| Nar Shaddaa. The Smuggler's Moon.
Lim Hejin gazed down upon it from the bridge of the Stars of Arcadia. It was late, or perhaps rather early, depending on how one looked at it. The bridge chronometer read 0216 Coruscant time and the bridge was deserted, save himself. For Hejin, an outcast of society, the name 'Imperial Center' had as much meaning to him as it did to the fleas on a Hutt's rear end. Of course, speaking of Hutts, Hejin had come to Nar Shaddaa to meet with one: Njon, his employer of sorts. His quiet brooding was interrupted as his executive officer's arms slid around his waist.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
She was always so damned quiet. Either that or the smuggler had been truly lost in deep thought. It had been some time since he'd met with Njon and, strangely, the Hutt had not contacted him. "Always curious to see what the old slug is up to." He mustered a grin as he turned around, bringing his arms down around her and wrapping her in a tight embrace. "He can be... moody... at times. One day a pleasant enough businessman; well, pleasant for a Hutt, and the next day a cold killer. Fortunately the Tibanna gas we lifted ought to do well enough to satisfy him. It was a major haul."
"Trigger finished checking it for tracking beacons and it was clean."
"Good, good. I wouldn't think a two-bit operation like that would think that far ahead. Loyalist Gas Corporation or something like that?"
"Something like that. Now... I'm tired of you talking business."
"Oh, so forward so fast?" Hejin's voice was faintly mocking as she reached up, drawing his head down for a long kiss.
--- Later ---
Invigorated, if still slightly tired from the activities two hours prior, Hejin was strapped in, piloting the ARC-170 with Genkai as his gunner and escorted by two of the Arcadia's pilots in the Y-TIEs. With a last look at his orbiting vessel, he released the docking clamps and, followed by his men, dropped towards Nar Shaddaa, transmitting his intent to land at the normal docking pad Njon expected him at.

| Hejin would receive a signal directing him not to the usual landing pad, but rather to the Subrosa, the derelict Lucrehulk-class ship that served as Njon's base of operations. This was, most likely, a good sign—that Njon wanted to see Hejin personally. Usually that meant the Hutt had a job for the Hejin (though he was right about Njon's occasionally capricious nature). Time would tell, as the Subrosa's tractor beams guided Hejin's ARC-170 into the hangar, setting him and Genkai down amid the mass of freight and the bustle of loading and unloading it, all under the watchful eye of the Hutt's hired guns. Security wasn't a concern here, however, as Njon appeared personally (with some of his usual retinue—his Toydarian accountant, his Neimoidian contact, and a Herglic who was there for appearance's sake) to greet Hejin as he climbed out of his fighter.
"Lim!" Njon called out to him cordially, his deep voice carrying over the din of loadlifters and other ships coming and going, "So good to see you, my friend. And you come bearing a gift, as I understand?" Typical of Njon to know about Hejin's raid of Kuantar before the news had even gotten out. Typical of Njon, too, to speak in slightly broken Basic—people often underestimated Hutts, and Njon liked to encourage this however possible even though he was, in fact, a prideful Hutt supremacist.

| The pilots of the Y-TIEs were the first to disembark their ungainly craft. Both men had a hard look about them and their blaster pistols, strapped to their thighs for a quicker draw than the waist, were within easy reach. Hejin, however, was not here for a fight; it was the last thing on his mind, but he was always prepared in the even Njon's mood was sour. It seemed that this day, Njon was in a rather welcoming mood, especially aboard his own vessel. Genkai, watching Hejin's back even more than the pilots-turned-bodyguards, stood behind and to the right of Hejin. His pistol was evident, as was the blade he carried everywhere. Silent and foreboding, he stared at the Hutt's retinue, meeting each creature's eyes in turn before picking a spot some six inches above the Toydarian's head and fixating upon it, or at least appearing to do so.
"Njon, you old rogue, you!" Hejin's Huttese was not quite up to perfect snuff, but it was passable. When dealing with Hutts, it helped to speak the native language. As the saying went, when in Corellia, do as the Corellians do. Switching back to Basic, the smuggler continued. "It's a shipload of Tibanna gas. Easily snatched from the Loyalist Gas Mining Corporation. No defensive fighters, no weapon emplacements and no resistance. It was easier than taking money from a Toydarian." Hejin gave Njon's accountant a sly wink; there was always a jest to be made about the winged species.
"It's been a long time since we had the chance to speak. Things are getting hectic in some places."

