The Senator was dressed more like a businessman than a Senator. He wasn't one for fancy clothing that many of the Imperial politicians like to wear. Tremaine was more casual, wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with a black pant. There weren't any tie, and the top button weren't attached. The purpose of this was not to make him look like a uptight, tight-lipped type of person. Although, there were a black jacket going over the shirt. He wore a pair of black shoes, but they weren't shiny. They looked plain, which fits his appearance. The Telosian could have chosen to wear his Telosian military uniform with a such pride. He decided against it, because he didn't want to make himself look like the Moffs. Tremaine wanted to make his appearance look like the people could relate to him, which maintains with his current platform within the Imperial Senate.

The Telosian was given the number of Senator Fitzgerald's office. It was around lunchtime, and he didn't mind missing lunch this time around. Sometimes he eat lunches, other times he doesn't. He believed meeting with a possible ally in the Senate was much more important than satisfying his appetite on this day. It wasn't that far from his own office, really. Which means it wasn't all that difficult to find the office. Once he got there, he didn't see a secretary or someone working for the Raltiir Senator present. There were no evidence of an office desk. This led him to assume that Senator Fitzgerald doesn't have any secretaries. Tremaine grinned a little bit, because he doesn't often see politicians without secretaries. The Telosian has two, but he considered them more of messengers. One is an aide to Senator Fowlkes. Another is an aide to the mischievous side of Tremaine: Leader of the secret rebellion.

He proceeded to head for the door, but it was open. Tremaine went ahead and knocked on the door lightly. His eyes looked into the office, and awaits a reply.

Indeed, the waiting room was bereft a secretary. As soon as he was sworn in, Fitzgerald had hit the ground running. He'd been so busy that he hadn't hired a secretary, although one glance at his office itself would reveal he desperately needed one—boxes filled with flimplast documents and datacards were piled on the floor, some of which Fitzgerald had rifled through and left open. Documents covered most of the surfaces in the room, too. Especially the spartan desk he inherited when he moved into the office; on it, flimplast competed for space with a datapad, a sculped marble name plate with "Eli Fitzgerald, Senator and Son of Ralltiir" inscribed on it, and a mug of coffee. Indeed, the first thing Tremaine would notice, even before the mess of the place, was the smell of coffee that wafted out the door and into the waiting room. Fitzgerald was an energetic man, made all the more so by the prolific amount of coffee he drank in the course of a day. A small coffee machine he'd brought with him Ralltiir was almost always running, as it was now.

Behind the desk, like so many Senate offices, was a large viewport looking out on Coruscant's majestic Senate district. In between stood Fitzgerald, on his feet and with his sleeves rolled up as he finished speaking with someone on a comlink. When he saw Tremaine, he waved for him to enter and help himself to one of the chairs opposite his desk. "Can you sent it to me?" he asked, into his comlink. "Yes, that'll be fine, thanks. Listen, I have to go. I'll give you a call back once I've read through it. Okay, talk to you later. And thanks again." He clicked the comlink off and dropped it into his shirt pocket, then smiled apologetically to Tremaine. "Sorry about that, Senator," he said, reaching across the desk to shake his hand, then sitting down in his chair with some reluctance (he preferred to think on his feet). "How are you?" he asked, cordially, "It's good to meet you. And I'm sorry, too, about what you're going through in the Senate today. What can I do for you?"

Indeed, the first thing Tremaine had noticed was the stench of coffee. By then, he had figured Senator Fitzgerald was a coffee drinker. Perhaps a frequent one at most. He was quick to dismiss that notion, though as it wasn't important. The next thing he had noticed all the documents piling up on his desk, and all the boxes that were laying on the floor spreading throughout the office. Boy, Senator Fitzgerald wasn't kidding when he said his office was such a mess. The Telosian had expected a few spots here and there. Nevertheless, he didn't mind the mess.

