| Basic communications beacons were posted near the Dantooine hyperspace jump points. They broadcast messages such as "Offworlders: Welcome to visit (With a return ticket)", "Don' welcome no city slickas" and "Drink at Gromun's Bar and Grill, finest Ribs on the Outer Rim".
The beacons would broadcast in all directions when set off, otherwise broadcasting Country from Jamie's station for any workers in the System, acting as an early warning for JTH if there was any shp arriving by hyperspace, so his boys at the landing field could check if it was expected and let him know if anyone unexpected showed up.