| The Toydarian was so pleasantly surprised to not be accused of taking money from others for a change that he let Hejin's remark slide without so much as a furrow of the brow. Njon, for his part, seemed amused at the ease of Hejin's theft. "The 'Loyalist Gas Mining Corporation,'" the Hutt scoffed, "That's the real joke, here." He gestured for Hejin to follow beside him as began to lumber in no particular direction. "Walk and talk, shall we?" If Hejin's people came to the same unspoken understanding, Njon's people would remain behind with them, allowing the Hutt and Hejin some privacy even if it meant the two groups were left behind, for the moment, to stare each other down awkwardly. "It has been some time," Njon said, conversationally, "But I'm grateful for your gift and I wonder if, in return, I might offer you some work?" Things were never quite as rosy as Njon made them seem—when the Hutt 'offered' work to someone, he expected that offer to be accepted. Or else. But he paid well and in the currency of Hejin's choice, so most likely the smuggler would have no complaints.

| Hejin gave a nod to Genkai as Njon moved off. Genkai, in turn, gave a nod to the pair of pilots standing guard and all three settled to wait; comfortable, but alert as always. Moving along with the Hutt, listening to his words, Hejin allowed a small smile to play across his lips. Of course, his and Njon's business relationship was quite good; the Hutt rarely had explicit jobs for him and had, so far, been more than happy with the tributes that Hejin brought from his piracy. In turn, Njon had not seen fit to curtail Hejin's other lines of work, such as piracy for personal profit and smuggling for the same.
"Of course I accept; on behalf of myself and the crew of the Stars of Arcadia. Of course, it does help if one knows what the job at hand entails."

| "Of course, of course," the Hutt said, then lowered his voice to a more conspiratorial, but still casual tone, "There is a species of worms called Ee that live on Trilos, a moon of Atraken. They're rumored to be quite delicious..." Njon assumed something of a distant expression, as if savoring the taste of them in advance. He returned to the moment, however. "But I have other uses for them as well. They live in hives beneath the ground, and I'd like you to set fire to them—smoke them out, stun them or club them if you must, and capture me a good two to three hundred or so. It sounds like a lot," he waved his hand in a dismissive gesture, "But they're a dumb species and you'll find you can fit quite a few of them to a crate, too. There is another matter, though..."
"On the way there, I'd like you to stop by Cona. If the Stars of Arcadia is fast enough..." he taunted, "... it should be able to make it there at the same time as a freighter that belongs to a rival of mine. It left Dantooine a day ago, believed to be carrying an addictive substance to Cona. I deal in addictive substances, Lim. Not Jamulon. Me. I'd like you to destroy this ship to send a message to Jamulon Tiure to keep to that backwater of his, where he belongs. What do you say, old friend? What is it you Humans say, a 'blue milk run,' yes?"

| Hejin looked faintly amused at the mention of the Ee. He'd heard of such before, though not gone hunting for them. A rumored delicacy, it seemed easy enough for Lim and his crew to acquire some of these worms, crate them up and bring them back to Njon for his various uses. What the Hutt used them for, Lim would not even speculate; largely because it wasn't his business and Njon wasn't paying him to wonder why Njon did the things Njon did; no, Njon paid for results. It was the second part that intrigued him. The rivalry between Njon Anjiliac and Jamulon Tiure was legendary in some circles. In Lim's slightly biased opinion (Njon being his employer and whatnot), the Hutt he served was by and far receiving the better end of the criminal empire, whereas Jamulon was simply backwards on a backwoods world. Hejin had never fancied Dantooine and his opinion was not likely to change anytime soon. Fortunately, he did not engage in 'dealing' with Jamulon's forces often enough for the rival Hutt to have much knowledge of him.
"Your Ee won't be a problem at all Njon. Clubbing worms? Easy business. But Cone... that's in the Teke Ro System, if I remember correctly. And you ask if the Stars is fast enough!" Lim snorted in amusement and shook his head. "Military-grade engines straight from Sluis Van, my old friend. I'd say it's easier than a blue milk run. I'd say your rival's freighter is as good as gone."
Hejin bowed low to Njon and then straightened. "If there is nothing further, Njon, I believe I have a freighter to catch. And of course, my promise as always that if my crew or I should ever engage in an addictive substance to become addicted to it, we will buy from you."
