Mr. Friend,

With regard to the unsecured, convertible bond that you have attempted to redeem with us for its supposed credit value of 7.3 million credits, you should be advised that according to our records this bond has not been issued by RimCo or any of its subsidiaries, and is not only a forgery but a rather conspicuous one. Note, in particular, that the value of the shares is printed on the certificate, whereas in fact the value of RimCo shares fluctuates on a daily basis. Furthermore, the signature of Mr. de Vega, the CEO of RimCo, is clearly forged as it appears to have been typed in a common font. Additionally, "Sikari K. Lurgo" is not the Secretary Treasurer of RimCo, nor is anyone by this name employed by RimCo or any of its subsidiaries. What's more, the Imperial seal is clearly a poor reproduction that is pixellated and off center. The entire certificate has the appearance of having been created using basic editing applications on a home computer. This is the conclusion of the entire accounting staff, having been casually studied for a matter of mere moments. Furthermore, RimCo requires a legal name, address, and bank account in order to convert bonds to their credit value, and the apparent alias of "A. Friend," with no physical contact information, does not meet our standards.

This matter has been referred to our fraud division. Employees of the fraud division, private investigators, or Sector Rangers may be in contact with you on this matter. RimCo takes these matters seriously and will appreciate your cooperation. We regret any inconvenience that has resulted from this and advise you to observe more caution in the future. If you are interested in purchasing a bond in RimCo, we have included with this letter a pamphlet of (real) bond options for your consideration.

Have a nice day, A. Friend.
