The Cavalry had arrived, and it consisted of 2 DP-20 Frigates and four Nebulon B-class Frigates slid sleekly from hyperspace, along with four Skipray Blastboats. They moved towards the planet in a flotilla and posted the following announcement.

"We the people of Alsakan, believing that Deralia has launched a wrongful and unjustified invasion of Dantooine space, and compounded by their willingness to lie to the Senate about said operation, have taken the decision to enact a punitive blockade of Deralia in retribution. The citizens of Deralia are informed that their ports are closed and their craft are grounded - any who attempt to run our blockade will find themselves imprisoned and their vessels confiscated.

Any attempt to engage our vessels will be responded to in kind and will be considered an act of war against the people of Alsakan. We regret being forced to take this action (but are left with little other option to assure a speedy resolution to this situation) and hope that our presence compels King Deralius to take such steps as may be within his power to cause the immediate cessation of intervention on Dantooine and the immediate withdrawl of his vessels from there. If he does so, this blockade will retire from the Deralian system.

We also regret that this action may have a negative impact on the lives of some Deralian citizens and offer them our most heartfelt apology. We are aware that the people of Deralia may not support their government's actions and urge them to lobby their king and legislature to stop their world committing such travesties of justice in future."

The blockade then would form a battle line, the Skiprays would be dispatched to their various locations. One would go off to the moon to go and investigate the bombardment there and take scans, the other three (accompanied by a number of TIEs each) would move to intercept any attempts at running the blockade.

Not far from Deralia and its blockade, a pair of Law-class light patrol craft emerged from hyperspace. transmitting their identification to the lead Alsakan fleet, the began to circle the planet and its blockade, rolling holocam footage. Domon, always the moderator, or so he tried, had ordered that a watch be kept over Deralia and its blockade. He had watched carefully the situation between Druckenwell and Alsakan when Monor II had been the issue and, as such, expected Terrawin would pull some stunt of this kind.

There were three DP20 Frigates on the edge of the Deralia system, conducting customs duty, when the Alsakan forces penetrated their underrated system defenses and began blockading the planet of Deralia. There were other inhabited worlds in system, and these would not cease their travel. Neither would the countless vessels traveling to and from Deralia. Call it stubbornness, a notable cultural trait of the Deralians, but they did not recognize the demands of the Alsakans... for they were not in the wrong, in their minds.

After some moments, when it become clear that the Deralians were not going to acknowledge the Alsakan demands, the Deralian Planetary Traffic Control director contacted the Alsakan flagship. "Attention Alsakan forces, you have no authority in this system. You are ordered, in the name of King Deralius XX, to leave the system at once. Our ports will remain open, and traffic will proceed as scheduled. Any attack on a vessel in our system, Deralian or otherwise, will be treated as an act of war. The Ops is on course to return to Deralia, and upon its arrival, should you still be within the system, our government will have no choice but to declare war upon Alsakan and destroy your fleet. You have until the arrival of the Ops to depart the system."

Commodore Harkin of the Alsakan Navy certainly admired the moxy from the three ships. Dantooine was many hours flight away (it being hard to be further away than Dantooine while still remaining in the Galaxy), and there was no way the three corvettes could stand up to the massed battlegroup for even a fraction of that time. Once they were eliminated, it would be very simple to trash the Deralian Flagship also, overwhelming it with superior numbers and firepower.

Sadly, that was not within his mandate. And, content with forcing Veritas into a humiliating retreat from Dantooine he ordered his ships turn about and bear off towards deep space. They saw to confirmation from the vessels at Dantooine that the Deralians had been confirmed to jump to hyperspace at Dantooine, seeing to it they made a swift jump away.

"Thank you for your compliance Deralia, be good in future. We are very glad you ordered the retreat from Dantooine without us being forced to take action against your world. Best regards." came the message from the Alsakan fleet.

Just as with Druckenwell at Monor II, Deralia had been gamed.
