| Rear Admiral Brogan's superiority fleet emerged from hyperspace as per doctrine in regards to entering a likely hostile system; that is to say, all ships arrived just inside the edge of the system and engaged shields primarily, then scanners, both long and short range, while also warming up weapons. In the order the ships arrived, certain craft took additional actions. The Carrack-class cruisers Redoubt, Solaris and Night Sky all launched their fighters, five TIEs per ship allowing for a total of fifteen. These fighters, along with the pair of Lancer-class frigates Reliant and Horn, who currently were spaced out between the trio of Carrack cruisers were the initial wave of assault, should Rall's forces be present.
Behind this line, the pair of Strike-class cruisers Dauntless and Spire, both configured for space superiority, released two of three squadrons of TIE fighters apiece, giving the second line a skirmish break of forty-eight fighters in space, while withholding one squadron per ship in reserve. After this line came the lone EF76 frigate Dorash, whose high-ability sensors would be sweeping the space around them even as a squadron of TIEs launched from its bay.
At the tail end came the Cloak, flanked above and to the rear by the pair of Tartan-class cruisers Shrike and Phobos. The Shatter had not yet appeared though, part of Brogan's plan. Even as all vessels began to move deeper into the system, Brogan ordered numerous situation reports, showing all craft ready. each line held a minimum or fifteen kilometers between them, and all ships were spaced so that no one shot could easily strike any two ships.

| The moment the vessels dropped from hyperspace the base on the surface had already picked them up, mere moments after shooting off a quick transmission to the fleet above, it was covered in a jamming signal, making it invisible to all scans beyond that of the naked eye. Rall had arrive hours before, bringing with him a couple of new Sabaoth Destroyers to help bolster his fleet, his men already having a plan set into place. Sitting between Queyta and its moon was one of the freighters, slowly spinning to make it look as if it had been hit by pirates, a distress call coming from it. It was a ploy though, Rall's men using it to draw in the first line as the Sabaoth Destroyers waited to strike.
In the asteroid field near Queyta was the rest of Rall's fleet. Two Munificent Star Frigates, and a modified Trade Federation Bacta ship, the vessels kept hidden by the shifting asteroids. Rall stood ready on the main ship, waiting for the enemy to make their first move.

| An asteroid belt 'near Queyta' covered a lot of distance. Presumably, it was in some form of line and, if it were dense enough to shield fully from sensors a pair of Munificent-class star frigates and a Trade Federation Bacta Ship, it would also likely be too dense for said vessels to maneuver through, let alone fire in and out of with any ease, not to mention threaten their shields with the asteroids themselves. As such, it could well be a tossup as to whether or not the 'hidden' ships were spotted easily; for the moment though, they were not, but a close sensor scan was kept across the asteroid belt, for it was an obvious spot for an ambush.
On the bridge of the Cloak, Rear Admiral Brogan considered the relatively empty system with the obviously innocuous freighter spinning slowly there. "Redoubt, have your TIEs do a quick flyby on that freighter. Look for external damage and run active scans. We're playing this one cautiously, folks. They're here with us. I can smell their stench." Pausing to shut off the comm, he turned to the flight officer on the bridge. "Deploy three squadrons plus the bombers. I want the six Skipyrays we have running interference to our rear. Prep the Sentinels for launch and place the Lambda shuttles on standby."
The quintet of TIE fighters from the Redoubt sped out and away from their formation at maximum speed, preparing to do a rapid flyover of the freighter, splitting their formation at the last moment so as to cover all angles and not make easy targets of themselves. Indeed, Jeremy Brogan had made the first move.

| The freighter continued to slowly spin, atmosphere venting from it, giving off a white cloud of vapor into the dark expanse of space. Scars of battle shown on the exterior, along with the hull breaches that shown it had been struck by more than a few laser cannon burst along with a couple of torpedo hits that pushed the hull in with a starburst form. Inside the vessel though Valin had ordered a handful of explosives be placed, a fitting fragmentation trap that was sure to tear apart any fighters that would get to close to it, the charges though would only be set off at the right time, when they knew enough vessels were close that it would cause enough damage. For the moment the freighter continued its circular spin between the moon and Queyta.
