| Lim Hejin had come to Taris. He'd brought many of the primary members of his crew with him and left his rather distinctive vessel out on the fringes of the system, preferring to use their fighters and shuttle to bring themselves in. Taris' Lower City was a place rather famous, or infamous depending on who you were and how you looked at it, for spawning rogues of all types. Hejin in particular was looking for a few members, no more than ten, to join his crew of merry pirates and smugglers. That was what brought him and his small retinue out and about on the Undercity. They were well-enough armed to discourage the poorer thugs, though they risked drawing the ire of the braver gangs. It was just something they would have to accept as they searched and talked to various members.

| Words spread rather quickly around Lower City...and the Undercity. It didn't take long before the words reached the ears of Radim that there was a group of smugglers and pirates around the area. They were looking to recruit members for their own crew. Like the Krayt Dragons need more competition, there were other gangs to worry about and the Imperial patrols. The swoop gang leader was about to send someone out to inform the smugglers that Lower City and Undercity was their territory and that they should leave.
All that changed when Radim heard that the crew was led by a man named Lim Hejin. This pirate was somewhat well-known among the Outer Rim Territories. It was also rumored that this man isn't the kind of man someone would want to trust. However, this didn't stop the former Separatist from feeling a bit intrigued for a moment there. It does look odd that a swoop gang would seek out a group of smugglers. Then again, the Krayt Dragons is no ordinary gang. This swoop gang spoke out against slavery, Human High Culture, and general oppression of the Galactic Empire. "Shall I have the men dispose of them?" One of the swoop members asked.
Radim shook his head lightly, "No, bring Mr. Hejin and his men over here." It took a few moments for ten members to get on their KV swoops. Three were twi'leks, two was rodians, two was sullustans, one was wookiee, one was quarren, and one was human. The party of diversity would set off to locate Lim Hejin and his crew. The Krayt Dragons were traveling in this size due to a couple reasons. Firstly, they might come across Imperial patrols. Secondly, they don't trust Hejin.

| "Oh look, my dear... it seems we've drawn some attention."
Hejin's amused comment was directed towards the procession of swoops that bore down on the group as they walked. Hejin's group consisted of the captain himself, the lovely Petra Cornwall, Keji Genkai and an additional ten assorted and not-all-that-important crew. Hejin took no offensive action as the swoops approached, instead heading away from his group and offering a sarcastic wave in greeting. Now he'd see who they belonged to and what they'd wanted. It was a rather unfair reputation some had built about Hejin; largely rivals and those who had come afoul of him that he'd left alive. He was an extraordinary smuggler with a spotless record for delivering what needed to be done. He'd never double-crossed a customer, even for higher pay, and as a some-time pirate, he was more of a gentleman of fortune, never harming those who did not bring it upon themselves. Many, including certain customers of the Hutt Cartel, spoke highly of him. It would be hardly his fault if a simple swoop gang hadn't heard the better side of his reputation.

| The searching party were getting away from the Krayt Dragons' base of operations. If you call them searching party, from their appearances it would look more of a "retrieval" party. It didn't really take long before locating Mr. Hejin and his people. Usually when upon reaching a specific group of people, the Krayt Dragons would either shoot or kidnap. Of course, in this case, it was mostly either Imperial patrols or one of the rival gangs that decided not to cooperate with them in fighting the Empire.
From the looks of things, it was one of the twi'leks that were leading. The swoops came to a stop slowly in front of the smugglers. Every single member got off the swoop, but none made any steps except a lone twi'lek. A twi'lek male would be seen moving a few feet ahead of the pack, but kept himself at a distance. When Mr. Hejin made a sacrastic remark, the guy decided to dismiss it as if he was ignoring the greeting. "The leader of the Krayt Dragons has requested your presence. Please come with us."

| "Requested us, you say? My good fellow, let us proceed with all haste! With you as our guides, surely no harm can befall us." Hejin motioned for the Twi'lek to move ahead of him, and he and his own crew would follow on foot, not having swoops or speeders. Hopefully it wouldn't be too far off, for they'd look a silly bunch; men on swoops escorting a group walking. Ah well. With a glance towards his own crew and seeing them at ease, Hejin followed the Twi'lek, curious to see how their reception would go.

| The twi'lek would be the first one to turn his swoop around, and one by one began to follow in place. Instead of moving ahead of Hejin's crew, they had formed a perimeter surrounding them. It wasn't to intimidate Lim Hejin and his men, but it was to protect them from rival gangs or Imperial patrols. Mr. Thek didn't care about Mr. Hejin's reputation, as long as he was known to be an enemy of the Empire. His personal quarters had received another message, this time from a Separatist faction. Mr. Thek had been briefly engaged in the conversation with a certain individual known as Lord Rall. He would have to find a way to get off-world without the Empire noticing, but first, he was to speak with Hejin.
It would be bound to gather some attention with a group of swoops were escorting a group of people on feet. The Imperial patrols weren't around, and some of the rival gangs decided not to touch the Krayt Dragons this time, fortunately. Mostly, the attention came from street bystanders. They were mostly innocent civilians looking to go about their day. Thankfully, it didn't take long to return to the Krayt Dragons' base of operations inside the Lower City. There were a couple of guards standing by the front entrance. One of the guards would utter a few words. "We're watching you. Don't try anything stupid." The guy would open the doors, allowing the crew to get inside what would be a nest of swoop gang members.
The members on the swoops would wait until the crew got inside, before going around to the back entrance so their swoops could get inside as well. Radim Thek would be seen standing at the edge of the large, main quarters where several eyes would watch the crew move toward the leader.

