The bounty hunter assigned to this mission had been given some time to prepare. He had been doing a few insignificant odd jobs to earn some extra credits so the man could go buy a few things. Such as a B2-X computer interface unit, a Prowler 1000 exploration droid, and a portable sensor array/mask that he had customized by himself. Jak needed those things to aid him in gathering information that Moff Cole would like to have his hands on. It's ironic. The man was never much of a people person. Yet, there he is, getting involved into the nasty affairs of Moffs. For all he know, a Moff could be entirely nice to him and the next one would be completely rude.

Nonetheless, credits is credits to someone like Jak Merston. As the YT-1300 would drop out of hyperspace, some distance away from the planet by the name of Eos. The signature didn't give off that it was Kath Hound's Fangs. It was a different signature. If the Eos Corporation had done a scanning from the surface, they would see that it was called Outer Rim's Luck and that Jak Merston was a smuggler assigned to ferry supplies to the planet instead of a bounty hunter. However, that wasn't the incentive for Jak to change his usual appearance. After all, smugglers would pretty much have an attire out of about anything. If Jak looked heavily armed with a D18 pistol and a Heavy Lightning Rifle, it's because Outer Rim is a part of the galaxy where you needed to be armed all the time.

As the YT-1300 would slow down a little bit, he had the computer interface unit standing by to do some hacking. He didn't want to give the command just yet, not this early. He had his comlink tied to the unit so that he could give the command away from the ship if needed to. The prowler were on a standby mode as well, should he feel the need to have the planet being scouted out a little bit. There were also a second button on the comlink he had installed himself, of which would activate the portable sensor array/mask once it was pressed on.

The reason the ship had slowly come to a halt was because he had done a research on the planet. Eos had a deflector shield protecting the planet and a large planetary cannon that would no doubt be used if Jak managed to slip past the shielding. The disguised smuggled thought it was better to be done the way he had planned it out to be. The man knew he wasn't as talented as Boba Fett, but all it takes to become a good bounty hunter was to be smart. He would speak through the radiotransmitter inside the cockpit, "Requesting a landing clearance. I was paid to deliver crates of supplies to a company on this planet."

Some time before dropping out of hyperspace upon Eos, Jak had managed to get himself hired to deliver crates of supplies, so there would really be a few crates onboard the freighter should they feel the compel to get inside the ship.

The YT-1300 would be stopped by another ship, one of the handful of mercenary ships that had been hired to help keep track of the other merchant vessels constantly coming and going. The ship approached the YT-1300, compelling it to stop as a broad cast was opened up to the vessel. "This is the Avarice, there are no scheduled shipments slated at this time hour, nor for the next few hours. Power down your ship, and prepare to be boarded." The larger ship moved closer as it locked the YT-1300 in place with a tractor beam as it slowly moved over it, an external docking clamp being brought out and hooking onto the ship as a group of the mercenaries on board approached the air lock, ready to board the YT-1300 and check it to make sure there was nothing out of place.

To the mercenaries, even though there could have been a miscommunication between the groups, it was still cause enough for them to wave a flag when the ship showed up claiming to be carrying cargo for the Eos Productions Corporation. The only company on the world of Eos as it was nothing more than a large molten rock floating out in space.

The console beeped, and there were anther ship in the vicinity. Not long after that, he heard a voice on the radiotransmitter. No doubt, they were security for the Eos Corporation. The bounty hunter decided to cooperate, simply because there were no point in fighting back. Especially when that planetary shield is still up. If Jak attempts to make a beeline for the surface, his freighter would simply splatter against the shields. He'd turn his eyes to the FA-5 pilot droid, ordering him to stay in the cockpit. He'd want for the droid to get the ship out of there should there be trouble.

The computer interface unit had stayed inside the cockpit as well, since it had to be plugged itself into the console. If the security had seen the unit, they shouldn't worry as much. Many smugglers and bounty hunters would keep them in possession for infiltration purposes. However, it doesn't necessarily mean he would use it to infiltrate the Eos Corporation. At least, that's what Jak had to prove to the security on. Now, the Prowler droid is entirely another matter. He'd have to come up with a story to convince the security about why this particular droid was onboard.