Waiting in the wind, so to speak, were the two Sabaoth Destroyers, their shields up and weapons ready. They had picked up the message sent to them from the base below about the location of the fleet that was moving in against the base. They needed to draw the first line in closer though, it was a stroke of luck though that the enemy had smaller vessels defending the rear flank of the Cloak, the biggest target, as well as the one ship they needed to worry about the most. With in the asteroid field the star frigates kept close watch on the asteroids near them, of course with them being dragged in and put in place on purpose, far enough from too strong of a gravity field of Queyta, they didn't have too much to worry with them drifting too close to their vessels.
Rall slowly paced back and forth on the bridge of the frigate, waiting for the sign that the freighter had exploded before he would move. His vessels were waiting now as the freighter continued to slowly spin in space, waiting for the fighters to get closer.

| The quintet of fighters still circled the craft at a safe distance, scanning both with visual abilities and sensors. Most Imperial pilots fresh from the academy might have flown in for a closer look, but the majority of Brogan's men, being veterans of the vicious, underhanded pirate fights in the Abrion Sector knew, as their higher-ups did, to approach situations as this more cautiously. "Cloak, this is Scout Flight Alpha Lead. Ship looks dead in space, it has puncture holes and it looks like the thing took a few torpedo hits. Don't quite see how it survived this well."
On board the Cloak, the TacCom officer acknowledged and relayed orders for the fighters to return to position. Watching from the bridge, Rear Admiral Brogan gave a small grin to the comm officer. "We may as well do this thing right, Lieutenant. Set channels for open broadcast, as far as our reach can go." Clearing his throat and waiting for the nod from the lieutenant, Brogan began to speak. "Any and all inhabitants of this system: you are ordered by the Empire to stand down any weapons, ships or defenses and standby to be searched. This sector has been marked for Imperial cleansing and additional forces will be along shortly. Rear Admiral Brogan out."
Looking faintly amused as the lieutenant returned the frequencies to normal channels for fleet communication, Brogan gave a sigh. "Well, that clears up the responsibility portion. If there is anyone still here, they've been warned. Let's get this mission underway. We need a scan of the asteroids and of the planet. Assign Scout Flight Alpha to give us a quick report on that asteroid belt. Don't send them in too far, but pop in and out here and there; see what they can. It's a blind spot, gentlemen, and we need our eyes. Have Scout Flight Bravo from the Solaris do an atmospheric flyby on the planet." Brogan turned away to consider one of the sensors when the TacCom officer cleared his throat. "Sir, the freighter? There's still a distress call originating from it."
This time, Brogan smile was quite humorless. "This is an unfriendly sector, lieutenant. Destroy it." Moments later, the order would be given to the closest vessels, who were still just under maximum range to the freighter, and center-most Carrack, Solaris, would open fire with a pair of turbolasers. It was as Brogan said: there were no friendlies in this Sector unless they were Imperial.

| A beeping in the freighter began to emit from it, having detected the fighters doing a sweeping pass, yet staying out of range. Within the freighter the explosives that had been set up began to click, a burst of steam shooting from the freighter as the explosive canisters where fired out, throwing them closer to the fighters, yet it would be difficult to say if they were close enough, the canisters quickly burst in a bright explosion, sending fragments of the canisters out into space, hopefully taking one or two of the fighters by surprise. A few moments later an internal charge tore the freighter apart, sending larger pieces of the vessel out from the center, throwing them closer to the fighters and hopefully hitting one or two of them. The explosions where picked up by Rall and the fleet, the attack had begun. They had to move fast now and they couldn't let up on the attack.
