| Ja’nar would eat and drink, but mostly just water, she knew better to drink the never ending wine at dinners like this. She would listen to him speak of his life, learning all that she can about the man that sat before her. She was quiet about her life, saying very little about it. What was there to say? To recount those memories that she worked so hard to forget or suppress long enough to get something accomplished, to keep herself functional on a daily basis. She would notice the night wear on, as Mackey drifted in and out of consciousness beside her. She would smile as she rose to her feet “Yes, rest is a must for the grand adventure I’m sure I will find in the morning, should I wait for you to accompany me?” she would gently take his arm, as Mackey had woken up and would follow behind the pair.

| Darres walked slowly with her as he looked at Queen Cerra. "I'll be up early in the morning. If you wish, I can send someone to your room to wake you before I come to get you." He smiled as he approached her room. Standing in front of it with her as he took her hand. "I do hope you find the bed comfortable for sleep and that you rest well tonight." He placed a kiss on the back of her hand before bowing his head as he let her hand go. Watching her step into the room before he walked down the hall towards his room. Turning down the corner as he walked to his room and stepped inside. Closing the door behind him as he got ready for sleep. Darres stretched a little before he pulled his shirt off. Scars on his back showing his injuries as he set his coat to the side for it to be washed before he slid into his bed and lay back to rest.

| Ja’nar would smile “Thank you that would be wonderful” she would say softly as she slipped into her room with Mackey. She would sigh softly as she closed the door behind her and slipped off her shoes and moves across the carpeted floor towards the bed as she moved to unzip her dress. Mackey would come over and help her, his large hand delicately holding on the small piece of metal pulling it down, exposing what looked like the perfect flesh of her back. He would gently rub her shoulder, as he pulls off a small layer of synthetic skin that hid the scares of her past from everyone. Only one person in the senate had ever seen them and oddly enough that man wasn’t even the father of her child. Not that it mattered in the end. Her boy didn’t need a father, he had Mackey who was known as ‘Grandpa’ and his two uncles, sure they made a dysfunctional family, but it was a family full of love. “Thank you” she would whisper softly as he went into his room to rest a bit. Ja’nar would slip out of the dress fully before slipping into a silk nightgown. She would sit on the edge of the bed, her body slouched over slightly as she flips through the numbers on her comm. and calls home. The conversation was short but a smile to her face; she could see and hear her little one. He seemed to be doing much better now; perhaps Milliardo had come up with some miracle cure, though she knew better than that. The sickness came and went as it pleased though she was glad she would not need to worry about him tonight. One less thing to plague her sleep. She would place the comm. on the table beside the bed as she swung her feet up onto it and snuggled in under the covers. Sleep would over take her in only a few minutes. Her body was exhausted but the far reaches of her mind was not. It was working overtime this evening as the nightmares took hold of her once more. A nightmare free night was a rare occasion for Ja’nar though it tends to happen more when she was in strange places, but something about this place wouldn’t allow for a peaceful nights rest. No something triggered those memories, the memories she tried to forget every day. She would have a few moments of peaceful rest, before they began.
**She was running, running down a hallway in the palace back on Garos, she couldn’t see correctly, the world was fuzzy to her as she ripped a needle from her arm throwing it to the ground. Everything was getting blurry and it was getting harder to run, to make her feet and legs move in front of her. Her eyes felt heavy as she slammed into the floor, two pairs of large hands grabbing her and pulling her long the floor. She was still conscious; she could see the blurs of white marble, gold, and silver. It didn’t matter what happened next, she remembered another prick of a needle than nothing, nothing but the dark and cold. She would wake in her bedroom, her clothes scattered on the floor around the bed, she had something wrong, she could hear him, him yelling at her, “You don’t say no!” he spit at her, as she rolled over, only to feel the sting of his hand against her cheek. How many times had she been told not to say no? Too many to count really. She was dragged out of the bed**
Ja’nar began to toss and turn in the soft bed that Verilia had given her little murmurs leaving her.
**It wasn’t her fault! She was thrown against a low table near the fireplace within the room, a grunt leaving her as she hit it. The world still was not right to her. She couldn’t focus on anyone; she could barely make out his form standing in front of her, his hands grabbing her face. “What do we not say?” he asked. Ja’nar would try to gain her voice back as she squeaked out “No” though it was only a whisper. He heard it and smiled “That’s right” he would reply back to her as she was held down. The next thing Ja’nar knew was an intense stinging on her back. She would pull against the two holding her against the table, as she screamed “No” the word she was not to say ever again, again she felt it, the barbs biting into the delicate skin on her back, her warm blood springing to the surface the new long gashes**
Ja’nar’s tossing and turning would become more violent as she tries to break free, a loud shrill scream coming from her as her hands grip onto the covers around her, her eyes closed tightly as the nightmare truly takes hold. She could feel herself becoming lost in it. Reliving it as if it was actually happening again. As if she was that young woman trapped in a world that was not meant for her, a world of harsh realities and what women really were to so many, nothing but property. Something to be used, beaten, and abused. Her screams of agony, pure and true would echo throughout the chambers that Verilia had given to her.
Within seconds of the first scream, before it was even over, Mackey was out of his bed moving swiftly into the adjoining room where Ja’nar was asleep. He would quickly move to wake her up, sitting on the edge of the bed, as he shook her “Wake up little princess” he whispered to her, as he scooped her up into his arms, holding her close to his body, rocking her gently, as he smoothed out her hair, “shhh” Ja’nar would wake up, sobbing against him, her whole body trembling against his. He knew he could not bring much comfort to Ja’nar during times like these. But he could usually calm her down after awhile. “It’s okay, it wasn’t real, just a bad dream” he would continue to whisper to her until Ja’nar fell back to sleep but he wouldn’t leave her, he knew better. So he sat there, staring into the darkness, thinking of his own shortcomings. It was his fault all of this happened to her, he had been sent away on a mission, more like to his death but that hadn’t happened. But it had taken him years to get back to Garos, to find out what was happening the child, the princess he had been charged with protecting since she was 5. He has promised her mother to keep her safe no matter what and that hadn’t happened.

