| He stood in his office, staring at the newsfeed on the holo display. He shook his head, as it had quickly become the galaxy's concern what Deralia's foreign policy was. Now, Ray was powerplaying for his constantly contested Chairmanship. In his eyes, they were all pups who hadn't even left the care of their mother, but suddenly thought they could be the alpha of the pack. It disgusted him. The lack of character shown through the Senate by nearly every member. The assumption that a legislative document about a military action was followed to the letter, the thought that a suspension was an expulsion, no intelligible voting records; the list went on and on. There were a few bright lights out there, but they were quickly, and loudly, being extinguished in some way, shape, or form.
He took time, while still watching the newsfeed from his desk, to finish off his Deralian amaretto that was on the rocks in a lowball glass. A neat stack of datacards and a long since turned off datapad sat to one side, the other side of his desk showing a real-time holoprojection of Deralia and its moons. He was left wishing he was back at his apartment, where had recently had a fireplace installed. It was something about sitting next to a fire that helped him think, perhaps something to do with his childhood. He was here, in his Senate office, however, because he had a job to do. And that job was to talk to Senator Ray.
Unfortunately, what would normally be a simple matter of merely walking to another Senator's office within the Senate Building and having a sit down talk, was complicated by Ray's status as the head of state for his world as well. He did not understand this affinity heads of state had lately with also being their world's, and resident sector's, sitting delegate as well. In his opinion, one being could not handle both positions... and that school of thought had clearly shown; Ray was often absent from debate, Cerra was constantly taking leaves of absence, and Kuriyoshi was in the middle of a mental breakdown from stress, just to name a few. No, instead, once his drink was done, he activated the holotransmitter through a voice activation feature, and walked to the center of the room.
Once the ceiling mounted unit scanned him and received its transmission information, it began to go its magic. After a moment, he was being streamed at an almost live level across the galaxy at a speed faster than light. After a full minute, a link was established with the government offices on Dantooine, which would likely be routed to their secure locations (or so he hoped) as they were currently under lockdown from the arrival of the Ops. He spoke, hoping to get someone's attention. "This is Lord Titus Veritas, Senator of Deralia. I am requesting to speak to Senator and Administrator Exar Ray, as quickly as possible. I have been asked by my government to begin talks between Dantooine and Deralia to bring about an end to this crisis of unfortunate misunderstanding and impassioned response to loss of life that has, regrettably, sent very strong signals that we never wished to convey." he said, hoping the partial apology and diplomatic reach out would be accepted, or at least given a chance.

| Senator Veritas would be instantly met with a holo trasmission from Exar. Nodding some, the conversation would be recorded and made public after he was done talking to him, to ensure that no one accused Exar of not speaking to him. "Senator, I hope you realize that your vessel is coming on hour 8 of the 12 hour deadline. I hope this transmission is to inform me that you will be removing the said vessel before anything happens." Exar was not happy with Veritas, and this wasn't going to be a pleasant call.

| After a moment, he gave a nod towards the now present, life-sized holoprojection of Senator Ray standing before him. He looked the man over, realizing that, despite nearly a year in the Senate, this holoprojection was the closest he had physically been to Senator Ray. He observed the wrinkles of a man of experience... and stress. The grey hair also expressed such, his wisdom showing in his long beard and hair. Senator Ray reminded him of, well, of all people, himself. Fiery when attacked, proud of his homeland and people, and always a believer in doing the right thing... and always a believer that he was in fact doing the right thing.
This momentary experience softened his originally harsh demeanor he was going to adopt to Senator Ray. Instead, he took a deep breath, and began something he did not plan on doing in this; personally apologizing. "Senator, I would like to take time to apologize about this crisis, which, admittedly, could have been handled much better than it has been. I hope there are no hard feelings between us at a personal level... it is not me which does things, I merely exist to serve my people and act as their voice, and the will of my government in the Senate. As an Imperial Senator, I am not an individual... I hope you understand that." he said first, before grabbing the datapad that had been sitting on his desk. The necessary datacard was already within it, and he powered it up. While he waited for it to boot, he spoke further. "I am, indeed contacting you to notify you the Ops will be leaving Dantooine's orbit and returning to Deralia; although I'm sure you should be able to see that on your sensor feed." he said, now bringing the datapad up so that he could read from it.
"I also contact you to forward the intelligence our Royal Intelligence Service has gathered in regards to the terrorist organizations which operate on Dantooine. It is the opinion of my government that, we should share, immediately, the intelligence we have. Shall I proceed?" he said. He had already ensured that the connection was heavily encrypted with a quantum, adaptive, evolving key, so that slicing the feed would be nearly impossible.