The asteroids closest to the Cloak and it's guard of Skiprays and Tartan vessels began to move, the large chunks that had once been planetoids or even once a small spec of dust were pushed forward, being thrown into the enemy fleet. From behind the asteroids the two Star Frigates pushed forward, waiting until the chucks on rock were either destroyed by the enemy, or struck against their hulls. Their weapons quickly picking up on the smaller vessels as the two pushed towards the rear of the Cloak, their weapons targeting the Star Destroyer with the Long Range Heavy Ion Cannons before a loud roar came across the bridge, "FIRE!" The Heavy Ion Cannons let off a volley of fire before the Heavy Prow Turbolasers were swung around and began to fire at the rear of the cloak. Letting their smaller weapons deal with the Skiprays as the Light Turbolaser Cannons and Point Defense Laser Cannons took aim and began to let off a torrent of fire.
From the front of the fleet the two Sabaoth class Destroyers pulled forward, taking aim at the closest Carrack that had begun to fire on the freighter. Their Capital Class Cannons taking aim and firing as the point defense cannons took aim at the fighters and began to let off their own rapid fire. The hangers of the two Sabaoths opened up as the squadrons of Vulture droids quickly tore into space as they picked up the enemy fighters on their scanners, their own blistering volley of fire following shortly behind.

| While the pilots were indeed very experienced, there was always that element of unpredictable nature that could strike, and indeed, it did. The explosive canisters and their deadly payloads worked to extreme effect on two of the unshielded TIE fighters, shredding them and their occupants before the pilots had time to react. Then the shuttle blew, spreading pieces of itself about space. One fighter was struck a glancing blow that bent the top corner of one of his solar panels, but left him alive and semi-maneuverable. The greatest enemy they faced was concussion, which left all three surviving pilots momentarily stunned.
The problem with moving asteroids, especially those that had been 'large chunks that had once been planetoids,' was that neither of the Munificent-class star freighters were equipped with tractor beams. Shooting the asteroids to attempt to move them would likely just cause them to fragment, and Brogan's fleet was at a distance that would make such explosive fragments irrelevant. This left pushing the asteroids, which if what was done, would either greatly weaken or drain the shields of the ships or damage the hulls themselves. Even if this were not so, the Cloak and its battlegroup had never passed through any asteroid field, which would mean for the moment it was impossible for the pair of Separatist vessels to have maneuvered behind them without being noticed. The asteroid belt, therefor, was likely to some quadrant to the front, in this particular case, off the port side as the ship was facing the planet.
Even as the targeting was locked on, the ECM operator on the bridge called out, "High energy signatures, mark three-two-two! Sixteen kilometers! Weapon signatures!" Then the shots from the ion cannons and heavy turbolaser cannons struck the full-powered shields of the Cloak. The ship shook briefly and the shield operator called out his readouts. "Shields down to ninety percent." His call was followed by the weapons officer, right on his heels. "Weapons report ships in range." "Fire at will, Master Gunner." The cool reply came from Brogan, who was now rather extremely amused. The Separatist vessels had sacrificed the extreme range of their guns to try and ambush him. Of course, needless to say, as the ships were not behind the Cloak, they obviously could not fire on the vessels behind it or the rear of the ship.
The Cloak could not bring all of its heavy weapons to bear, but three of it's dual heavy turbolaser turrets, one dual heavy ion cannon turret and one of its quad heavy turbolasers could bear easily, and all the weapons listed spat death at the closest Munificent, gunners aiming at the prow turbolaser mount and the sides of the ship whenever possible. Three squadrons of TIE fighters and a squadron of Sentinel-class landing craft shot out from where they'd positioned below the Star Destroyer, heading 'under' relative to the enemy ships and aiming 'downwards' in an arc that would take them below the pair of craft. On the Cloak, Brogan issued further orders. "Helm, bring us about to face them. Lower the bow to maximize firepower and have the Dorash and her fighters close to engage."
