| "Ah, there you are!" Proclaimed, with a slap on the side of the man's arm as he struggled to eat some of the snacks as he attempted the action. Seeing a few more Senators arriving, Draken would look at Senator Thantos before breaking contact to look back at Stark. "Might I say, Mr. Stark... that these balls are delicious! I must have the ingredient for them!" Laughed the bald Senator, again giving another slap. "I have to say, that I like the interior design of this castle... makes Senator Ryuun's tie look outdated!" Again the Senator would give a hearty laugh, fixing his armband. Listening to Senator volFyr mention dancing, he could not help but add in. "I call first dibs with dancing with Miss Galaxy!" In reference to her beauty, smiling at her. Looking back at Toben, he nodded some. "So, Toben... when can Acherin's military expect the first batch of your cargo vessels? We are greatly looking forward to them!" Reaching into his leather coat, he'd produce a few data-pads that would explain the ship. Handing Lord Stark his own one, he'd pass along the others hoping they would share. "Toben and myself have created a cargo ship, coming from the very design of a Separatist C-9979 cargo ship with many upgrades that will benefit the Empire and her people! With Toben's brains, we have produced quite a cargo vessel. I can assure everyone that they are well worth it!" He began eating again.

| Accepting Stark's greeting, Ryuun gave a rare smile from his overly-serious face. "A pleasure to meet you at last as well, Lord Stark. Quite a delightful piece of legislature you cooked up in the Senate. It has passed with no dissenting votes, so I hear." Ryuun wrinkled his nose slightly at Tu'Rot's words; the man would always appear churlish and uncouth to the old-fashioned Ryuun, but in such a setting as this, Tu'Rot would have to be tolerated. Looking over the datapad that was handed to him while giving a nod of greeting to both Senator Thanatos and her husband and Senator Cerra and... well, whomever the gentleman was with her, Ryuun studied the designs. "I have to admit, Toben, you and Senator Tu'Rot managed to do a rather nice number on this item. Bravo indeed, gentlemen. Perhaps Druckenwell might purchase a few."

| "Good to make your acquaintance, Lord Stark," Domon said a little stiffly. Being the only nonhuman present, Domon did feel a tad out-of-place, no matter how hard he tried to fit in. Nonetheless, he adapted as well as he could in such times. He shook Stark's hand in the human fashion before easing back to rest upon his powerful tail section, held upright as easy as a human would be by their knees. He noted Senators Thanatos and Cerra entering but, as he did not know them well, merely acknowledged them with a brief nod for the moment. The talk turned to the ship design; something Domon felt much more comfortable with.
"Well, Senator Tu'Rot, that all depends on you. I'll need to know how many you wish to start out with. We have a single unit undergoing prototype flights; testing the engines, weapon systems and all that. The good news is that we may be able to cut back the current crew estimates by twenty-five percent for the second generation craft. Of course, that may cause us to loose a few points on the hyperdrive, but a slightly slower speed in hyperspace versus paying more crew means that the profits should be slightly more in our favor."

| (( I humbly apologize, ladies and gentlemen. A few of my fellow work comrades misplaced their body parts, so we lost internet for a few days. ))
It was a rather wicked, if quick wink that Stark shot to Ja'nar; one her handsome companion was likely to catch and one that Stark's personality and temperament was quite unable to resist giving. Then Avadrie rejoined the small group of males and queried on the music, an item Stark, the perfect host, had hardly forgotten. "My dear, dear Senator volFyr, what kind of soiree would this be without some dancing? I'm afraid all I can offer are the succulent sounds of the Lorrdian Orchestra." He raised his left hand in a lowering gesture, apparently to some unseen servant, and the lights dimmed slightly, staying lit at the far end of the dining hall where the curtains parted on an elaborate dais, upon which were seated (or stood) nearly two-dozen finely-dressed males and females of human persuasion who began to play a soft melody, perfect for dancing a waltz to. Stark truly had spared no expense for this dinner; he'd organized music for the classic-lovers, a more modern-day band for those who enjoyed the faster-paced music (waiting in the wings, of course) and a wide selection of popular songs from each of his guests' homeworlds.
Breaking away slightly from the group, he moved to greet Senator Thanatos warmly. "Senator! So glad you and your husband could make the trip! I am most pleased to see you here! Come, come, join us!" He moved back to the main party, a social butterfly in fine form, just in time to peer over the designs of Domon and Tu'Rot's information. Perusing the data, he replied to the Acherin senator, "I can certainly have the chef pull up his recipe, though I can hardly force her to give out all her secrets." He gave Tu'Rot a sly grin as he went on. "I thank you for the compliment. The building of this castle; indeed, six or seven castles in all, though the others are easy to overlook, required much work. For any of you who wish a full tour of my small domain, simply let me know and it can be organized on the morrow.
"By the by, Senator Ryuun, your tie is quite fine. A taste of the old days, I must say. Senators Domon and Tu'Rot, you've quite outdone yourselves! I daresay GalacticAid will purchase a dozen of these vessels right out!"

