A surprise at Druckenwell

| At Druckenwell the main body of the Alsakan fleet dropped from hyperspace, it's hulls gleaming bright in the Alsakan Blue and Green, it's signal lights fully lit as it manoeuvred from the jump point, taking care to avoid any pickets or patrols as yet.
Twelve Skipray Blastboats and Four Nebulon-B frigates arrived and launched their TIE Squadrons (keeping out of range of any emplacements). The fighters formed up into a defensive formation around the frigates and the blast boats took the left flank as they scanned the Druckenwell defences. The ships cruised silently towards Druckenwell, shields up and accompanied by their escorts, avoiding any military contact as yet. Any attacks on them however would be met by swift and deadly use of force.
Admiral the Lord Pelham opened the communicator to the Druckenwell Government, reading a preprepared statement.
"Druckenwell Government, you are instructed and required to recall your ships from the spaceof Monor II immediately. Failing this we will be forced to take action to remove your world's capacity to produce weapons of war to attack your Neighbours. This is an action not taken lightly which will be made after strenuous attempts to secure your withdrawal from your neighbours space, whom you are violating without any legal reason.
You have ten minutes to withdraw crews from your dockyards, emplacements and stations, or to show sign of withdrawing from Monor II. After this time we will commence with the tactical demolition of your shipyards, defense ships, gun emplacements and any weapons producing facility which might come to our attention.
We regret having to take such a drastic course of action but in the course of this Empire we have always stood by the rights of worlds to their territorial integrity, we will not let rights going back thousands of generations be desecrated by one world. That is all."
They awaited any news from the forces at Monor II

| With Sky Marshal Rolf absent to Monor II, it fell to Rear Admiral Kevin Meadows to coordinate a defense for Druckenwell. Unfortunately, with most of the fleet gone, Druckenwell's primary vessel of defense was a single Carrack-class cruiser and, of course, the squadrons of TIE fighters that resided on the Imperial base on Druckenwell. Being an important world as it was, both in ships and weapon systems, it was not undefended by the Empire.
"Alsakan pirate forces. Your demands are made through ignorance and lack the conviction of the Senate or Imperial backing. As pirate forces, you have no authority here. Any attempt to make use of force here will be met with nothing less than equal force. Our working-class citizens will not abandon their posts in the face of piracy and impotent threats. Admiral Meadows out."
A few minutes passed and then the rather annoyed voice of the Admiral would return.
"Alsakan pirate forces, be advised: the Senator is ordering a withdrawal from direct Monor II space."

| Upon receiving news of the withdrawal of a portion of the batleforce from Monor II "I am pleased to see you have come to your senses. Our forces will withdraw from your space appropriately. Be aware, any further deployments to Monor II will result in the aforementioned demolition of your orbital facilities. Good day Gentlemen we will bear off on coordinates eight two niner." replied the Lord Admiral.
The group moved off politely, retiring to behind the Druckenwellian border. Keeping aggressive and defensive systems ready as they moved and manoeuvred quietly awaiting further

| The Vigilance and its escort arrived before too long, taking up station near the remaining Carrack cruiser. The two squadrons of V-wings flew interference, but otherwise, all stayed within the protective net of the gun batteries that made Druckenwell a highly defensible place.