| It wasnt even morning yet when Darres quickly shot up from his bed, nightmares of the clone wars as he rubbed his head. Looking to his left arm as he moved the fingers, his other hand coming up. He grabbed the synthetic-flesh and pulled, the pieces tearing to reveal the metal beneath. He looked at the workings of the false arm, the wiring and various parts moving it all. He moved his fingers as he heard the the wiring of the pieces moving in unison. His eyes on it as he sat up, pulling off the rest of the false flesh from his arm as he stood in front of the blinds. His hand coming up and touching the metal as he shook his head. He wore his scars proudly as he pushed the blinds open, letting in the dim light as the sun was beginning to rise over the horizon.
Darres walked over to the cabinet as he pushed the doors open and pulled out a new set of clothing. Pulling on the coat as he got dressed. When he was ready he walked towards his door as he stepped out. Walking down the hall towards Queen Cerra's room. He stood in front of it for a moment as he knocked on the door lightly and stood there quietly.

| Ja’nar was awake; another nightmare had woken her hours ago though they were not as bad as the first one. She had found her way out of Mackey’s arms without waking him and had gotten ready for her adventure. She would leave the old man resting, figuring she would be safe enough Verilia. It would give them a chance to speak a bit more freely, not that Mackey really cared about what was said as long as it didn’t hurt her, he didn’t care. She hadn’t been able to put the synthetic skin on her back this morning, it usually took the help of someone else to do it since the piece had to fit just right over her entire back, so this morning she decided to dress a bit more casual than normal. She would peel off the nightgown and jump into the shower, allowing the hot water to run over her body, she would get out and dry off then get dressed for the day. She had chosen to wear a pair of dark blue denim pants and a light powder blue sweater that would completely cover her back, and keep her warm on her adventure, though perhaps a bit too warm depending on the day’s weather. She would remove the sweater and put on a polo shirt under it just in case before putting it back on, and goes to write Mackey a note leaving it on the bedside table as she picks up her comm. unit clipping it to her belt. She would place a small blaster there as well. Just in case though she was sure she wouldn’t need it. She would turn to look to the door as she heard the knock and would move to it, slipping out quickly, her hair was almost dry and was neatly braided into a single braid down her back. “Good morning” she says softly as she closes the door behind her, so not to wake Mackey. “Ready for an adventure?” she asks softly. Ja’nar enjoyed exploring more than anything else and this was new territory for her. “I could barely sleep last night in anticipation of today’s adventure and exploration.” Alright that was a lie, but he should be unable to tell it was one and it would explain if she was a bit slower from lack of sleep.

| Darres gave a smile as she closed the door behind her, noting that the bodyguard that had come with her wasnt right on her heels. He nodded as he listened to her reason for the obvious look of lack of sleep. Noting the dark circles under her eyes as he smiled and took her arm, escorting the Queen to the waiting speeder. Of course there were his own men waiting too. Not a large number, yet more than enough keep the two safe as they all headed on their way. "Is there anywhere you'd like to go." Darres questioned, setting his left arm up as he showed the metal of the false hand. A slight breeze running over it, yet he made no reaction, and felt none from his left arm. He looked to it quickly before looking back to the Queen and wondered if there was anything shed like to do on Gall.
"I would suggest seeing the Cliff Wampas, yet that would be very dangerous. I dont think I could allow you to be that close to danger, even with these guards." Darres sat back in his seat as he listened carefully, hoping that she wouldnt want to see what he just spoke of.

