(( Note: This post was meant to be running at the same time as The Blockade of Deralia and the various events at Dantooine. Unfortunately, blackouts and the passing of a dear friend and mentor have postponed this post, so please be kind when allowing the slight time bend. ))

A solitary Theta-class shuttle broke into realspace beyond Rinn's protective asteroid belt, yet far enough from any gravity well so as to be able to flee quickly. The hyperdrives even began cycling back up as it entered; the better to be prepared. Their purpose was to conduct a scan of the system and ascertain what ships lay within. At their leaving, it had been a number of Alsakan vessels. Ideally, this had changed seeing as the galactic issues had shifted and Separatists were less on the galactic menu than other politics. It was deemed a worthy time to rescue the remnant that, while unimportant, had been stranded on Rinn and could be useful.

No Alsakan vessels were present anymore.. However, the Empire might still have vessels thereabouts.

On the plains of Rinn, a solitary long-range sensor with a small, dedicated power generator would log the presence of the Theta-class shuttle, which, because of disparate incidents that Imperial Intelligence had pieced together, had come to be associated with Separatists and, presumably, Shiva. No other ship would have garnered as much attention, but here it seemed Shiva's predictability was to his detriment. A red flag would definitely be raised—Shiva was still interested in Rinn.

Yes indeed, the Theta-class was Shiva's trademark, much like Hitler's mustache. The shuttle itself would still scan the system rather quickly, attempting to find, besides a lack of Alsakan vessels, any vessels or installations of any type in the surrounding area. The transmitter on the plains would be in danger from a different sort. Providing it had no escorts or static defenses, it stood the chance of being dismantled and carried away by Tintinna either allied with or unallied with Shiva, simply for the fact that it was shiny, and since it was shiny and mechanical, it was at risk.

The sensor wasn't intended to be permanent. Indeed, its power generator wasn't even weather-proofed and would break down in some months. The Tintinna would have an interest in letting it be, however—the Empire had (presumably) demonstrated to them, as the planet was pounded from the sky and the homes of the Tintinna as well as Shiva's base of operations were destroyed, how empty Shiva's promises were and how his might paled in comparison to that of the Empire; an Empire that had, until Shiva's presence on their world, left them to their own devices. Now, the Tintinna had paid a dire price for siding with a Separatist, and that price was still on display in the smoldering ruins of the once proud constructions that Shiva had erected on the planet.

Any of the Tintinna who might still have some regard for the "Shadowlord" would no doubt be subject to the scorn of his peers, who wanted no more destruction wrought on their homes. For when the Empire had come it hadn't discriminated among friend or foe. All of Rinn had been subject to its wrath—all of it in the vicinity of Shiva's bases, that is. The fact that the Empire hadn't stopped at bombardment but gone even further and unleashed its strange and frightening predators (the shipment of Nexu's that the Magnum had confiscated on its way to Rinn) on those who remained would be fresh in the racial memory of the Tintinna.

The sensor hadn't harmed anyone. Indeed, since Shiva had been turned out things had returned to a semblance of "normal." With Tintinna being sentient creatures, it was probable that a desire for self-preservation would override their desire for shiny things.

If the Empire had indeed bombed and destroyed Shiva's complex; burned it out along with its tunnel network and mountain stronghold, then they likely had little reason to believe Shiva would still be alive; after all, his last holographic transmission had been sent from the surface of Rinn, within the fortified complex, to the Alsakan forces who had come to the planet. With the base destroyed as well, and evidence of such, the Theta shuttle would simply turn and jump for hyperspace. With nothing left to rescue on Rinn, there was no point in further operations. It was simply better to cut the small losses they'd suffered for greater goals in the long run.