The pair of Sabaoth destroyers were relatively lightly armed, with six heavy turbolaser cannons each, as well as assorted laser cannons. Between them and the two squadrons of Vulture fighters, the easiest prey would be the stunned trio of TIE pilots, who quickly perished. Fortunately, there was still a good ten kilometers between the larger ships, so fire would be slightly less accurate. The closest Carrack, Solaris, was struck several times along the body, weakening shields. The problem though, was that the Carrack-class was at least as large as their enemies, if not a bit longer, and better armed. The Solaris responded in tanget with its two sister ships, opening up with a combined total of at least twenty heavy turbolasers while a combined total of thirty-six laser cannons would send a wall of death out towards the two squadrons of fighters. Above the trio of ships, ten TIE fighters, all that had survived from the trio of light cruisers, headed to meet the enemy fighters above the laser-cannon fire.
From the left flank, the Dauntless and Spire both launched their remaining squadrons of fighters and maneuvered around to strike the Sabaoths from said flank, accompanied by seventy-two TIE fighters moving ahead of them.\

| The two Munificent Star Frigates continued to unleash a heavy barrage against the Cloak from their Prow Turbolasers and Heavy Ion Cannons, the movement of the ISD though gave away it's intent to bring to bear all of its heavy weapons. At that moment the order was given, as the guns continued to fire the two Frigates where pushed nose first into a dive, their engines bursting with full speed as the vessels pushed downward in an attempt to push themselves under the fire of the ISD. As the two Star Frigates pushed into the dive, it brought their own weapons to bear against the ISD, their main batteries of Twin Turbolaser Cannons unleashed a heavy barrage of their own coupled with the Prow Turbolaser cannons and Heavy Ion Cannons. The weapons aiming for the underside of the ISD as they continued their dives to push beneath their enemy. As the two vessels dove down they picked up the flight of TIE fighters and Sentinel landing craft, the point defense laser cannons began to track and target the fighters, throwing out their own barrier of laser cannon fire to discourage their advance against the pair of ships.
The closest of the Munificents to the Cloak shook as it was struck by the enemies weapons, their own still firing strong though as shielding was routed to ensure the safety and protection of their heavy guns. In the mean time though they were able to pull up their own Flak Guns, heavy defensive weapons as a pair of them where angled upwards from their firing position to aim for the ISD. The gunners shook on their positions as the massive weapons threw out burst after burst of weapons fire against the Cloak. Rall knew though that his own fleet couldn't stand up too long against the Empires, he didn't have enough ships. The order had been given though, all ships were to prepare to jump to hyperspace when the order was given. The two Munificent Star Frigates engines began to power up as they were getting ready.
It was lucky enough that the Vulture droids were like all droids in a sense, and they had not been memory wiped like many others. Rall couldn't afford to lose wave after wave of Vulture droids without a way to replace them, as such only a couple continued forward into the barrier of laser cannon fire put down by the enemy, the remaining droids had been smart enough through experience earned in the Clone Wars to pull back at the last moment, saving themselves as they returned back to the two Sabaoth Destroyers, two vessels that Rall didn't want to lose. For the moment though their flank was protected by the moon that orbited Queyta, making an approach by fighters a difficult one from the pull of the moons gravity. The order though had been given and the Sabaoths had called back their own fighters that continued to dock until the last one was in, the two vessels powering up their hyperdrive engines and preparing to jump out of the system.
The last ship was a single modified Bacta ship that the Trade Federation once had used as a carrier. The vessel that had been watching from high above the asteroids and out of the fray was recording the movements and formations of the Imperial fleet that had been sent. Just having the recording to analyze for weaknesses and flaws was a boon as its own engines where prepped and ready for the ship to jump. Rall waited patiently on his Munificent, it was easy enough, a small fire fight to get a bit of data on the enemy as he gave the order. Hours before the base had been stripped off all possessions and information, anything that was of use and could still be used was pulled from its fittings and put aboard the Hardcell transports that Rall had. The last of which had just finished loading up and broke the atmosphere before the world of Queyta, away from the fighting, leaving nothing less then a hallowed husk of a base left. It was sad that he'd have to relocate again, but it was needed. Lucky enough for them they were able to pull the weapons from one of the two diamond class cruisers and load them onto the last hard cell leaving the planet, parts from the de-armed ship would serve well as it was canabalized to repair the second diamond class cruiser. Its engines beginning to power up as it escorted the last hard cell off planet, the two sending a last message before jumping out of the system.