The ship would power itself down, allowing one of the security ships to dock. Jak would get out of the cockpit, keeping his D18 pistol in his holster and the Heavy Lightning Rifle strapped to his back. Then he felt a couple of shakes. First, it was the tractor beam then it was the docking clamp. This was the Outer Rim, the bounty hunter wouldn't be surprised if he ran into a team of mercs. Many outerlying companies rely on private security so they wouldn't have to rely on the Imperial starfleet. The man would make his way toward one of the airlocks that the docking clamps would have attach itself to.

Jak kept his left hand on the pistol, but didn't draw it out. He wasn't going to attack, but he knew fully well that if there are mercenaries, he probably would have to defend himself to a point. Bounty hunters and mercs don't trust each other, because of competition. His right hand would tug his hat, correcting it. He wasn't a people person, yet his job requires dealing with a lot of people. This situation, among many others in the past, would call for his people skills. He had to be careful not to tip them off.

When the airlock opened two of the mercenaries already had their weapons draw and trained on the man. Any move or action would be met with a quick reaction by the two. Behind them stood two more, each with their own weapons drawn as a fifth stood in the bad. A datapad in his hand as he looked over it, hitting a few buttons as the mercenaries moved onto the ship. A couple seconds later, as the first two kept their weapons drawn on the man, the next group of two stepped on, the second of which approached the man and pulled the D18 pistol out of its holster before he stepped back, handing it to one of the mercenaries that set it into a belt pouch on his hip. The mercenary once more approaching the man as he pulled the rifle off of his back as he handed it back to the other mercenaries. From the ship two more men came in, taking the weapons as they put them into a locker cage in the airlock on their ship before coming back.

The man that was holding the datapad looked up as he looked at the man. His eyes looking back to the datapad as he spoke up. "Your ships transponder, as well as the titled name on it do not match. Nor does any background you've stated. We've checked with the companies that we order supplies from, and none of them have heard of you. We will be detaining you until we have our questions and all information gathered." One of the mercenaries moved around behind the man, standing behind him as he pulled out a pair of electrocuffs. The others keeping their weapons trained on him. "Do not resist, our weapons are not set on stun." The mercenaries grabbed the mans arms and pulled them behind his back as he set the cuffs on, locking them in place as they would take him to the mercenaries ship, escorting him to the brig before they put him into one of the prisoners cells before the mercenaries went back to the ship, beginning to search it as the man stood in brig.

His hand still holding the datapad as he looked at the prisoners. "Who sent you."

The bounty hunter would get his left hand off the pistol, chuckling loudly. "I knew it would be your type to check me up." Two mercs had trained their weapons at him the moment the airlock opened up, and another two would walk to be behind Jak. Then the fifth one, which appears to be the head of the group, would speak to him. A moment earlier, both his D18 pistol and Heavy Lightning Rifle would be taken away. "You'd better give them back to me when we're done with your welcoming committee."

As he was getting cuffed, Jak continued to have his eyes trained upon what seems to be the interrogator. "Hey, this is the Outer Rim. If they didn't say anything about a shipment coming in, it's probably off the books. You ever think of that?" He'd chuckle once again as he was being "escorted" off his freighter. Jak was definitely not a people person, from the way he talked. It would be up to the droids to do their job, and at this moment, that meant cooperating with what seems to pass as the authority around this area of the galaxy.

The computer interface unit was smart enough to know when to delete its current action, which meant waiting for the command to get to hacking. It had done so while the mercs were trained on Merston. They wouldn't find any trace of anything mischievous within the unit. Because it was unofficial and somewhat sensitive, the bounty hunter made sure to memorize the frequency to contact his employer instead of keeping it within the console. The prowler would power itself down, essentially showing that the droid wasn't needed. If they had find the customized sensor array/mask, which was improbable, it wasn't that unusual of a sight among smugglers, mercs, or bounty hunters. The pilot droid simply mind its own business, keeping itself in place inside the cockpit.