| Hejin chuckled at the guard who issued the warning. "Us? Cause trouble? Perish the thought! We're but simple smugglers!" It was faith in his crew and the fact that they carried enough firepower to overpower the Dantooine army that boosted his confidence. Moving into the hideout proper, his men glanced around, well-trained, searching for possible concealed or camouflaged firing positions, escape routes and to take stock of the beings around them. No man walked into another man's home; especially a man with Thek's reputation, without covering his own behind.
Approaching the main quarters, Hejin lifted a hand in greeting to the gang leader. "A pleasant afternoon on Taris, Mister Thek. What beautiful accommodations you've set up for yourself here, and a sturdy crew of good men. I daresay I'll have a hard time prying any away from you."Added (25 Nov 2011, 5:23 PM) --------------------------------------------- Anything further here? ))

| Oh man, I'm sorry. I've been so busy that I completely forget about this one.I'll have post up today. I promise. )) Added (26 Nov 2011, 4:54 AM) --------------------------------------------- Oh, if the Krayt Dragons were going to slaughter them, it would have to be through open warfare. Most of the members were standing in one large circle inside the room. Almost every single one of them wields a blaster rifle. However, most of them simply rested on their shoulders. There sat Thek, on a chair in front of a table in the middle of the room with a light flickering atop of him. The former Separatist simply scoffed at Hejin's notion. "Spare me the flattery. Just call me Radim, I'm not someone special. I'm just another person that depise the Empire." The leader's right gloved hand would make a motion for Hejin to sit down with him. "I believe you and your men can be of a use in the struggle against the Empire."

| "I'd say we've already been a bit of a thorn to the Empire, Radim old chap." Propping one leg up on a nearby crate, Lim proceeded to brush some dirt off the side of his boot. "We've hit the Loyalist Gas Mining Corporation a few times, made off with some goods and some fighters, we've embarrassed and evaded the Empire... oh, I forget the name of the world, but we made quite a fool of one of the Hutts, too. Nasty fellows when angered, the Hutts. But you think my crew and I could be of use against the Empire, eh? Regale me with your master plan, then. I'm all ears."

| "So are we. That's something we have in common." It was a bit amusing to see Hejin's arrogance in display. Indeed, the reputation regarding his character was true. He could see why. He and his crew was able to score a few small victories against the Empire. The only downside to this is, his successes probably wouldn't spread beyond the Outer Rim. The Empire are known to keep their failures a secret. That did not mean the words would be as hard to reach among the community of unsavory beings. His crew has enough manpower to take on militia of a backwater planet. For this reason alone, Radim was prepared to make an offer.
"I don't know how you would go about getting yourself involved in planetary struggles, but surely you are not immune to profits?" The black human sported a stern grin, watching the pirate closely. "We're gonna need your help in convincing the rest of the gangs to unite as one. I want the control of the Lower City and Undercity. If you help me complete this task, then every business in this area will be ours. The profits will pour in. Fifty percent of them will be yours, which should be more than ample to finance your own crew."
He decided to stop speaking, not wanting to reveal the rest of his plan. At least not yet. Simply awaiting a reaction from the unsavory pirate.

| Hejin raised an eyebrow at the gang leader's proposal. "You want to unite all the gangs of Taris? That's reaching a bit, isn't it? I mean, you're one gang. You're not even the largest gang, and on the ground? Well, my crew is adept at fighting, but we usually have a ship or two backing us up, you know? Besides, uniting all the gangs is likely to bring down a whole host of Imperials. It's not exactly an overnight process and there is no way it won't be done bloodlessly. That much of a power shift is bound to be noticed by someone else. You have something to use as a distraction?"

| "Well, you are right. Uniting all gangs on Taris is bound to attract attention from the Empire. But it must be done if we are to have a chance of driving the Imps off this planet. Taris has suffered a millennia of oppression and tyranny. I want to change that, but in order to do that, all the gangs must be united first. I know they hate the Imps as much as we, but they don't realize it is better to unite." The man was not sure what he could use as a distraction to keep the Empire occupied all while he builds the unity up.
"I'm going to meet an acquaintance offworld right after this meeting's over. I'll see if he can give us something to keep our enemies at bay for a while. Meanwhile, do you think you can get in touch with some of the pirates? I'm sure they would relish an opportunity to strike at the garrison stationed here."

| The first eyebrow, the right side one, lowered and the left was raised instead. Deftly fishing a cigar from a vest pocket, he lit it with a strike-anywhere match and took a deep puff. Hejin was a rare smoker, but he felt he would need it to aid getting his point across. "We're smugglers, strictly speaking, bounty hunters at times and pirates as well... but we're not full-time pirates. We don't normally associate well with that type and, let's be frank, I have a reputation to uphold.
"I'm not sure what your acquaintance can throw in, but he'll need to make his move before we try anything. If I even go through with this plan. The second the Imps see your type organizing, they'll act quick and decisive-like to crush and resistance. They have time on their side and we wouldn't. That's the problem mate. You'd need months to unify the gangs. They can shatter you overnight."

| "Then we need to act slowly. We have to do this carefully. I'll contact you when your services are needed, and I promise the pay will be good. In meantime, I will have my men prepare quarters for you and our crew. You can come and go as you please." Radim would get up from the chair, looking at Hejin for a brief moment. "Have a good day, Mr. Hejin." He would turn around and head for the back of the base so he could get on his ship and make way for the Separatist meeting on Quetya.