It was that message that Rall was waiting for. This wasn't an ambush, it was a stalling movement to give enough time to finish the packing before the vessels hyperdrives powered up. One by one the ships began to jump from the system, heading it different directions to ensure that the bulk of the fleet wasn't captured or hit at a point they would exit. The Bacta ship was first after the diamond class cruiser and hard cell, followed by the Saboaths that jumped from the system, the last two, the Star Frigates where next. The one that had been closest to the ISD jumped first, heading off in its own direction before Rall nodded to his crew, the vessel quickly jumping on its own path, leaving Brogan and his fleet alone in the system.

| Rall's pair of star frigates were indeed dangerous opponents, and their blasts were wearing down the shields of the Star Destroyer. Still, the larger the weapon, the longer it took to 'cycle' so to speak, and the heavy prow turbolasers and long-range heavy ion cannons would understandably take more time to cycle than the smaller weapons on the ship. Attempting to bring both large vessels down and under the Cloak was a bold plan. However, it did have a major drawback, and that was the orientation of the Cloak: turning towards them with the bow lowered. This simply meant the Star Destroyer could keep them in line with itself while maneuvering to keep the underside away from the Separatists.
"Shields at eighty percent." The calm voice of the officer came over the bridge as Brogan considered his enemies. Their diving maneuver would only serve, between the distance they'd have to travel and the Cloak's turning ability, to bring them further into the larger vessel's sights. After all, the larger the vessel, the slower it accelerated its mass. "Sir, Separatist vessels are cycling hyperdrives!" Brogan cursed. The Shatter should have been here by now. "Concentrate all fire on that closest Munificent. Maximum firepower. I want it blown out of space. Track any ship that jumps and follow it as best as can be done." The gunners on the Cloak complied as the orders were passed down; all fire was now concentrated on the closest ship, which would stand a great chance of sustaining some very debilitating damage. By the time the pair of star frigates would be able to pass 'beneath' the Cloak, the Star Destroyer's reorientation would have been nearly complete; it's dropping bow kept in line with the pair of enemy craft, allowing it to present a full weapons profile. All batteries available opened fire: all six dual heavy turbolaser turrets, both dual heavy ion cannon turrets, the deadly pair of quad heavy turbolasers, the trio of triple medium turbolasers and at least thirty of the XX-9 heavy turbolasers and an equal number of NK-7 ion cannons cut loose against the solitary closest Munificent, while the ten tractor beam positions were locked onto various parts of the Separatist vessel, trying to slow that particular ship further.
Of course, the ship would also have to deal with the fighter-craft swarming it. With the change of orders, all firepower and assets had been directed at this solitary vessel. For some reason, the flak cannons had directed their own solid shot against the Cloak's shields, which were absorbing it. This allowed a far larger number of snubfighters to close with the Separatist ship. Six TIE fighters were blown away in the first advance, but now these craft darted about the ship; thirty now, and their laser cannon fire would only add to tax the shields further. Their advance though, protected what was to come: a ninety-six concussion missile spread fired from the lined-up squadron of Sentinel-class landing craft. Half the missiles were aimed to target the port-side reactor and the other half, the prow turbolaser guns. This would force the ship to assess whether fire would be put towards downing the missiles or keeping off the attacking TIE fighters.