| Ja’nar would smile as she slipped into the speeder, her hands moving to pull up the top of her black boots a bit, “well I haven’t really given it any thought. I figured I would just wig it.” She would glance to him once again, smiling brightly. Her whole face seemed to light up, her normally pale cheeks, flushing with a bit of color, her shiny white teeth gleaming, and a sparkle in her eyes, a sparkle that most could not resist unless you were a Senator it seemed. “Cliff Wampas? Dangerous? You do realize you have just sold that to me, correct? I really think we should go see them and I am sure I will be safe with someone such as yourself” she would say this as she scooted a bit closer to him, wrapping her arms around his. Smiling up to him with a darling smile, one that Mackey knew far too well.

| Darres let a small laugh out as he looked to the young woman, her eyes bright now from the moment he spoke of the dangerous Cliff Wampas. "Well, I'll make sure to bring you back in one piece." He motioned to the driver who nodded, the speeder heading towards a high look out point that would over look the canyon that the Wampas lived in. When they approached it, the guards got off of their speeder bikes before they secured the area. Nodding once it was safe as Darres got up and out of the speeder, helping Janar out as he walked with her to the small look out.
"Here, you'll need these." He handed the young woman a set of electronic binoculars as he pointed out the cliff face to her. "Take a look there, at the cave opening."

| Ja’nar would smile to him as she kept her arms wrapped around his, it was nice to be near someone other than one of her guards. “Well I am sure my people would be pleased to know that, and if you do not. I do believe you may have a war on your hands, I mean this would be a very sneaky way to assassinate me.” She would smile to him playfully as he helps her out of the speeder. Most of the time she was on her own getting out a speeder, no one helped her anymore, mainly because they knew it would only lead to more issues for them later on.
Ja’nar would walk with him, taking the binoculars from him “Thank you” she says softly as she raises them to her eyes, focusing them in on the cave opening but lowers them for a moment “I thought we were going to get closer to them.” She would bring them to her eyes once more as she tries to spot one of the wampas.

| As she brought the binoculars back up a couple of Wampas slowly lumbered out of their cave as Darres spoke up. "It would be, yet I have no intention or thought of doing such a thing. This time of the year though it is best to stay back here, rather than the normal looking area. Many of the Wampa have already marked their mating territory and it would be dangerous to get closer. Recently we nearly lost half of our team that was sent to trap a few of the Cliff Wampas to be taken off world for study."
Darres looked to Janar as he gave a smile, his men keeping their eyes open and their guards up as the two continued to watch as more of the Wampas would lumber out of caves before they began their daily climbing and mating calls.

| Ja’nar would just shake her head “No fun at all, you sound like the old man and that is not an attractive thing” Though it was in a weird way. He cared enough to keep her safe, or at least try to. She would stand there for a long time just watching them, her mind drifting to her son and how much he would love to be standing there watching too. But it wasn’t meant to be yet, maybe one day she would be able to bring him here. “It is nice to be able to just take a day off isn’t it? It rarely happens and I know you still wish to talk to me about some sort of proposal.”

| Darres laughed as he looked to Janar. "If I sound like the old man its for good reason. I couldnt risk the back lash if anything happened to you." Darres smiled to Janar as they stood there watching the Wampas. She was right, it was a good thing to have a day off as he looked towards the canyon and watched. When she spoke up after a few moments of silence he listened carefully. She was right, he did have a proposal, that was the reason he asked her here. "I do, yet it is something that can wait for a time." He gave a smile as his guards came to him, one of them speaking with him as he looked to Janar. "It seems that there are a few Wampas not too far from here. My guards are telling me that it would be best for us to leave the area."

| Ja’nar would lower the binoculars as she looks back to Verilia and the guard and just shakes her head “Always in a rush” she says softly. Perhaps that was her problem, even when things became dangerous she would not back down, it would be her downfall within the senate chambers for sure. She would always do what she wanted to do, not what others wanted her to do. “Can it really? I think it would be best if we speak about it soon, I do not know how long I will be able to stay on this vacation. I am playing a number of roles unfortunately that no one else can or will do.” Ja’nar would let out a sigh as she hands the binoculars back to him as she turns away from him slightly, closing her eyes as she stretched, breathing in the cool fresh air, the slight breeze catching her hair, blowing it into her face for a moment before she pushes it back. “Perhaps we could go into the city and do some shopping? I would like to pick up some local fashions unless you wish to get down to business that would be alright too.”

| "The town in on our way back to my estate. I am sure the guards would have no problem stopping." The men looked to him, even knowing ahead of time of what he was about to say. "I'm also sure they'd have no problem helping you carry your bags." The guards shook their heads as they sighed before looking back to the two and nodding as Darres helped Queen Cerra back into the speeder as he got in. The group heading out as they speed towards the large town before them. "I am sure that you'll find a myriad of items and styles that you would enjoy and find fitting for both future visit and other visit to other worlds. I know that the people of Gall would be proud to know that a Queen is wearing their fine wares."

| Ja’nar would nod her head “that would be lovely, and future visits? You are getting a bit ahead of yourself there.” Ja’nar would move back towards the speeder with him, as she slips in and settles back into her original seat. “I’m sure they will not need to carry many. I have gotten it down to an art plus I promised my stylist that I would not go crazy.”