Merston was taken to one of the cels inside the ship that had attached itself to the YT-1300 light freighter few minutes earlier. "Hey, I was only paid to deliver those supplies here. Whoever hired me was anonymous, they paid me good money to do this. Perhaps you'd have more luck asking someone down there." Jak would cross his arms, since the cuffs would be off once he was thrown into a cell. He was referring to someone on the planet.

The man looked to the datapad as he looked up once the door opened. One of the other mercenaries stepped into the room as he spoke to him. "The supplies in the crates are not the kind that Eos uses, nor orders. They have no shipment on or off the books that involve these kind of supplies." When the mercenary left, the man standing with Jak Merston spoke up. "It would seem that the supplies are nothing that Eos orders. I will ask again, whom sent you to this system." He walked across the room as he set the datapad down and leaned up against the desk as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I'll make a deal with you, if you tell me who sent you, you'll be released with no questions asked, the false supplies taken, and handed over to the proper channels, with nothing said as to where or how they were gained."

He kept his eyes on Jak as he waited, the mercenaries finished with their inspection as they took the crates off of his freighter, storing them in the cargo hold of their own ship that would take the supplies to a secondary location where they would be evaluated before the choice made to destroy them, or if they could be resold through the proper channels.

The bounty hunter would notice another merc walking into the room. That was when he leaned himself against the wall, with his arms still crossed. When the merc asked Jak who sent him, he simply shrugged it off. "This merc must be bad at interrogation." He thought to himself. The bounty hunter lightly shook his head as well, indicating he wasn't impressed at all. The next moment, the merc attempted to offer him a deal. If you had called that a deal, anyway. At first, he'd try to stifle his own laugh. Putting the top of his squeezed left hand to cover his mouth, another attempt at stifling his laugh would ensue.

Then came along a chuckle, then another. Once more a chuckle would be heard, it led to a small laugh. After a couple more laughs, it would turn into one loud and boisterous laugh. "HA! HA! HA! HA!" He'd have his right hand slap against his right leg repeatedly. It would become more obvious by now that he was mocking the guy across the room. After seconds had passed, he managed to give himself a deep breath to regain his composure.

He took a few long breaths before he would finally speak again, "Whoo...for a second there, I thought you were making a bad joke there. My bad." Again, it was obviously he knew it wasn't a joke. Jak would shook his head lightly, and couldn't help but let a couple of loud chuckles escape his mouth. His left hand moved to rub the back of his neck. "Alright, I'll tell you who. Your mama. That's who. Now you could call her and ask her, but I'm pretty sure it's her job to say no."

Jak shrugged his shoulders, extending his arms out and shaking his head lightly once again to indicate that he was about to continue his sarcastic attitude. "Go ahead, give her a call. Yeah, you go do that. In meantime, mind letting me go?"

The man shook his head as he looked to Jak. "I cant just let you go now could I, that would look bad." He stood up from where he had been leaning as he walked back and forth across the room, reading the datapad in his hand as he spoke again. "You'll be processed according to the laws of the Empire. You've been caught smuggling and as such, you'll be given appointed a legal representative to defend you, should you not be able to afford one. Your ship, as well as your belongings will be impounded and returned to you when you are either found innocent, or after the time in which your sentence has been spent." The man then looked to Jak before he left the room, locking the brig as two guards where posted outside, standard operation for the mercenaries.

In a few moments, two more ships arrive, Jak's own ship being unconnected from the one he was on now as it was taken into possession of the ships that had arrived. The ships now setting their course for the moon world of Gall as they headed towards the Sector Capital, where Jak would be held.

"Then I take it you aren't going to beat the hell out of me? I guess you aren't much of a merc as I thought. Hell, I don't think you're much of a man." The bounty hunter chuckled, and rolled his eyes. Jak would go back to laying down on the ground, putting his hat in front of his face. This gives him a dark space to take a nap in. Perhaps there was any way the droid could save him. No, it isn't possible. Maybe by the computer interface unit, but even then, two other droids aren't suited for combat. One is equipped for piloting and another is equipped for recon.