On the smaller battle, the Vulture fighters had turned tail to flee back to the Sabaoth destroyers. There were now only twenty-two Vulture fighters, as two had been destroyed. Turning tail and running though, was the worst idea they could have had. The ten TIE fighters that had been closing with the larger mass of Vultures now fired with impunity, their lasers raking the backs of both retreating squadrons as fast as they could channel the power. The losses to these particular squadrons would likely be horrendous from their maneuver, but some of course, would escape. The Sabaoth destroyers had apparently begun to pull back, preparing to shelter their retreating fighters, but the pair of undamaged Carrack-class cruisers Night Sky and Redoubt pulled ahead of the damaged Solaris, seeking to give chase. It was the Spire that noted the Diamond-class cruiser escaping, alongside the Hardcell transports, but the Imperial vessel was too far away to do anything other than mark the target and its direction of flight. It did allow for recognition of Rall's forces possessing extra vessels.
Indeed, the majority of Rall's forces would be able to jump to hyperspace unhindered; the Sabaoth destroyers would be hounded by the Carrack cruisers until they jumped, but they would be followed. The bacta ship and Rall's cruisers and transports were fully unmolested and would leave in peace. The Star Frigates were another matter though; the closest one would have likely suffered heavy damage from all the fire thrown at it, if not disabled, while the other would be able to escape if it moved quickly enough.

| The Saboath Destroyers were able to quickly pull in the remaining fighters of the flights that had been sent out. Their hyperdrive engines quickly pulled them from the battle. Even if they were tracked and followed by the cruisers sent after them, it was likely that the cruisers had no clue about the hyperspace routes of the system or Sector. The entire Sector, due to its lack of inhabitants and offering only one known habitable world, Queyta, was lacking in knowledge of established hyperspace routes. While the Saboath Destroyers knew the routes well, and were capable of jumping from the system, and out of the Sector with ease, it was more than likely that the Cruisers would meet the fate of crashing straight into a mass shadow, or being pulled out of hyperspace because they came too close to a mass driver in space. How the entire fleet that the Admiral brought though managed to get to Queyta the first time, and all in one piece without an established route, was a pure miracle, that not a single ship had been lost.
The two Star Frigates had been covering for each other, the closest to the ISD was able to target the missiles with its weapons, while Rall's own ship covered it and targeted the star fighters that swarmed them. The missiles though could be dealt with simply, as a rapid fire volley of turbolaser cannon fire came from the Star Frigate, aimed directly into the path of the missiles, setting up a screen of defensive fire. When the first missile was hit, its explosion and the ones near it, caused by others strikes of the fire wall, caused a large chain reaction of explosions that tore through the line of missiles. While a few did get through, the shields where strong enough to handle the explosions, which in turn caused only minor hull damage, a leak that was in an area that no sentient, air breathing beings where working in, good thing for droids in that respect. The fact that the ISD was using tractor beams, a full bank of them, didn't seem to slow the ship too much in the concern of its needs. While the tractor beams would be able to stop much smaller ships, it was a minor inconvenience for the Star Frigate which already had its hyperdrive online and quickly jumped from the system, soon followed by the Star Frigate that carried Rall.
The Separatist had vacated the System, and without any knowledge, or true ability to follow the vessels through the hazardous system and sector that the Fleet under Admiral Brogan, due to their lack of information on safe hyperspace routes, as it wasn't as simple as "follow that ship" out of the sector. Soon after Rall's fleet had left the base, or rather the skeletal remains of the base sent out a beacon, a warning that advised all Separatist vessels to not return to Queyta, the beacon still active was set up to keep it in tact, even after the base began to go up in a fiery explosion, caused by a self destruct that began to tear away the base and return it to the lava rivers it had once rested in. The beacon would be active for only a few days to ensure that the message was fully broadcasted before it would inevitably succumb to the elements on Queyta. Brogan had his prize, a system that was now free of Separatist, their location though know unknown to him.
[ooc: I'm considering this finished for Rall. His forces are no longer at Queyta, and have fled the system and sector.]