| She clapped shortly and appreciatively as Alyn Stark had the Lorrdian Orchestra revealed. Affairs such as this were the kind of political get togethers that she didn't mind at all. As the orchestra started to play, she'd go and grab Tu'Rot by the arm and tug him towards an open part of the floor, largely whether or not he wanted to. The lady wanted to dance.
"You simply must dance with me then!"
As she took his hand and placed it on her side, and took his other hand with hers, the Acherin Senator would find Avadrie to be an impeccable dancer, fleet on her feet and well trained by the finishing schools of Empress Teta to dance well enough to make their partner look to be an excellent dancer as well (even if they weren't, it is considered good taste in the somewhat patriarchal world of the aristocratic class within Empress Teta, for a woman to not make a man look bad wherever it could be avoided)
The music was playing, people were talking, the servants were moving about and keeping the crowd happy - and as the lighthearted woman Senator insisting that there be dancing, Avadrie was moving well along in her usual activity of keeping herself below the radar as anything but a loyal, whole hearted supporter of the Empire (as well as a bit of a flirt and a tart - after all, women were much better seen and not heard, unless it was of course about something as fitting her station as supporting the military or humanitarian aid).
In her mind, such behavior (her general behavior as a traditional woman) and such pro Imperial view points earned her more credibility and support in the Senate than more outspoken and more radical views might, and there is simply nothing more disarming than the beautiful smile of a woman that wants to dance. She went a long way obviously, to hide that she was in fact rather intent on replacing the Empire with one of her own, and that she was able to use the Force.

| Ja’nar was not going to be a wall flower all evening as she made her way to the group of men. She had only truly met Stark before this evening but Senator Ryuun seemed to be fairly like minded as herself, which meant he was alright, actually everyone who had been invited were friendly in Ja’nar’s opinion except for Avadrie, there was something about the woman and her views within the senate that irked the Queen. Ja’nar’s tall, dark, and handsome shadow followed her, staying near to her, not truly trusting anyone in the room. Could she blame him though? The Empire had torn his world apart and now, he was sworn to destroy it, views that he kept to himself, especially in mixed company. Ja’nar would greet each in the group with a smile, “Senators. Alyn”.

| As the Senator from the Empress Teta system grabbed him to dance, Draken fell into the swing of the movements, following off of her and sometimes leading with her following suit. Draken took dance lessons as a kid and kept up with them... sometimes. But he was not rusty. "Excellent as always, Senator!" The Senator proudly proclaimed as he instructed the band to speed up the music.

| She glanced to Kal when he came up beside her, and she slid her arm into his to link them together. "It's alright..." Ilanah murmured as she squeezed his arm gently. There was an understanding there, but she knew that she would have to talk to him about his work at a later time. It was starting to worry her more than it should.
Ilanah offered a small smile to Alyn Stark as he greeted her, and the same to the others that did as well. "I was sure that Senator Fowlkes would come as well, Lord Stark. Did he not respond?" She asked, a bit concerned. There was the issue with the Senator's girlfriend that concerned her, but she was trying to stay positive that he could keep the woman under control. Her gaze went out to the dance floor where Avadrie was now dragging Senator Tu'Rot onto the floor. A small smirk crossed her face for a moment at the eagerness to dance.
She turned her gaze back to Lord Stark then. "Your home is lovely. Thank you for inviting us."

| She smiled as Senator Tu'rot complimented her and called for the band to speed up the music. As the Acherin Senator spun her around as they moved about the dance floor, she was sincerely relaxed and enjoying herself.
In another life perhaps, if her parents hadn't died in a vehicle accident. If her sister had been willing to raise her, if she hadn't been the lonely, angry young woman that Madame Pencron took under her wing, she might be nothing more than what she at the moment appeared to be, a beautiful young woman, an aristocrat raised to be a socialite. Of course, it also wouldn't be correct to state that her every action was calculated, she wasn't after all, a full fledged evil mastermind, just a young woman with a mere taste of powers that she didn't even truly begin to comprehend.
"You're an astute dancer, sir!" She complimented Draken in return, and then she pulled away from him as she dipped in a polite curtsy before clapping as the music stopped while the band was changing songs. She wasn't bothered that she and Tu'rot were the only pair dancing, it after all wasn't a large affair, and she was also the only lady Senator that hadn't brought a date - but that had been calculated. And it rather close to the truth to say that she loved dancing, even so much in that her career in the Senate was also a dance of sorts.
A line between loyal Imperial and compassionate traditionally feminine views. Her strategy of course, was that as she openly supported the Empire and its ways, when she presented legislation or opposed it in the Senate, she wasn't personally attacked like many Senators would be, instead - in the most patronizing sense possible - her views were tolerated by hardliners due to the reality that her viewpoints were routinely pro Imperial, if with the slight hint of a woman's touch. Combine that with a pretty smile and a generally submissive manner, and a prototypical female Imperial Senator appears.
"Do you dance much on Acherin?" She asked, as the band was shuffling its sheets in preparation of the next song.