| He nodded some listening to Senator Veritas. The ship had indeed been tracked as leaving the system, as well as ships from the other planets that volunteered to assist Dantooine. He glanced at the figure that was Senator Veritas. "Senator, I will make one thing clear... we may be a small world, but that does not mean we are weak. There will be some hard feelings, as you granted your Admiral permission to dissolve my government and claim Dantooine as part of your supposed kingdom... unacceptable Senator. Clearly a man in your position would have though about better options rather then sending down such nonsense commands to your Military Personal." Sitting down in the chair, Exar would go for a drink. "All of this could have been avoided if you had simply communicated with me first. Military Action gives off the completely wrong impression, so you will forgive me if I do not seem so trusting of your actions.[/i"]
"[i]Now then, Senator. Let us attempt this dance again. You claim there is a terrorist group that operates on Dantooine. Ok. I will view your information that proves all of this. And TOGETHER... I will say it again, Senator... TOGETHER... we will root out this evil that dares threatens your people's way of life." Nodding some, he'd hit a few buttons that would allow the Senator to send the secured intelligence.

| ((Sorry for the lateness broseph, holidays, sickness, black friday, etc. Just as a note, I'll still be acting as if he's Defense Committee Chair in this thread))
He shook his head at how personal he was making this, and how he was sticking with the false rhetoric of entitlement. "Senator Ray, since I am unaware of your title as head of state despite your action in such function... at this time, I can't help but repeat myself, that I do not, nor have ever, judged a world simply upon size or population, let alone influence for that matter. Every world is unique, yours especially. I also ask that you read over the declaration delivered to your government, again, to find that you are wrong in your presumption that Admiral Octavius had orders to dissolve your government or make a sovereign claim upon your world. Acting as such would be unacceptable in the current circumstance, hence lack of presumed action on my government's part." he said, beginning to pace in the room; an subconscience expression of his annoyance with the chip Ray was carrying and the "poor me" attitude the man clearly had, as did many of the downtrodden of the galaxy. While he would never dare to say so to anyone; this entire episode was akin to a government agent showing up on the doorstep of a spice whore, notifying her that her welfare payments would be stopped. At least, that was how he thought of it, with Ray's outlandish claims and attempt at unseating him from the Defense Committee on an unrelated issue.
"You are indeed right, Senator, that this could have been avoided by this conversation occurring first, instead of last. It also could have been avoided had your world invested in the slightest in an intelligence community of its own. You want to show the universe your strength? Be capable of taking care of your own and keeping your criminals in line... be unreliant upon others and self-sufficient in all your affairs." he said to him, before abruptly cutting himself off. He needn't go into a lecture to the man on how to run his planet, no matter how much he needed it. He gathered his thoughts for a moment, before finally coming to a stand still and continuing.
"Transmitting the files now," and with the press of a button, several sanitized documents were transmitted faster than light to Ray's office in his bunker, through a quantum, evolutionary encryption system, ensuring no back-slicing could occur over the transmission, should a person even capable of the act live on Dantooine. "The first set of files relates to the affairs of a citizen of ours who had set up his business and home on your planet, by the name of Aldo Romano. He suffered a fire bombing of his business which was also his residence, with he and his family nearly dying in their escape. His employees, to whom he offered residence as well, were not so lucky and burned alive. Through Mr. Romano's accounts, we have deduced that 'Colonel' Vincent Le Grange, who leads a group known as the Garang Irregulars was behind the act. The Garang Irregulars, if you do not know, cover themselves in public as a firefighting unit. We believe they are associated with another group, called the People's Front of Dantooine or the People's Front of the Rim; they were the ones behind the attack on one of our moons. Unfortunately, we know not much in terms of leadership, let alone leadership; however, based upon current and past occurrences, they are originating their operations out of your system and made up of citizens of your world, and they are capable of galactic-scale operations at land, sea, air, or space." he said to him, with the relevant files streaming as he spoke of them.
He took a seat now, himself, pouring and then drinking in full a glass of amaretto. "Now, in terms of joint operations, what were your thoughts? I need something to relay to my government... so, special operations, clandestine intelligence, full scale military?" he asked, now wondering if the Ops was going to be needed to go all the way back to Dantooine upon its arrival at the edge of the Deralia System.