Perhaps there is a way out of this, but there is yet an opportunity to present. There is still an element of surprise in the cards for the bounty hunter, but he would not use it unless there would be an opportunity present.

The man had paid no attention to the last few comments made by the smuggler, his own response was to just leave the room. The moment that the door had closed, the ship shook for a moment as it unhooked from the other. It wouldn't be left alone though as two more ships had been contacted and arrived shortly in the system. Their job to lock down the ship and impound it as it was taken to Gall for processing. The smuggler though would be taken to a holding facility on Gall, no where near the impound yard as the mercenaries ship jumped to hyperspace. It wasn't that long of a trip though as the small grouping of ships arrived at the planet, managing to get the smugglers ship down in one piece as they landed it, then locked it down in the impound yard.

A few moments later the door opened once more as another man stepped in, this one though looking different, more well kept as he stood there silently. His hand held a datapad, the other kept moving the page on it up as he read through the lines before looking up. "I'm President Fox of the Eos Productions Interstellar Corporations, the same place that you decided to try and gain access to through the false means of a faked shipment." He looked back down at the datapad before setting it down. "Very grave crimes indeed. It would seem that not only are you being charged with Smuggling, and hindering the investigation of the authorities, you're also having corporate espionage added to the list."

Once the bounty hunter was taken in for processing then taken to the prison on Gall, he was encountered by someone that looked much more important that those dumb grunts. When the man introduced himself, he chuckled lightly. "I'm flattered. They sent the President to pay a little ol' me a visit. What's next, the Emperor himself?" Jak raised his eyebrows and looked at President Fox when he was being told of his crimes, "Fox, right? First of all, why would I be charged with smuggling if I was paid by someone to take this to you? I take it those mercs that seems to pass as the so-called investigators around here told you I was interfering with the investigation just because I called out on his mama."

Jak crossed his arms, and placed his body gently against the wall. The man adjusted his hat a little bit before speaking once again, "Corporate Espionage? What a fancy word for someone like you. Do I look like a spy? You must be dumber than you look, man. Well, as long as the glamorous President decided to stop by and have a chat, why don't you give me a cigarette to smoke with? I don't have one with me. It's a nice counterbalance to this place you have here."

Aaron shook his head as he set the datapad down. "You're being charged with smuggling because there is no record of the items that you were holding on your ship ever having been requested, nor ordered by Eos. As well as the fact that you had no previous set shipment appointment. The charge of hindering an investigation by authorities is due to your standoffish demeanor and your inability to cooperate in giving us the information on who hired you to bring the smuggles materials to us. As for the corporate espionage, it would seem that the corporate board of Eos has its own views on why you were hired and sent here, which brings up the question if the one(s) whom hired you came from a competing company to try and get you access to the facility on Eos to "snoop" around as they put it. Considering though that you are unwilling to cooperate in this matter, you'll have a trial hearing set in the coming week."

Aaron stood up from where he had been leaning up against the desk as he headed towards the door, stopping at it before speaking up. "You have the right to legal council, if you are unable to afford one, one will be provided for you. Your impounded possessions will be used to pay for the court fees, as well as your boarding and cost of food while you're being held." The doors opened as he stepped out of the room, the doors shutting and locking down as the ship continued on its way.

The bounty hunter simply scoffed at the President, even after all the explanation of the crimes provided for Jak. He decided not to say anything, moving slowly against the wall to get himself on the floor. He stretched his right leg out, laying it against the permacrete floor. The left one would move closer, putting his knee in front of his body. Jak put his left arm over to lean on the knee, and adjusted his hat to give his face a dark place to sleep in. He went ahead and rested his head gently against the wall. This should pass some time.

(( Sorry, I keep forgetting about this. If you're okay with an auto-resolution, lets say that Jak would be let go with a warning and told never to return to the Cadavine Sector, he would intern having his things returned to him after he is escorted out of the sector? ))