The Senator had such a mess when he first came to Coruscant, of which was one of the reasons why he hired Levy Roone to be his aide. When Tremaine was motioned to take a seat, he went ahead and walked into the office. He never liked sitting, he does his best thinking walking around. Tremaine was a soldier of the Clone Wars, and at heart. He will always consider himself as a soldier, after all. Soldiers doesn't have a tendency to sit around and think. The Senator walked over to shake hands with Senator Fitzgerald, shaking his head a little bit. "It is alright. We are politicians, which means something always comes up." He chuckled lightly. The Senator took a seat with the very same reluctance that had appeared on Fitzgerald's body language.

"Well, thank you for your concerns. I'm keeping my head up high, despite all the accusations and a Censure that were made toward me by certain Senators. Anyway, it's nice to meet you too." He cleared his throat, feeling his throat a little dry. "First thing you should know about me is, I am a soldier. I was a soldier, and I always will be. So that means I will get right to the point. Every politician has agendas. But when there are common agendas, politicians usually form an alliance. Like Senators Ordan, Oswaldt, and North, for example. I believe we have similar agendas, and that is to voice out the concerns of sentient beings throughout the galaxy. We have been attacked for that, for voicing out opinions of the people. To ensure that people get their voices heard, I believe we should look out for each other. To start off on a good foot, as a token of goodwill, Telos IV is very interested in establishing relations with Raltiir."

The Telosian would stop speaking, allowing Senator Fitzgerald some time to ponder and to answer to his offer. It was a sudden one, obviously. However, Tremaine knew at times like today's session in the Senate, it's critical for Senators with common agendas to form alliances. Which was the reason why he had sent out invitations to Senators Kuriyoshi of the Mandate and Ray of Dantooine.

"Yes, 'the O's,'" Fitzgerald shook his head, referring to Senators Oswaldt, Ordan, and Oriel—shreebirds of a feather, and Senator North as well (although his name didn't lend itself as well to the alliteration, the acronym "NOOO" did happen to describe, nicely, the exasperation with which many Senators regarded this featherbrained foursome). Fitzgerald knew, though, that the O's weren't the problem, but rather a symptom of it, The problem was the submissive mood of the Senate that allowed scoundrels like them to do what they do. He had been working to change this mood, and so had Tremaine; but Tremaine had gone too far, too fast—predictably, the O's had at him. He felt bad for Tremaine, but learned a lesson from him, too. Not too fast. "It's not easy to speak one's mind, sometimes," he mused, "But I'm glad you're holding up."

He wanted to support Tremaine, but knew he had to be careful how he did so. A partnership between Ralltiir and Telos was one way. "And yes," he nodded in agreement, "I'm for free trade. If there are any trade barriers between Ralltiir and Telos, I'll support removing them. Oh," he interrupted himself, "I forgot to ask if you want some coffee?" He was indeed new at this 'Senator thing.'

Indeed, Tremaine's intentions was to slowly change the Senate from within. Very slowly. It wasn't that easy having patience when there were fools like Oswaldt belittling the Non-Humans, North flat out accusing people of being a rebel. Ordan and Oriel weren't as extreme, but still they can be annoying sometimes. Tremaine had acted on an impulse, a strong feeling to fight back. He learned from this mistake. The Telosian promised himself to practice patience at all times, no matter how idiotic the "quad-uo" had been acting in the Senate.

Tremaine was thankful for the support of Queen/Senator Cerra, as they had been on good terms recently. He also understood why his good friend Lana had voted in favor of the Censure. They had spoken about this in private, and Tremaine was the one that encouraged her to make the decision. It was for the safety of the rebellion that he and Lana had been conducting for some time now. He didn't want the Empire to get suspicious of Senator Thanatos. He had hoped for Senator Kuriyoshi's and Senator Fitzgerald's support, but he would understand if they didn't want to. While he would try to make friends in the Senate, he knew they would put their worlds before themselves. Tremaine wouldn't dream of forcing them to support him, and that is what a pro-democratic politician would do.

The Senator nodded at the newly-elected Senator, "Indeed, sometimes it is hard to when the Empire are putting clamps on everything." Tremaine cleared his throat for a moment before speaking. "Like I said, I'm a soldier. Most soldiers keep their heads up high." The Telosian looked out the window, seeing the view of the heavy traffics that would make of the Imperial Center. These people needs to have more freedoms, he thought to himself. He also knew it would be very difficult to change things with Emperor Palpatine in control. That was the reason why he was well prepared to take a baby step at a time, to change one little thing at a time.

