left leg. The Moobian torsion would hit his right shoulder, not enough to get through but enough to cause a small bruise. The plastifibe agitator would barely graze his left arm, but it was heavy enough to impact somewhat.
The Inquisitor moved back, leaning against the wall. All the momentum was swinging to the old man, which increases the odds in favor of him. He decided he needed to find a way to regain his composure. Keeping himself leaned against the wall for a moment there, he would build up the Force inside the palms of his right hand this time around. After a few moments, it was launched. However, it wasn't an attack. The Jedi Master would feel a grip tightening around the dark jedi's lightsaber, as the young man was attempting to pull it back into his hands. Animus knew he's crippled, yes, but the best way to defeat the Jedi isn't through the Force. It's through a lightsaber fight.

| Kane felt the tug at the Inquisitor's lightsaber with his mind before he felt it in his hand. His grip on the weapon instinctively tightened, and he planted his feet to better keep his balance. Presumably, having encountered stubborn resistance from Kane, Animus would pull harder. Then the Jedi Master had a malicious idea—he let the hilt of the lightsaber slip far enough from his grasp so that the weapon was facing Animus, then switched it on and released it completely. The lightsaber, now activated, would zoom directly at Animus like a spear crimsoned with blood, and do so at a much greater speed than he would have anticipated. With Animus beaten and bloodied, his concentration damaged, he would be wiser to attempt to dodge it than rely on his command of the Force to slow it down—command of the Force that, at this moment, must have been unsteady.
The Jedi Master broke his silence and laughed, a spiteful laugh. If necessary, he would apply the Force ever so slightly to make sure the Inquisitor's lightsaber stayed on (in case it had an automatic shut off, as some lightsabers did). But having used the Force so scarcely in this fight (compared to Animus, at least) his mastery of it should be intact enough for another insult to Animus, and potentially a deadly one. The door of the garage was open and the floor covered in sand, as well as grease. Kane closed his eyes, clenched his fist, and swept his arm widely in the Inquisitor's direction—it was another Force Push, but this one intended to send a "handful" of sand at Animus (likely into his eyes). Considering the sand on the floor was mixed with grease and grime, this was a "dirty trick" indeed.
Meanwhile, Castor would find that so intent had he been in his contemplation of crochet that he had been inattentive to where he was going, ran in a long and circuitous loop around much of Mos Eisley, and ended up back where his speeder had crashed some moments before. "Crap!" one might say under the circumstances. His error being apparent, Castor would presumably set out once more this time in the direction he knew to be the one that the Force was beckoning him to.

| Animus would try to intensify his concentration a little bit so he could steal his lightsaber back. At first, he thought it worked. Then he realized it wasn't his doing, it was the Jedi's. He didn't want to dodge, especially with that cracked and bruised ribs of his. The dark jedi figured he had no choice. He did a small roll onto the floor, barely dodging the lightsaber just in time. "Ahh!" He shouted that out, but it was less loud. It happened when he got to a knee, feeling the effects of his injured ribs.
The Inquisitor was about to attempt to use the Force to draw his lightsaber back to him, since it would be close in proximity. That didn't happen, however. The sand, along with grease and grime, was blown toward the young man. In addition to covering his robe in sand, it did get into his eyes. "Ahh!" His vision would become blurry. Because of the dirt inside his eyes, it was getting harder and harder to see. He went from a stance of a knee on the ground, to both knees on the ground. It was becoming more and more apparent that he wouldn't win this fight. After a while of rubbing his eyes, it didn't clear up. Despite feeling the pain in his eyes, he gave up on rubbing.
He gave up on the fight as well, keeping his knees on the ground and his head bent down so that his blurred eyes was looking at the ground. The next moment, his head shook lightly and his eyes would close. The old man would be able to see that Inquisitor Animus was really giving up. For the first time in the past decade, his hatred for the Jedi couldn't save him in a duel. "Your hatred has served you well. Mine has not. You win. Go ahead and strike me down."

| By the time Animus had gathered himself, he would find that Kane had closed the distance between them, retrieved the Inquisitor's lightsaber and now stood ominously over his crumpled body. "'Go ahead and strike you down?'" Kane repeated, a flash of loathing in his glare as he stood over the beaten and bloodied Inquisitor. "So it's the quick and easy path again, is it? You'd rather give in to the Dark Side than follow the more demanding path of the Jedi. And now you'd rather die than continue to fight the foe that you and your clones came here to destroy, in all of your hate and ignorance? No," he said, shaking his head and holding the hilt of the Inquisitor's lightsaber before him. He let it go, the weapon coming to rest in the sand beside Animus. "I won't let you off that easy."
The Jedi Master delivered a devastating kick to the Inquisitor's ribs with his heavy boot. Then another, then another. "You chose this path!" he would say, "This is where it's led you!" Again and again he would kick Animus forcefully about the ribs, showcasing the formidable strength that Kane possessed despite his years. For Animus, the pain would be unbearable until, finally, the Jedi Master stopped. He engaged his lightsaber once more, the azure blade blazing to life again. "Pathetic," he said, raising the blade. "Then as it was," he said, his tone sounding practically demented, "So again it shall be." He brought his lightsaber down upon the Inquisitor's mechanical arm (perhaps even as it was reaching for his lightsaber in the sand, if Animus so chose), intending to sever it cleanly as it had been by the Inquisitor's own master a decade ago.

| The Inquisitor would let a couple of heavy gasps escape from his mouth, listening in to the fugitive's words. While listening, he placed his left hand on his chest. The dark jedi was about to build up enough strength to utter a few words, when the Jedi kicked him really hard in the chest. His hand flew into the air, as Animus was forcefully pinned onto the ground. Pain continues to increase, further battering his own body. Kick pressed hard against his chest after another. The kicks would continue to pile up. Which, of course, make the pain unbearable. This also indicate he wasn't able to let out any screams. He didn't have any strength to. Instead, loud groaning and moaning would be heard throughout the beatings.
The kicking would stop, as the agent of the Empire kept his eyes trained on the rather large man. He was in no condition to fight anymore. Everything around him began to look blurry, Even the Jedi in front of him looks a bit blurry. Still, he was able to hear the words clearly. Animus would attempt to reach for the lightsaber when he heard and saw a lightsaber humming to life. It was a futile attempt, though. Just as he reached for his own lightsaber, he felt the same feeling he had a decade prior to this day. The feeling of a detachment of his arm, only this time it was different. It was a mechanical arm.
The last thing Animus saw was a blurry vision of the Jedi fugitive. His body had undergo extreme pains, one that's probably too much for one to endure. Eventually, the body forced his brain to shut down. Slowly, he saw his blurry vision disappear and go right into the darkness. Animus had been rendered unconscious, left at the mercy of the large man standing in front of him.

| Vax finally hit the ground at a dead sprint, his feet carrying him down this alley and that until finally he halted before a hovel of sorts. Here, here were the Force emanations, one blazing bright and the dark somewhat diminished. He could feel no massive flux within the Force; if there had been a battle, it was likely over. Approaching with caution, Vax brought his lightsaber to hand and moved towards the entryway.