| "Senator Cerra, a pleasant evening to you," Ryuun welcomed the senator of Garos IV even as the band struck up its music and Senator volFyr whisked Tu'Rot away for a dance. While an apt dancer in the formal scene, Ryuun was not exceptionally fond of dancing, which left him in the small huddle of Senators and their escorts who'd been brought, namely Thanatos' husband and Cerra's... well, whatever he was. Date, perhaps? Ja'nar Cerra did have a sordid reputation, after all, but Ryuun did not judge on reputation alone. For the moment, he wanted some time to speak with Stark, but it would be too rude to tear him away from his guests just yet.

| Toben inclined his head, bowing at the waist while his tail section supported his body. "Ah, the lovely Senator Cerra of Garos IV, a pleasure indeed," was his manner of greeting. Toben Domon was starting to feel at least slightly more at ease as time went on, and it appeared all the humans here bore him no malice for his race. With the issues he face in the Senate, largely from Imperial hardliners, it was hard for even a loyalist alien to get ahead. Alas, the price of Human High Culture, but it was something Domon bore stoically.

| Watching Avadrie and Draken whirl out to the dance floor, Stark smiled faintly for a moment, watching them before turning back to his guests. "My dear, dear Senator Cerra, or if I may still call you Ja'nar, as I hope? Welcome, welcome to my humble home." Shifting fluidly from left to right foot, he half-turned to address Senator Thanatos and her husband. "A mere patch on the home I am sure you have on beautiful Chandrila. It is my pleasure to have your husband yourself here this evening. As to the esteemed Senator Fowlkes, I fear I've not heard hide nor hair of him, though I dearly hope he will show at the last moment. Please, please, make yourselves at home. Eat, drink, dance if you wish and enjoy this place. It is so rare for me to be able to host visitors here that the presence of all livens this room greatly."

| The Telosian had only made an arrival recently. He had to go into several business matters in the Outer Rim, especially something to do with his own companies. Then he had to take some time off to spend some time with his fiancee, Jalaila. He had put the beautiful lady through a lot, so it was proper to give her a littie time off before coming to Lorrd. The pair, along with a couple of bodyguards, had arrived inside a Theta-class shuttle. Even with the bodyguards, the soldier inside him had himself prepared. There was a palmgun strapped and hidden away some distance from the wrist, in addition to a combat knife strapped and hidden away right below the left knee. The man like to come prepared, this may just be a dinner party but this event has a lot of high profile targets. He needed to defend himself should violence arise.
He was dressed in a business-like attire. A black pants, a white sleeve shirt with all the buttons (the top one was unbuttoned), a black jacket, and a shiny black shoes was what he wore. Jalaila's left hand holding his right arm, the Telosian would walk into Lord Stark's estate. It was rather fancy. Little too fancy for his taste, though. Tremaine was truly the people's politican unlike many within the Senate, and he intend to show that at the dinner party. The pair would, of course, get to where the party was at. For a change, he wasn't the first person there. He would see that there were a few people already showing up before he had. None of the O-Heads had shown up. What a shame.
He was still pleased with the current company. There were his good friend Lana and that Inquisitor husband of his, he still didn't trust the guy. There was Ja'nar, a good friend of his. The rest he wasn't really close with, but perhaps it would at least be an interesting evening for him and Jalaila.

| (( Folks, in the interest of keeping the thread going, let's assume Ja'nar is in a background role and when she returns from her cruise, she can make allowances and decisions on any outcomes of the thread as her own while she was absent. Ja'nar, have a safe cruise! ))
It was odd that of all people, Tremaine Fowlkes would be the first to learn something about the non-intrusive defensive measures of Castle Stark. Castles, after all, were fortresses, and the term fortress more than applied to Stark's personal, extravagant abode. On passing through the doors from landing bay to castle proper, Fowlkes, Jalaila and the bodyguards would pass through a digital imaging imaging device not unlike those utilized by the TSA scanners in airports. Shortly after passing through the doors, a steward would meet with those entering and briefly request a moment of Fowlkes' time. It would be explained to the good senator that weapons would not be permitted within the dining hall, and if he wished his weapons and those carried by his guards to be held while they were within, the steward would be more than happy to stow said items for the senator. Afterwards, Fowlkes and his party would be able to pass on to the party itself.

| It was true. The last few weeks of Jalaila Kelrune's life had been incredibly difficult. Tremaine had just wanted to show her "the light", or so it seemed. He had done that, rather, Havoc had. The last few weeks had also been fabulous in the same breath. She loved Tremaine, so the rest of it didn't matter. More importantly, she trusted him, and he was the first person she had trusted fully in her entire life. She had no reason not to, not anymore.
Jalaila felt confident as she walked into the castle, her left hand wrapped around Tremaine's arm as a dazzling diamond sparkled on a very important finger. She was dressed in a shimmery bronze gown (that happened to set of her uniquely colored topaz eyes-that at first glance could almost seem inhuman in nature) and black high heels. Despite the stilettos, she was still shorter than Fowlkes, but glamorous all the same.
The security measures hardly bothered her, and once they were through, she would stick with him. The only other person there that she had met face to face was Senator Thanatos and her spouse, the rest she only recognized from the Senate building.