"I would love some, thank you." Referring to the coffee that Senator Fitzgerald had kindly offered to him. He was never much of a coffee drinker, but he felt like taking it to get in some extra energy he might need for the Senate. "Let's start small. Let's start with trading foods and medicine, then work our way up. Sounds good?"

Fitzgerald stood, making his way to the coffee machine as he listened to Tremaine. He chose a mug at random from the 3 or 4 he had beside the machine, this one imprinted with the spartan logo of the Ralltiir Consolidated Marble company, and filled it with coffee he had originally intended for himself, nodding to Tremaine as he did so. There was only so much he could do, though, regarding trade. As the Senator of Ralltiir and not a leader of its government, it wasn't his job to set trade policy (he didn't think Ralltiir's government should be terribly involved in trade policy either, for that matter), but he could pass the word along to sympathetic ears in Cambrielle. "I'm sure companies on Ralltiir can help to fulfill whatever demand exists on Telos," he answered, somewhat diplomatically, "Especially if that demand is for minerals or technology. But I'm afraid you'd have to discuss it with those companies." He handed Tremaine the mug of coffee and then leaned, half-sitting, on the edge of his desk. "Hope black is all right," he said, nodding to the coffee, "I've never known anything else."

The Telosian nodded lightly, "I guess that's as good of a start as any." It wasn't his job to set trade policy as well, but Tremaine had a tendency to make trade agreements with other planets for Telos IV. Since the man was traveling a lot, he thought he'd help Telos IV out on a lot of his travels. He would continue to make contributions to his home world for as long as he lives. That is how loyal he is to Telos IV. Even as a soldier of the Clone Wars, he set out to defend the planet the best he can. When Senator Fitzgerald came over to hand him a mug of coffee, he proceeded on grabbing it gently. "Thank you. Black's fine with me."

The Senator took a sip out of the coffee mug. Not bad, he thought to himself. "Fortunately, my planet specializes in technology and tourism. Telos IV would need materials that we could use to continue thriving our technology. Especially agricultural and ecological technology. What would your planet want in return? That is, if we have something of interest to yours."

Fitzgerald had tried to emphasize that, while it was a part of his job to facilitate trade with other worlds, it wasn't his job to determine trade policy. This was mostly determined by the persuasions of the free market anyway. He had confided to Senator Fowlkes his opposition to trade barriers, but other than this there wasn't much he could do for him. He reiterated this, answering the Senator somewhat diplomatically. He tried not to repeat himself. "Our worlds have much in common," he told Tremaine, "And I have no doubt Ralltiir and Telos IV will continue to be fine trading partners. I do feel, though, that the specifics are best worked out by our respective trade bureaus. There's not much I can do for you at the moment aside from passing along your interest to all the right ears in Cambrielle." His gaze drifted to the steam rising gently from Tremaine's coffee cup. "Is there anything else you'd like to discuss?" he added.

The Senator nodded at the other Senator. Fitzgerald was right, and it was good to see a fellow Imperial Senator allow people in their planetary government to do the job of trading with other worlds. The fact that the Senator of Ralltiir had done this meant that he believes in freedom...somewhat. Tremaine would like to discuss something else with him, but certainly not this time. Especially not until he feels he could trust Fitzgerald. Only time will tell whether the man would truly choose his own homeworld over the Empire.

The Telosian immediately took a sip out of the cup, casually getting off the chair. "No, at least not right now." The reason he said that was because he had no doubt they'd be meeting each other on the Senate issues from time to time. He'd kindly place the unfinished coffee cup onto the table, "Thank you for taking your time and have a meeting with me. I'll show myself out the door so you can return to your duties." Tremaine would simply turn around and walk out of the office.

He got on the comlink and told one of his aides to prepare his shuttle for the trip to the Cronese Mandate, where he was to meet with Senator Kuriyoshi.
